About: I love dogs and am looking to spend my free time playing with wonderful pups. Dogs are the joy of my life:). I believe that pups can teach me a lot about the simple pleasures in life. I am always spoiling pups that I meet with love and attentions that fulfills me and is appreciated by the pups themselves. I enjoy taking time out of my day to make pups feel loved, well-cared-for, and happy. I share a Shiba Inu with my friend Honza who I love more than anything. He has taught me how to be patient and kind when teaching dogs to interact positively with their surroundings. I look forward to encountering as many breeds as possible in my life so that I can understand more about what makes each dog different.

Recently I worked as a vet tech at a veterinary office so I have experience administering medication to cats, dogs, and horses. Most recently I worked at a dog boarding facility where I watched, fed, walked, trained, gave medication, and bathed, up to 50 dogs at a time. I have a flexible schedule and am happy to work around your needs and your pet’s routine. The only times I may be unavailable are when I have occasional prior commitments. I will be respectful to your home and your pet's normal routine. I am happy to follow any guidelines you may have about your pet's food, sleeping conditions, toys, comfort, etc.

About: I am 20, 21 in March. I’m interested in pet and childcare. I realized I’ve always been a caretaker and always make sure I’m doing above and beyond care. I am currently in school. I go to EVCC but only have classes on Tuesday in the evening. I am currently trying to finish up school so I can become a para educator or work at a daycare. For home care. I care for my animals by feeding them. Letting them out every 1-2 hours. Obviously the treats are super important! I care for a guinea pig by keeping him on a healthy scheduled feeding and I also care for a reptile with a regular feeding, cleaning and shed helping!

About: I have experience working with different types of pets for 10 years. I started providing services when I worked at a veterinary clinic. I have provided services to different dog breeds and cats as well. I also provided services for some reptiles and a quail. I send updates every day and photos, unless otherwise advise not to. I make sure that your pet is treated how I want my pet to be treated. Pets are our family and should be treated as such by the people you entrust them to. Also able to pet sit small critters: guinea pigs, hamsters, hedgehogs, chinchillas, and turtles. I have experience with pet sitting and walking. I have walked plenty of different dog breeds, even ones that I require specialized walks. I pet sit in home and my home. I’ve owned pets throughout my life. I lost my own best friend, Chai Tea in 2023 to cancer. He meant the world to me. Now, I pet sit and try my best to make every pet feel loved. I treat my clients pets with the same respect I would treat my pet. I’ve had plenty of clients that appreciated the service I provided and love the photos I would send of their pet. I make sure that your pet is returned the same way you gave them to me. I make sure they’re well fed and bathed. If there are any Issues, I immediately communicate. My stepmom is a veterinarian, so any questions or concerns, I can directly address them to her if I cannot get a hold of the client in time.

About: I've owned/been around dogs since I was a little kid, I've watched dogs for friends and have always been entrusted with their animals. I am prompt and on time, great with walks, potty breaks, and feedings when needed or requested I am free most of the time because of how my work schedule is and can be available on short notice to take care of your pets needs, whether that's just letting them out to go potty, feed and water them and take them on walks. I just hangout with them. I play games with them, do their nails, brush teeth if that's what's needed, go for short or long walks to the river or park and treat them as if they are my own baby.

About: After leaving the corporate world and starting my own small business many years ago- I found I had the time to watch and care for others furry friends and babies. A few years later- I welcomed my own fur baby- Winnie. She is my 3 year old female Maltese that loves to make new friends. She is sassy and full of energy. I have cared for all ages of dogs throughout the years and kept them on their at home routine per mom & dad's instructions-while having fun. I provide loving care and comfort while mom & dad are away and will send pictures and videos daily. Feeding, potty, walking, brushing, playing in my safe and fully fenced in backyard, medications administered (if needed) and most importantly helping make your baby feel loved and secure. I do require a kennel (you provide) for the safety of all for sleeping and rest time. I find most dogs find extreme comfort in a place they can call their own while away from home. I know how it feels to leave my Winnie Girl- the feeling of knowing my baby is in a safe and loving environment is so important to me and makes my heart feel good. I promise to make you (and them) feel the same. We can't wait to meet you! References by request. PS- I can take more than one dog at a time. I own a small business with extremely flexible hours. I am fully transparent and honest in my communication with you. When/If I need to be away- it is only for a few hours at most. I can assure you that your babies while in my care are in a secure and in a safe environment. I try my best to work with drop off and pick up times that work for everyone involved and can extend days if needed. My general rule with watching and caring for others fur babies is to follow your direction as close as possible, as I understand pets can feel insecure, lonely, sometimes sad when left in an unfamiliar place. I do my best to create an environment where they feel included, loved, safe and will communicate with you on suggestions for soothing your fur baby while you are away.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals, including dogs, cats, hamsters, lizards, fish, and even snails! I’ve been house and pet sitting on and off throughout my adult life, and caring for animals is something I genuinely love. I’m excited to help your pets feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s getting outside for fresh air and walks (when appropriate), enjoying some good exercise, or simply providing plenty of attention, affection, and playtime, I love making sure animals get the care and companionship they need. 🐾 Currently recovering from burnout from medical school. Very flexible. Love reading, nature, and naturopathic medicine. I have a hybrid car. I am Happy to drive for house sitting for longer stays. I ask for a printed list of needs and numbers. I take good direction. Plus I am a Dr. (not a vet) but I know it helps.

About: Hi. Welcome to my page. I have loved animals all my life. I’ve worked at vet clinics, humane societies and doggy daycares for many years. I will take care of your pets as if they are my own while you are away. On a side note I know you probably will read my reviews those people were in some strange parts of town and their pets were not ones I thought would work best with me. I value my own life and that of pets but if you disrespect me I can’t care for your pets. Because when I do take on your pets. I need to be able to ask some questions and sometimes personal ones. So that I can be able to help you out and keep your pets safe. Also, I haven’t done formal training but I have been doing some basic training too with dogs. If you have any questions feel free to message me. I’m currently working at a doggy daycare. I will love your dog and pets l while they are in my care to make them feel safe while you are not home. I have many areas to walk, nature places, a field and tennis court that they can run around in to keep them happy. Happy puppies and kitties.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .

sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
