“Alan & Luis are always great with Tyson. They welcome him into their home like he was part of their family. They are flexible and I always feel confident Tyson is getting the best care when we are away.”

“Karina always does a wonderful job of taking care of our big, shy pup. She has made him feel so comfortable in her home, and now when we take him to stay he runs to greet her, so he has really adopted her into his family! Also, Jared has been fantastic in encouraging Sancho to feel relaxed. We can't thank them both enough for giving us peace of mind for our dear one, when we have to be away.”

“I can’t say enough about how well Sadie was cared for Kristina is certainly a dog-person. She read all the signs that Sadie was giving her to play, train go for a walk and chill. She followed all our directions and cared for Sadie as if she was her own dog. We received a lot of communication in the form of photos and videos. I would highly and without hesitation recommend Kristina to care for your dog too.”

“Couldn’t have ask for a better dog sitter. Loved getting updates and pictures. Daisy was a bit fussy the first day and wouldn’t eat and they made a special treat of chicken and rice to make her happy. Above and beyond any expectations we could have had. Will definitely be using them again. :)”

“Kathryn & Jeremy were great! Their house was cozy and friendly. Our corgi loved playing with their kids and he was definitely tired when he got home. They were great at communication and we felt our dog was safe. Will book with them again!”

“We feel so lucky to have found Katie! She watched Mac for 3 nights and was incredibly flexible and communicative. She was accommodating of our rather last minute request and returned Mac happy and exhausted. Her house is clean and so well-equipped for a big mischievous puppy like Mac. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“My 2 dogs had a great first overnight visit with Cruz who is super responsive and awesome with dogs. She gave me regular updates while I was away and I returned to 2 happy pups. We will be back :)”

“I highly recommend Klaudia. She did a great job with our dog, Macy. Klaudia has a kind family and two sweet dogs of her own. She sent several pictures, which I loved. I could tell our dog was comfortable and happy with Klaudia. I was worried Macy may not want to come home with us! We will definitely be coming back in the future.”

“My two pups had an overnight with James and his family. We have been looking for a new sitter for more than 6 months since ours moved to another state. The girls came back happy and tired. I got updates and photos while they were with him. We will be using James again.”

“A heartfelt thank you to Mary Ann for her care for Hope while I was traveling for 8-9 days! I returned to a very happy Pup (what more could you ask for?!)! Greatly appreciate Mary Ann’s care and will no doubt reach out in future!”

About: I grew up with dogs. I had a Great Dane that lived to be 12. I currently have a mini bernedoodle that is almost 5 years old. I also have a bunny. I currently work full-time and am available on Saturday and Sunday for boarding and dog walking. From late June through August, my schedule is more flexible. I will be available daily. I live in a quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac with a fenced-in yard. I have a very friendly mini Bernedoodle. I love dogs that play and lazy dogs that just like to chill.
“Our dog, who is a recent rescue and a little nervous, settled in quickly. Haoran sent us lots of updates and pictures, whichhelped us feel comfortable about her stay. We will definitely use her again!”

“Sean and Jill were great with Jack. They clearly knew how to take care of senior dogs, and went above and beyond to make sure Jack got comfortable with them since this was the first time they had him, and kept me in the loop with how he was doing. Would definitely rebook with them.”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“Riley and Hudson had an amazing stay with Heather. I received photo and videos of the dogs playing and doing tricks. The dogs even came home smelling better than they did when I dropped them off. She did such a good job I booked her for more weekends over the summer.”

About: I’ve been dog sitting for people my whole life. From shitzu’s, to lab mixes. I also have two rescues of my own who I’ve worked very hard with to make comfortable and feel loved after there trauma. I am currently a full time teacher so I’m available mostly weekends. Come summer time, other than a part time job I’ll be available often. I have two high energy dogs who love to play. We do not have a fenced in yard, but it is large with woods all around. We also have a lead set up for dogs who are a flight risk.
“Lynsey was very friendly and responded to messages quickly. It was good to know she has so much training and experience w/ animals. I recommend to anybody to have lynsey care for your dog.”

“Let start by saying that this was my first time leaving my 7 month old pup with a sitter so I was a little nervous about leaving her. Christie helped me to feel at ease by sending me pictures of my Zoe looking happy and relaxed in her home. She took great care of my baby and I would definitely use her again.”

Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
