“Shanna is great. She has been patient and collaborative in planning for my Roxie's care. We had a meet and greet, then a short daycare stay, then a full day of daycare. She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. Roxie is people and dog friendly, but the discrimination we have experienced on Rover, leads me to take things in a new daycare/boarding situation slowly. Shanna has been very reassuring and understanding. throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend her.”

“Baby Girl had the BEST time! They were so loving and treated her as their own! All any parent could ask for! She will definitely return! Thank you so much ❤️”

“Thank you for taking care of my dogs. I'm thankful that she walked them and gave them many water breaks. I know my dogs are safe with Dominie. I will definitely use her in the future as their sitter. It's nice having someone you can trust with your precious animals.”

“Highly recommend her! My family and I always worry on who we leave our dog with, we try to look for the best person that can fit oreo. She was very nice and did send me many photos of him while on his stay. My family and I know when our dog feels sacred of the person, and when she sended us photos our dog looked happy and relaxed. And especially her doggos who are also very nice. I know for sure my dog enjoyed his stayed there!”

“It was my first time ever using Rover. I was a bit skeptical but Jess took care of me and Beau. Answered all my questions and concerns prior to meet up. Jess was flexible with our time and date. When I dropped Beau off I had forgotten a water bowl and Jess had extra supplies for all my pups needs. During beaus time with Jess I got as many updates as requested and there was very clear communication and a timely response which help kill off the anxiety of leaving my pup! When I came for pick up Beau was so happy go lucky! Definitely huge shout out to Jess for taking care of my pup and keeping him company and happy!”

About: I cared for my dog Angel for over 16 years. The last year of her life was more difficult, so I am familiar with and comfortable caring for senior dogs and their extra needs. I have also dog/cat-sat for many friends over the years, so I am comfortable with multiple-pet homes and all breeds. I really love animals and one thing I can guarantee (and proof is in my photo gallery!) is that yours will get lots of love, snuggles, and attention from me during my care :-) Rover is currently my only employment, and I stay at home most of the week, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets! I have a fenced yard, and pets are welcome to roam the backyard and house, but I also have a large crate if crate training is needed. I currently have no other pets in the home.

“Joshua took care of our dog Cleo like his own! Loved the frequent updates and that she made two new doggy friends and had an absolute amazing time with him. Joshua is a true dog lover and made it so easy to leave our pup in his hands. Will absolutely call him again, thank you!”

I’ve been dog sitting friends dogs the last few years to help them out, this year I’ve been dog sitting for friends of friends. My pups booking was last minute and I couldn’t find no one, I came across her page, she was my last hope. She thankfully said Yes! She is very kind and my pup was not scared to be around her. When I went to pick him up he looked great and did not have a sad or scared look.”

About: We currently have 2 little loves. Maggie is a 7lb bossy Maltipoo and will be 12 in April. Sam is a very playful 2 year old chihuahua, rescued from the bushes of Starbucks, and he looooves play dates with pups of all sizes!! I could not imagine a life without pups! I have a soft spot in my heart for senior pups. I have lost 2 in the last few years. We also have tortoises and can care for a variety of cages pets. I am a retired childcare provider with a couple side hustles and I am home most days. My pups are my children. I worry about them when I am not home, as I did when my human children were young. Pups may bring their favorite toys if they would like and their favorite bed and/or crate. Pups also get an evening snack, if their parent permits. We have a mobile groomer that stops by every 8 weeks for pups with appointments.
