About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life, starting with cats as a kid and later helping with my mother-in-law’s Jack Russell terrier and Siberian husky, as well as my own 100 lb English Lab. During my five years as a rural letter carrier, I earned the nickname "the dog whisperer" for my ability to befriend even wary farm dogs on my routes. Since then, I’ve looked after a mix of local pets, including a reactive Lab-Shepherd and a few energetic pit bull mixes. I’m patient, calm, and consistent, and pets trust me quickly. Pet care fits perfectly into my flexible schedule while I pursue my Master's in Behavioral Health. I value structure and routine, which makes it easy for me to keep pets on their normal schedule. Spending time with animals is grounding and rewarding. It balances the intensity of my studies and keeps my days centered on care, calm, and connection. About: I have grown up caring for all kinds of animals. I have the most experience with dogs, and small animals. Most of my family pets I provided main care for. Because of this I have grown a stronger sense of patience for pets, and have learned what will help them be more successful in their day as well as mine. I still am happy to learn more about the pets individual personality, and earning their trust. Though it is not my main career path it is something I am very passionate about. I volunteered at humane societies in my past free time. Though it is not something I can continue, I hope to make up for it by working with other pet owners. Thank you I currently work from home, though it is a part time job. Walks can be done 24/7 for whatever the pet may find necessary. Pets are considered in every part of the day from walks to the trash bins and fetching mail, to meal times and what is comfortable and safe. Born and raised in here in Salem, OR. My home is in a park filled neighborhood, with many walkable paths! A large, shade filled backyard.

About: I've grown up around dogs and taking care of them! I have experience delivering meds, taking multiple dogs on countless walks, and throwing a stick for hours on end! I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets! I am mostly available on weekends, and most weekdays in the afternoon. In home, your pets will be well taken-care of! I am happy to spend time in a backyard with some pups or go on walks!

About: Growing up with dogs, I cleaned up poop and washed them thoroughly. At 12 I began my pet care service within my neighborhood and served about 10 clients one with very specific medical needs. I am dedicated to creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere for your pet whether it be in your home or on a walk. Furthermore, I have experience in training and managing behaviors of dogs as I have dealt with many temperments of dogs. I am a natural when it comes to identifying and forming my service around the personality of the dog. Any direction given to me will be followed with the utmost importance and professionalism and maybe a few dog treats. My name is Laurel and I am excited to begin this joyous journey with you and your dog. I currently am in graduate school for counseling. This leaves me with a unique schedule where I am gone for 5-6 hours Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. I am dedicated to making sure your animal receives the same detailed care as you give despite these restrictions. I keep an eye on the safety and environment of your pet by consistently checking surroundings. I am also aware of the dogs body language, being taught that in my own dogs training.
