“Nell was friendly, flexible about drop off/pick up, and so kind to our pup for her first stay away from us. Nell made our girl feel right at home and kept her happy in our absence.”

“Lynsey was very friendly and responded to messages quickly. It was good to know she has so much training and experience w/ animals. I recommend to anybody to have lynsey care for your dog.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for people my whole life. From shitzu’s, to lab mixes. I also have two rescues of my own who I’ve worked very hard with to make comfortable and feel loved after there trauma. I am currently a full time teacher so I’m available mostly weekends. Come summer time, other than a part time job I’ll be available often. I have two high energy dogs who love to play. We do not have a fenced in yard, but it is large with woods all around. We also have a lead set up for dogs who are a flight risk.
“Kristina and Jordan took such amazing care of my pup while I was away. Kristina and Jordan treated her with so much love, and sent many pictures and videos during the stay. I’m definitely an anxious pet parent, but their care actually allowed me to relax knowing that she was in the best hands possible and having a great little vacation of her own. I couldn’t recommend them more. Thank you guys so much!”

“James and family were wonderful with our dog, taking him in for a week while we went on a recent trip. His communication was thorough to assure us that things were going well, along with any questions about his care as needed. It was evident that our dog endeared himself to their family and had a great stay. We would definitely recommend James for any dog sitter needs and would rebook him as a dog sitter for future occasions”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs on and off for years and I’ve had a couple of my own. Would be happy to host your pet for a day or a few days, whatever your need is. I am fully retired at this time and will have plenty of time to play with and care for your pet. I am available weekdays and nights as well as some weekends. I am also available to watch them at your house as well if you’d prefer. I am happy to follow your feeding schedule and to take your pet for a daily walk. There are no young children or anyone else living in the house except me.
“Jesse was amazing with my pup and sent the best pictures. He was extremely communicative and made sure my fur baby was loved. He is always my first go to as a sitter I have to leave town.”

“Estelle took excellent care of Frannie for the weekend. She was part of the family and I felt reassured and comfortable she was well taken care of and they enjoyed having her there. It is so nice to be able to leave town and not have to worry about your pet. Thank you, Estelle and family!”

“Chloe's place was so much fun for my dog because he was surrounded by good caring people who have their own dogs each with a different energy level, all very chill and easy going. My dog made a best friend to play with all day. I'm sure they must have slept well at some point.”

“Robin is always so wonderful with our dog, Adelaide. She does regular drop in visits with her so when we need boarding services, Robin is always our first choice! She shows our dog so much care, attention and love.”

“Jaylese took wonderful care of my dog while I was away on vacation. She asked a lot of great questions upfront to ensure Zander would be properly cared for and attended to throughout his stay. Jaylese was very caring and thoughtful, always sending pics and updates. I could tell he got plenty of love and activity throughout his stay. I would not hesitate to use her services again and recommend her to others.”

About: I grew up with dogs. I had a Great Dane that lived to be 12. I currently have a mini bernedoodle that is almost 5 years old. I also have a bunny. I currently work full-time and am available on Saturday and Sunday for boarding and dog walking. From late June through August, my schedule is more flexible. I will be available daily. I live in a quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac with a fenced-in yard. I have a very friendly mini Bernedoodle. I love dogs that play and lazy dogs that just like to chill.
“Mary Ann boarded/took into her home my Daizy, a 12-year-old toy poodle, while I had surgery. The best recommendation comes from Daizy who kept looking for Mary Ann after Daizy came home! My little was pampered, cared for and spoiled and I couldn’t have been more pleased. Highly recommend!”

“Katie was great! She was very nice and outgoing. She arranged a meet and greet prior to scheduled date and she interacted with my puppy well and brought her dog Storm to play with my puppy. When dropping my puppy off, her house was clean and spacious for Gumby’s stay. She listened to any specific requests related to Gumby. I enjoyed Katie and trusted her with my puppy. I will continue to use Katie as a dog sitter in the future.”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“Anna was very attentive, kind and obviously portrayed that she wanted to care for our fur baby. Our dog can be a little difficult with strangers and it seemed that she felt very comfortable there! Definitely recommend.”

“Karina was amazing!! She made the whole boarding process with our dog easier than I thought it would be! This was our first time leaving our dog in someone else's care and Karina made sure to update us daily on how our Nova was doing and she even sent pictures! We could tell that our dog adored Karina and was always having so much fun with Karina's dog, Ariel! Knowing that Nova was being loved and cared for by a responsible individual while my family was away definitely put my mind at ease. I (and Nova) are so thankful and look forward to seeing and booking with Karina again! I could not ask for a better person! I would, and will recommend Karina every time!!”

“Fiona was fantastic! Meet and greet first and got comfortable with the setup. She sent pics and updates as requested and I will be booking with her again soon. I could tell my dog Cal was very comfortable there both during and after.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
