About: I was raised from the age of eight with my Pomeranian, Gizmo. I have 4 years of professional experience with dogs of all sizes and breeds. My wife and I have always had at least one dog since 2006, most of the time we have had two. We currently have two dogs, our Mini Schnauzer/Cairn Terrier Bentley, and our Maltipoo, Prince, I am currently retired, so my schedule is your schedule, to include holidays, weekends, and short notice boarding/dog sitting and walking services. Bottom line, I am here for you and your dogs! We have a fenced in back yard for them to play in. I will also follow any special feeding instructions, to include times, special additives, or any treats. I only ask that you provide the food and treats your dog is used to; this will avoid any stomach upset from different foods.

About: I have two large breed dogs, and I can train dogs to do basic commands. I have taken care of animals ranging from rabbits and goats to horses. I have much experience with senior cats. I have cared for a cat for 17 years who was blind, and I just had to put down my 15 yr old cat due to thyroid issues for which I gave her meds twice a day. I have also bottle fed baby animals and had to assist one of my dogs when she had a litter of 11 puppies, which I cared for on my own. My only job right now is caring for my two dogs and my cat! So I have plenty of time to pet sit and or walk pets. I will care for the pets in my client's home according to their exact specifications. I can't bring other animals into my home as I already have 3 pets.

About: What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with animals and the dependable, loving care I bring to every pet I meet. I grew up showing livestock, so being around animals, from dogs and cats to livestock, has always been second nature to me. That upbringing taught me responsibility, patience, and how to tune into what animals need, even when they can't say it out loud. I'm comfortable caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments, whether it's helping with puppy training, giving extra love to senior dogs, or just making sure your pup sticks to their routine while you're away. I'm also super communicative and always happy to send updates and photos. At the end of the day, I treat every dog like family, with tons of love, respect, and tail-wagging fun. I am a graduate from Texas A&M and I have free time on weekends to walk, feed, and check up on dogs. I am not allowed to have any animals at my house so this gives me the chance to give all of my love that I have for animals and help someone that is needing a sitter. Growing up I was around my dogs everyday. I went on walks with them, played and trained them and even took them to get pup cups. I would give pets my undivided attention when I am taking care of them and will treat them as if they were my own.

Ashley is very good with dogs and it didn't take more than a second to see Gunner's positive and friendly reaction when he met her. Your pet will be taken good care of from this Rover provider!! Ashley also was a last minute substitution due to my May 4th surgery being bumped up sooner to April 27th, and another Rover provider unable to be in town April 27-28. We really appreciate Ashley for being there for us this week!!

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. What sets me apart is my lifelong dedication to giving every dog the same love, patience, and understanding I give my own. Before moving here, I was a foster mom for dogs in Puerto Rico and a proud member of OICA (Organization for the Welfare of Animals). During that time, I cared for dogs of all kinds — from shy rescues learning to trust again to energetic pups eager to explore the world. That experience taught me how to read their personalities, ease their fears, and make them feel safe and loved. I also have hands-on experience with senior dog care and know how to provide comfort and gentle support for older pups who need a slower pace. My own dog, Channel, is a joyful, friendly companion who loves meeting new friends and helps visiting dogs feel right at home. When your pet stays with me, they become part of my family. I provide reliable, attentive care and always make sure each dog gets the affection, playtime, and structure they need. Whether it’s snuggles on the couch, long walks, or quiet companionship, I’m here to make sure your furry loved one feels safe, happy, and cared for every step of the way. 🐾💛 As a retired animal lover, I’m fortunate to have the time and flexibility to dedicate my days to caring for pets. My schedule revolves around making sure the animals I look after are happy, comfortable, and well cared for — never the other way around. Because I’m home most of the day, I can provide plenty of personal attention, consistent routines, and companionship. Morning walks, playtime in the yard, and quiet cuddle moments are a regular part of my day. I also enjoy keeping a calm, peaceful environment that helps pets feel relaxed and at ease, especially those who might be anxious or adjusting to a new space. Being retired also means I’m never rushed — I can take the time each pet deserves. Whether it’s giving a senior dog extra care, keeping up with an energetic pup, or spending quality time with a cat who loves company, pet care isn’t just part of my day — it’s what brings joy and purpose to it. 🐾❤️ I care for every pet in my home with love, patience, and attention, just as I would my own. Animals are never just guests — they become part of the family while they’re here. My home has a nice yard fenced yard with a covered patio, perfect for playtime, lounging, or a little sunbathing for dogs who enjoy soaking up the sun. I always keep a close eye on them to make sure everyone is safe and happy. Inside, pets stay with me at all times — they’re never left alone or kept apart. Whether we’re relaxing in the living room, playing, or simply enjoying quiet time together, they’ll always have company and care. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, comfortable, and right at home from the moment they arrive. 🐾❤️

About: Hi! My name is Lex, and I've been pet sitting since I was 19 years old. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet's personality. I've been lucky enough to have some of the same clients for over three years, which means a lot to me because it shows the trust we've built. I've also volunteered working with animals, so I'm comfortable with all kinds of pets, different temperaments, and different care needs. Big dogs, little dogs, cats, senior pets, shy pets, energetic pets—it doesn't matter to me. I honestly love them all! I'm currently in nursing school, so being responsible, patient, and paying attention to the little details comes naturally to me. Right now, I have a flexible schedule and open availability, so I'm happy to work around what you and your pet need. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so I always do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I'll treat your pets like they're my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and affection. I can't wait to meet you and your furry family! Pet care fits naturally into my routine because it's something I genuinely enjoy. I'm currently in nursing school, which gives me a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feedings, or just keeping pets company. I plan my day around the pets I'm caring for to make sure they get the attention, exercise, and love they deserve. I always try to keep pets on the routine they're already used to because I know that helps them feel the most comfortable. Whether I'm in my home or yours, I'll follow their feeding schedule, make sure they always have fresh water, give them plenty of playtime, walks, or cuddles (depending on what they enjoy), and make sure they get lots of attention. I'm happy to give medications if needed, clean litter boxes, pick up after dogs, and keep everything clean and tidy. I also like to send photo and video updates because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy while you're away. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and as stress-free as possible until you're back home.

About: I am an experienced nanny/pet sitter, so I am well versed at tailoring care to an individual pet or family’s needs and expectations. As a pet parent to a rescue dog with special needs, I understand the importance of having a reliable caregiver you can trust. I take time to build rapport with animals in my care, follow instructions meticulously, and maintain consistent communication. I grew up with cats, fostered rescue dogs (until the last one never left💕), and provide pet care for friends, neighbors, and nanny clients regularly. I do have *some* experience with caring for chickens, ducks, goats, and horses. I have previous experience working for a dog rescue and have a special place in my heart for rescues, especially those needing extra care and consideration due to past traumas and challenges. I am comfortable accommodating any special needs, behavior concerns, senior animals, and medication administration. I’m Pre-K teacher visiting family in the area for the summer, so I have a completely open schedule with plenty of time and energy to dedicate to your pet! I am always courteous and respectful of your home and strive to meet your needs and expectations with care and diligence. I am meticulous about following instructions and careful to leave things exactly the way you left them.

About: I have had two dogs throughout my entire life. One of them is a younger German Shepherd, and the other one was a 15 year old Shi Tzu. I am able to walk dogs for as long as needed. I can play with and take care of dogs that have a lot of energy. I also can care for dogs who are sick and need to take medication, for I had to do this with my Shi Tzu for about a year before he passed. Although I have not yet pet-sitted professionally, I am very knowledgeable when it comes to caring for and loving all different types of animals, especially dogs! I am currently on summer break, so I am looking for some extra income before I start my next semester. That is to say, my schedule is extremely flexible! I can come in during early mornings, late nights, in the middle of the day, etc. I would prefer to go to the client’s home if the dog is a bit smaller. I have a large and friendly german shepherd who has loads of energy. I understand that this can sometimes overwhelm certain pets with certain personalities.

About: I have been taking care of dogs my entire life. I have experience with a wide variety of breeds ranging from Labradors to German Shorthairs and Mastiffs to Miniature American Shepherds. No matter the size, energy level, or special needs you can trust your pet to me. I personally have bred, whelped, and raised two litters of puppies. I am confident in assisting in any potty training of puppies as well. Additionally, having three dogs of my own I know how difficult it can be to leave your dogs in someone else's care. I am very engaged with you during anytime I'm with your dog so you know how they're doing. I work remote and my schedule is very flexible. For the most part I have the ability to set my own schedule. The biggest benefit to me would be to schedule your time with your pet in advance so that I'm able to block that time on my work schedule. I make sure that my pets and the pets that are entrusted into my care are comfortable and content. In order to achieve this I use a variety of tools and tricks such as calm exercise, interactive play, and enrichment activities. I give as much love and attention as they desire without overstimulating or stressing them out. I pay close attention to any indications of stress or other ailments and keep the owners aware of all potential challenges.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
