We always use Alena for our maltipoo Bluey when we go out of town! I don't trust anyone with him but her because she takes such good care of him and even when we're leaving he's sure to give her kisses which lets me know she gave him lots of love, and he appreciates it!

Yoshi is truly a dog whisperer. Moxy boarded with Yoshi and her dogs for 4 days. We (and Moxy) knew the minute we met Yoshi and her dogs that the care would be warm and loving. Thanks Yoshi!

Katherine is amazing! My previous dog sitter moved to a different area so I reached out to Katherine. We had a meet and great session and everything went well. During the stay, Katherine updated me everyday with a lot of pictures. When I picked up Holly, Katherine gifted us a bag of snacks, a chewing toy, and even a framed photo for Holly! Thanks so much Katherine! We will definitely be back! Choose Katherine and you won’t be disappointed!

Chelsea was a wonderful sitter for our foster pup! She was quick to respond from the start and provided pictures over the day we had our dog boarded with her. She had some fun outside time during her stay and was happy girl when we picked her up in the evening. I highly recommend and will definitely be using Chelsea’s services in the future!

Vanja was amazing and my Bentley was so comfortable that she ate her kibble. Bentley never eats with the sitter until she cannot take it any longer, which is about three days. On a three day trip, she ate after the first day which is unheard of. Vanja created a wonderful space for her to feel comfortable and enjoy. Vanja is kind, patient and a true professional, we would love to use her again.

We’ve been using Allen for over a year and he’s the best dog sitter we have ever used. My dog does backflips knowing where we’re headed. He walks the dogs consistently, allows them a safe place to run and play, and cares closely for them. I never have a worry when dropping our girl off for days on end. Photos and check-ins are always sent daily. Thank you, Allen and family!! You are truly the best.

I was very happy with Kimberly. Our dog was very scared and not on his best behavior on Day 1. Kimberly reached out for advice instead of giving up. It worked! He calmed down and all went well from there! I appreciated her patience and resolve. She communicated during my trip and sent pictures which put my mind at ease. I recommend her and will definitely be a return customer!

About: I love all kinds of dogs, little wild ones, big slow ones, big sporty ones. They just crack me up. I will treat your pet with the utmost love and care at all times and be communicative with you about any changes in behavior, possible issues. I've had dogs my whole life and have been doing urban pet care for almost 10 years. I clarify, cause farm dogs are a totally different animal and I wouldn't ever even try to leash one. Ha!! I look forward to hearing from you. -Kristy Most of my experience has been with my own pets. I've had cats or dogs (usually both) my entire life. Growing up on a farm they get into all kinds of trouble and frequently need special attention. I also frequently pet sit for friends, neighbors and former employers. I'm very responsible and will care for your pet as you request. No treats unless you say so and no sofa time unless that's ok with you. Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs since I was a kid. I've always had animals in my life. Dogs, cats, chickens, a calf I bottle fed, horses... need I go on. Most of my dogs have been in the 60lb range. So I'm used to holding my ground and handling them when they get excited. Since I've been in LA, I have been a surrogate parent to my friend's dogs, but have had my cats Doodie (now with my ex) and Harris (my little southern girl). I also have a special gift for catching "runaway" pets when their owners can't. My experience administering medication Yes. I'm a master of the blow in the face to make them swallow their pills trick. I have also given shots before to a diabetic weenie dog.

I am dedicated to a low-stress, cage-free experience where your pet’s safety and your peace of mind are my top priorities. I treat every guest with the same meticulous care I gave my own litters as a breeder, providing a safe haven where your smallest family members can relax.

Emily was a great last minute sitter on our way to Vegas. She sent frequent updates and my puppers looked so happy running around just like at the dog park in her spacious backyard. I entered the pretty big neighborhood on the way back through Phelen and Lilac, much shorter time you have to be on dirt roads and roads were much better. Thank you Emily!

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Crestline home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
