“Gary was great. We have a big dog and we were worried he would be hard to handle. But Gary showed up on time, sent pics and did a great job. We will definitely rebook him!”

“Lucas took great care of my two elderly cats. When we got back from our week away they were healthy and happy. Lucas even noticed that Cindy was scratching our couch and covered it with a blanket.”

“Justin was great! He was very quick to communicate about booking and visits! He was on-time and flexible for drop-in visits, and he provided great updates and photos of his time with Callie! They went for plenty of walks, and Justin spent extra time throwing the ball for her, and just relaxing at home for extra company while I was away! I will book again with Justin for my next trip! He did a fantastic job with Callie!”

About: I have experience with overnight house sitting for my friends and neighbors, but have also been using Rover for approximately 5 years. I am also a pet owner myself for the past 8 years. I love dogs of all sizes and have a special place in my heart for big dogs! I do very well with cats and love bonding with them on their terms. I am a preschool teacher and work on weekdays from 7:30am to 6:30 pm (I work a lot of overtime) and am willing to check on pets in the evening. However, the time that I am at work makes it impossible to give dogs that need to be taken out on walks during the day an impossibility. I can house sit for cats during the week as long as they are able to be alone for the 11 hours that I will be gone. Feel free to ask any questions for clarifications or exceptions. I work more than full-time as a preschool teacher for about 11 hours per day. This makes house sitting for dogs over the weekdays impossible. However, I would be willing to take on house sitting for cats during the week if they are able to be alone for 11 hours. My weekends are completely clear and I can house sit for those days. My apartment will not be available to take in additional pets. My landlord has a policy on that. However, when working with other's pets, I have experience with leashing, harnessing, and walking safely with a variety of dogs or cats (yes, I have walked my cats before!). I am very conscious and situationally aware with my own pets and those of my friends, family, neighbors, and clients.

“I had an excellent experience with Clareese, she is incredibly reliable, showing up on time for every visit and keeping me updated with regular photos and messages. It gave me great peace of mind to know my cat was in such good hands. Clareese went above and beyond, not only feeding and cleaning up after cosmo but also spending quality time playing and cuddling with him. My cat spoke volumes about their gentle and caring nature. I highly recommend Clareese to anyone in need of a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. I will definitely be booking their services again in the future. Thank you, Clareese for taking such wonderful care of Cosmo! He loves you💕”

“I don’t think there are enough words to do justice for the amount of appreciation I have for Erin. Erin not only took this booking the day before I needed her due to a last minute cancel by another rover user, she also extended the time we needed her for due to medical emergencies. She went over and beyond for our dogs, especially considering she had to keep them separate the entire time and one of the dogs is not potty trained yet. She even washed the rags we provided her to be able to clean the puppies cage when she went to the bathroom! I think it goes without saying that Erin is an extremely reliable dog sitter, our dogs were very happy when we got home and appear to be kept for very well. She sent us a lot of photos and videos which our son looked forward to seeing everyday, and she kept us up to date on how the dogs were doing! I would highly recommend Erin as a dog sitter, you can tell she really loves animals!”

“Kaylah was a wonderful kitty sitter! We were so happy to have her. She refilled the feeders and emptied the litter box even when I told her originally she wouldn't have to. The kitties were very well cared for!”

“Both Savannah and Silas were awesome! I knew from when we met them, they were going to be a perfect match and they in fact were. My dogs took to them both very well, and I felt very comfortable while I was out of the country, knowing that my dogs were in loving and responsible hands . Thank you both :)!”

“Sandra did a wonderful job looking after our crew. She’s professional and personable and I felt very comfortable leaving my animals in her care. I would definitely use her again.”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I grew up with dogs and over the last 10+ years became a huge cat person as well, so I’m comfortable with different personalities and needs. Since I work from home, pets get plenty of attention, supervision, playtime, and walks throughout the day instead of being left alone for long periods. I currently have two cats, so I understand how important it is to trust someone treating your pets like family. I’m dependable, patient, active, and love spending time outdoors getting exercise with pets while making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available for boarding, walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting in your home depending on your pet’s needs. I also enjoy getting my steps in and staying active, so walks and playtime are something I genuinely look forward to while making sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my priority. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm, and supervised environment with plenty of attention throughout the day since I work from home. I do currently have two cats, so I ask that dogs staying with me are cat-friendly. In a client’s home, I respect your pet’s routine, follow feeding/walking instructions carefully, and make sure they feel comfortable and stress-free while you’re away. I believe pets should feel safe, loved, and treated like family in any environment. I have a pet-friendly backyard space for supervised outdoor time, walks, and play. Since the yard is not fenced in, safety and supervision are always a priority.
“Mary was wonderful at helping us with a last-ish minute drop in. She offered to do a meet and greet on short notice and her communication was great. We plan on using her again!!”

About: I have been an animal lover ever since I was little. I have had hamsters, fish, cats, and a dog that I helped to walk. I have volunteered at an animal shelter and have a passion for all animals. I currently work full-time but I would be able to drop-in before I start my full-time job and after I start my full-time job. I also would have more availability to drop in more times on a weekend. I currently have a cat at home that I take care of every day. I clean the litter box, fill his water, and feed him. I even have had to give him medication recently when he had to get some teeth removed.

Olivia is amazing !! She was able to fit me in last minute and was so good with my cat. She was super attentive, asked tons of questions (which really made me feel like she cared about doing everything right), and while I was gone she always kept me updated on what was going on with my cat and my home. She sent tons of cute photos and videos of my cat having a great time playing and being given lots of attention, and when I returned he seemed very happy and well cared for. She is also overall such a lovely person, super kind and friendly. Definitely recommend :)
