She is well versed in dog behavior. My dog, coincidentally a "pitbull type" is often categorized and judged as "vicious or aggressive" even before people meet her. I've had dog sitters on Rover decline to provide services simply because of her breed or her appearance. Shanna understands that Roxie is a dog: a dog with her own level of prey drive (so Roxie is not allowed in her daughter's room cause of the hamster she has); a dog with some anxiety who barked at her husband when he came into the house. They didn't freak out. Shanna understood Roxie's behavior and worked through it, allowing Roxie to get to know her husband, settle and move on. I truly appreciate her family's openness and acceptance. We have two more full days of daycare booked and if all continues well, we will book boarding services. About: I’ve volunteered at the shelters for several years. I participated in their cruising canines program that had me take a shelter pup out weekly for a few hours to burn energy. This includes going for walks, swimming, going to get a puppacino or just cruising in the car and wind surfing! I’ve taken all dog sizes and am physically fit enough to take on larger dogs. I’ve had animals of my own since I was 7 years old. This included ducks, pigs, dogs, cats and geese! I currently have 3 dogs of my own. I love any chance to meet new animals!
