About: Hello! My name is Maya and I am an animal lover! I volunteered at a local animal shelter and was promoted to a volunteer coordinator there due to my dedication to caring for the animals searching for their fur-ever homes. During my time at the shelter I have administered medication, walked dogs twice my size, and have cleaned up far too many bad smelling liquids for one person alone. A husky mix name Thanos I am also a kennel attendant and shift leader at the big easy animal hospital &dog daze. About: I have had 3 dogs of my own! An Australian Cattle Dog Mix, a Basenji mix, and a working line large breed German Shepherd, which I helped train in obedience to be an SD. My dogs always had scheduled potty breaks and playtime. My job is to make sure your pet has the best time while keeping boundaries/respecting their space, ensuring their safety, and following your expectations of care. I am comfortable with any amount of shedding and the size of your pet. I can especially ease my interaction with pets that are scared and anxious, as through training my own dog, I am better at picking up the dog’s body language and only engage in physical contact if the pet’s body language consents. If you have an aggressive pet, please notify me beforehand. I do not guarantee I will agree to care for them, but I am interested in scheduling a first meeting if possible. Note: I do not drink/smoke, so your loved one will never be affected by second-hand smoke or inappropriate behavior. I am very available on the weekends and by the afternoon on weekdays. If you need morning care, please reach out and I will see if I can accommodate! My pets are routinely groomed and freshened. Everytime they come inside after heavy play, I clean their body from head to toe with pet friendly wipes. I use a brush that helps with shedding and smoothing out hair. Their teeth gets brushed every 2 weeks. I check their ears for dirt routinely and the inside of their paws for any injuries or cracking from dryness.

Olivia came for drop-ins for my two cats twice a day while I was on vacation for about a week and she did a fantastic job! One of my cats needed insulin shots and she proactively came over a few times before the booked time to practice administering the injection to make sure she did it correctly and was comfortable with doing it, which I really appreciated. My other cat also needed a pill and she made sure he took it during every drop-in. She is very communicative and reached out with questions and updates as needed, but for the most part, I was hands-off and knew my cats were in good hands so I could enjoy my vacation. I will definitely be reaching out to Olivia for any future kitty care needs!
Lindsey did an amazing job taking care of our 3 cats. She took it in stride that Zoe chose to hide under the bed every time she came to feed them. (Of course she came out on the last day.). Buddy chose to hide for several days too, and she spent time in our cluttered basement trying to lay eyes on him. Eventually he softened up though. Sammy was all in from the beginning, and he loves Lindsey. She spent time playing with the two boys, and made sure their wack-a-mole toy was charged up. She very thoughtfully left lights on inside the house for our return, which we greatly appreciated, as our flight was delayed and we didn't get home until 2am. So nice to not come home to a dark house, and everything looked really good. Lindsey is wonderful!
