Alison took care of my cat, Wolfgang, for 5 days while I was on a cruise in the Bahamas. Everything looked better than before I left. She cleaned out the old bits and pieces of dry food from his 3 cat treat bowls and the litter box was immaculate. I will definitely plan on using Alison again in the future.

About: I’ve been pet sitting for approximately 8 years, beginning in middle school when I started helping my mom care for pets in our community. Over the years, I’ve gained experience caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets with a variety of personalities, ages, and needs. I provide dependable, loving care and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether it’s drop-in visits, walks, feeding, administering basic medications, playtime, or overnight stays, I focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and happy while their owners are away. I also believe communication is important, so I provide regular updates and photos to give pet parents peace of mind while they’re away from home. 🐾❤️ I have a flexible schedule and am able to accommodate pet care visits throughout the week, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day. I am available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and pet sitting, and I do my best to adjust my schedule with advance notice when needed. I am reliable, consistent, and always communicate clearly about my availability so pet parents know what to expect. environment in every visit. I always follow each pet’s routine closely and make sure they feel comfortable, secure, and cared for while their owner is away. I pay close attention to detail, keep doors and entry points secure, and treat every home with respect. I also make sure pets are supervised during visits and receive patient, attentive care based on their individual needs and personality. My goal is to create a safe and stress-free experience for both pets and their owners.

Your pet/pets will be a part of our family for a few days. My teenaged son will assist with your pet's care. I have crates in the guest area if your pet needs quiet time. Our dog will remain outside if needed for the care of your pet. I have cared for hamsters and fish as well as dogs and cats. My family is allergic to cats, but I can check in on your cat in your home. I can walk your pet individually after they play with my dog. Your pets will have a separate room with or without a crate during any short errands that I may need to run. My teenaged son will assist with the care of your pet/pets. Your pets will have individual attention during part of the day with walks on my quiet neighborhood circle. Feeding time will be individual as well. They will enjoy play with my dog during supervised play time in my fenced back yard.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover based on a 10-acre homestead in Pageland, SC. I specialize in structured, safe boarding with supervised outdoor time and secure indoor accommodations. We have a brand-new 6-foot wooden privacy fence enclosing our backyard, providing a secure area for dogs to exercise, stretch, and explore during supervised potty breaks and play sessions. Guests stay in our large climate-controlled sunroom outfitted with seven kennels, giving each dog their own secure space to rest comfortably between outdoor time, meals, and enrichment. Crate rotation and routine breaks are built into our daily schedule, ensuring dogs have consistency and predictability. Crate & House Access Policy • Crating is standard when we are away or sleeping, and during rest periods. • Potty breaks are offered approximately every 2 hours during waking hours. • For older, calm, fully house-trained, non-destructive, and cat-friendly dogs, free-roam house access may be considered on a case-by-case basis with owner request and compatibility assessment. • Dogs with separation anxiety, destructive tendencies, or unsafe habits (counter-surfing, door-bolting, etc.) will remain on our structured crate schedule for their safety. Experience & Approach I’ve owned and cared for everything from hedgehogs and geckos to chickens, horses, and working-breed dogs. I’m comfortable with: • Medication administration (oral or topical) • Senior dogs • Puppies & house-training stages • Reactive or shy personalities • High-energy dogs who require clear routines • Multi-dog coexistence and safe rotations My husband runs his own business and is home most of the time, ensuring someone is almost always present for supervision, potty break intervals, and routine care. I am home evenings and weekends, and we work together to provide structure, security, and consistent monitoring. What You Can Expect • Individual crate spaces (no shared kennels) • 6-ft fully fenced private yard • Consistent potty break schedule (≈ every 2 hours) • Supervised outdoor time only • Optional house freedom only if fully compatible • Daily updates, photos, and communication We focus on safe, predictable, and tailored care based on each dog’s needs and the comfort level of their owner. Whether a pup thrives with structured crate rest or enjoys calm, supervised sunroom naps, we tailor stays responsibly rather than one-size-fits-all. I work full-time as an insurance producer in Monroe, NC from 8–5, Monday through Friday. I’m home all day on weekends, and during the week, my husband is at our homestead full-time and helps provide care and supervision. Since we work as a team, your pets will never be left alone for long periods. I’m also available for morning or evening drop-ins and walks depending on location and schedule! We live on a peaceful 10-acre homestead. We do not allow free play with other pets - so you know that your furry friend is safe and sound the entire stay! They will have supervised playtime with other pups from the same household, or with just our staff! Our top priority is a safe stay.

About: What sets me apart as a sitter is the wide range of experience I bring. I fostered pets from a shelter who needed extra care — many were underweight, had fleas, or were recovering from hair loss — so I’m patient and attentive with animals who may need special attention. I also grew up on a farm surrounded by cats, dogs, birds, and reptiles, so I’m comfortable caring for all types of animals and handling different needs. Families can trust that I’ll treat their pets with compassion, keep a close eye on their well-being, and make sure they feel safe and loved I work from home and create my own hours, so I am able to create a schedule that works perfectly for you and your adorable pets I have a large backyard that has a 10 foot fence, also, lots of shade. There are no other pets in my house so your fur babies wouldn’t have to worry about competing for attention

About: I have hands-on experience caring for multiple dogs of different breeds, sizes, and energy levels. I currently have an almost 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer, a German Shepherd, and a rescue pit bull, so I’m very comfortable handling active, strong, and high-energy dogs. In addition to my own dogs, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and cats many times, including feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I understand how important it is to keep our pets on their routine and give them attention, patience, and a safe environment. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I am available in the mornings before work, during my lunch break, and after work in the evenings, which allows me to provide consistent drop-in visits, walks, feeding, and playtime. I also have more flexibility on weekends, which gives me the ability to take on longer visits or additional care if needed. I’m able to stay organized and reliable with my schedule, making sure each pet gets dependable attention and care throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medication if needed, and any specific care preferences the owner provides. I make sure each pet gets attention, playtime, and comfort so they feel safe while their owner is away. I also keep the home clean and respected, making sure everything is left as I found it. I give regular updates so clients know how their pets are doing and can feel confident they are being well cared for.

About: I was raised with dogs and have been affectionately referred to as “the dog whisperer” all my life. I have lots of experience with rescue animals because my family helps transport, foster, and support them. I have delivered newborn puppies, given flea treatments, and handled cats & dogs of all temperaments, abilities, shapes, and sizes. My calm confidence is a great comfort to the anxious hearts in my care. I look forward to meeting your family and learning all their lovable quirks! I live at home with my parents so while it is difficult for me to board animals at my house with my dogs, my parents are home and can care for our animals when I am gone. I petsit full time so most days it is just me and the animal(s) I am caring for. Depending on their regular schedule, I try to keep their daily routine intact. My house has a fenced in yard with a dog door to a screened in porch that my dogs love. If I am watching a social dog, I will check with the owners and invite them over to play. My house has seen many rescue transports and one of my dogs is a foster fail so my house is already chaos proofed. I usually prefer to keep up the owners daily routine by staying in their house and feeding their animals at the same time and in their usual spots. It is a comfort to not change everything about their environment while they are anxious. When I take them on a walks, I usually let the dog show me the way as they know the regular route by heart. If they are older and nap 10x a day or if they are energetic and play fetch 3x a day then that is what we do, it really depends on each family’s individual needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 761 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Tradesville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tradesville. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
