About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

“It was my first time ever using Rover. I was a bit skeptical but Jess took care of me and Beau. Answered all my questions and concerns prior to meet up. Jess was flexible with our time and date. When I dropped Beau off I had forgotten a water bowl and Jess had extra supplies for all my pups needs. During beaus time with Jess I got as many updates as requested and there was very clear communication and a timely response which help kill off the anxiety of leaving my pup! About: We currently have 2 little loves. Maggie is a 7lb bossy Maltipoo and will be 13 in April. Sam is a very playful 3 year old chihuahua, rescued from the bushes of Starbucks, and he looooves play dates with pups of all sizes!! I could not imagine a life without pups! I have a soft spot in my heart for senior pups. I have lost 2 in the last few years. We also have tortoises and can care for a variety of cages pets. I am a retired childcare provider with a couple side hustles and I am home most days. My pups are my children. I worry about them when I am not home, as I did when my human children were young. I have 2 large fenced in yards and a very friendly pup to keep your pup entertained. I also have a large covered carpeted patio and a spare room with toys. We have lots of toys!! Pups may bring their favorite toys if they would like and their favorite bed and/or crate. Pups also get an evening snack, if their parent permits. We have a mobile groomer that stops by every 8 weeks for pups with appointments.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. I mostly grew up around German Shepards and miniature Dobermans. I have two dogs of my own named Milo and Bear. I adopted Milo when he was a little less than a year from the pound. I got Bear just 6 months later from someone who couldn’t keep him. I love dogs and want to help take care of your pets! I am a stay at home mom and I also work from home. Working from home gives me flexibility to be able to be there for your pets. In my home or your home your pets safety and well being is my top priority. I will treat your pets with the same love l treat mine with. I believe pictures and videos are important to provide to show you how your pet is doing. I also send updates about your pets like what they’ve been up to and if I have concerns I definitely would let you know. I do live in a one bedroom apartment but I have a front yard I can take your dogs out for fresh air and to use the bathroom.
