“Amanda was awesome! Highly recommend. We have a young husky and senior Shih Tzu that is very needy and can be a bit much. She and her family did great with both of our dogs. We received daily updates and pics and videos. Which we appreciated as this was the first time leaving them. Our husky is a rescue and can be very skittish but somehow she didn’t have an issue with Amanda. Will definitely be leaving our dogs with her again.”

“Katherine was amazing. She had my 40lb husky mix, for 2 nights. She was very prompt with messaging and communication. Katherine took all the necessary steps to get me and my fiance comfortable with leaving our dog with her. She recommended a meet and greet initially. After that went without any issues we booked her for 2 nights. We received messages and photos of our dog throughout the day. This was our first time leaving our dog with someone else and Katherine made sure we felt comfortable with every step. Katherine is a very sweet woman and I would highly recommend her to my friends and family.”

“I was extremely nervous leaving my puppy alone overnight. Alena was sweet and welcoming. I felt safe and assured that my puppy was going to be well taking care of and she was! I recommend Alena and will choose her again when the time comes.”

“Phyllis was an amazing sitter for Trixie and Ginger! She had great communication from start to finish, keeping me updated and making the whole process seamless. She was so welcoming, and I could tell my dogs felt comfortable and well cared for. They truly enjoyed their stay! I highly recommend Phyllis and would absolutely book with her again. Thank you for taking such great care of my pups!”

“Erica really has been a god send! We are so sad she won't be in our area anymore but she was absolutely great with our dog! We used her serveral times and she even went above and beyond to monitor/help with his anxiety! Would highly recommend!”

“My dog Joy loved her stay with Jasmine! I was so surprised that she did so well Jasmines dogs, they are well behaved and friendly. Jasmine was very kind and friendlly and she loves animals. While I was away Jasmine frequently sent me pictures and updates on Joy's stay. I would highly recommend using Jasmine as your doggie sitter. Her husband is very loving to the animals as well.”
“Diamond was easy to communicate with and never took long to reply. I can tell my cat Juju enjoyed her stay. I would definitely use Diamond again and I recommend her to anyone needing a cat sitter !”

“Edith was fantastic!! We left our 16 year old dog with her for a week and were super nervous because we were hundreds of miles away, but Edith gave us so much peace of mind and constantly sent us updates with pictures and videos! Our little dog looked so content and spoiled! I would highly recommend trusting your pets with Edith! Thank you so much!”

“Great communication. Sent updates regularly! He was loved and cared for while I was away. With him being a geriatric pup, I always get worried about the care extended but had no worries. Highly recommend!”

“Huina and her family were great. Lincoln my sheep dog had a great time and I could tell he was happy with all the pics and videos she sent to me! Will definitely being having him board their again!”

“Ariana and Alexander were the absolute best taking care of my Buddy Love. This was my first time boarding him anywhere and Ariana and Alexander made me feel very comfortable with leaving him with them. I love and really appreciated the photo updates through out Buddy Love's stay. There was alot of open communication. 10/10 would go back with them again.”

“Kara and her husband were wonderful! Quick to respond, sent pictures and videos during the stay, and understanding. My dog looked like he had a blast and still wanted to hang out when I went to pick him up.”

“Hugh and Mary were amazing. Even with with my two dogs very different pup personalities, I do think it was like Doggy Disneyland for them both. And with pictures and messages received multiple times per day, it was fun for our family to see how cared for and how much fun they were having. All steps in the process were comfortable and easy. Highly recommended.”

“Patti is the best caretaker for my dog. I have tried a few dog sitters on Rover, and she is the best. She gives daily daily updates on how my dog is doing and my dog looks happy and content in the photos. I am always nervous to leave my dog because she is a special needs dog, but Patti makes sure she is well cared for, even going beyond the call of duty to express her bladder since she is an IVDD survivor and can’t urinate on her own. Patti is amazing. Thank you, Patti!!!”

Savannah and Dolly watched my standard poodle Zuko for a week. She sent me pictures and updates and has great communication. Zuko is a socially needy Velcro dog and requires a lot of attention. He loved Savannah and her family, and I could tell he was very loved in return.

Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
