About: I have two large breed dogs, and I can train dogs to do basic commands. I have taken care of animals ranging from rabbits and goats to horses. I have much experience with senior cats. I have cared for a cat for 17 years who was blind, and I just had to put down my 15 yr old cat due to thyroid issues for which I gave her meds twice a day. I have also bottle fed baby animals and had to assist one of my dogs when she had a litter of 11 puppies, which I cared for on my own. My only job right now is caring for my two dogs and my cat! So I have plenty of time to pet sit and or walk pets. I will care for the pets in my client's home according to their exact specifications. I can't bring other animals into my home as I already have 3 pets.

“We have never had a dog walker before, but with some life changes, there are long days. I had heard of rover and decided to check it out. Our need was short notice… the next day. I reached out to a few people and Justin was the first to respond. Eager, pleasant and incredibly easy to communicate with. It can be an uncomfortable thought having a stranger go into your home. I never felt worried with Justin. He just has a way that makes you feel at ease. The first visit, I knew he had this job for a reason. When I saw the first pictures, it was clear he had fantastic instincts and a way with dogs. We have booked him at a minimum weekly since and it has been the best experience. It is cool watching the dogs faces change in the pictures as they get to know him. Justin is Waylon’s (my black mouth cur dog) BFF❤️ I truly cannot say enough good things about Justin. He is just a fantastic human.”

About: I grew up with a Lab, Goldendoodle, and Bichon Frisé and have volunteered at animal shelters, including Operation Kindness. As a med student living away from my own dog during clinical rotations, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust. I’d love to give your pup plenty of walks, playtime, and affection so they feel like they’re spending time with a friend, not just a sitter! I’m currently on clinical rotations, so my schedule varies from month to month, but I often have weekdays off! I plan my availability ahead of time and will always communicate clearly about the days and times I’m available. I’d love to use my days off to take your pup on walks and spend some quality time with them! I have a fenced yard and care for one mini goldendoodle who is 4 years old. I live in a new community and have a park and walkway for dogs

About: Well hello :), I am a skilled kennel technician and Dog trainer with a solid background in animal care. I worked for an establishment known for boarding and grooming fur babies, as well as earning my certificate for positive reinforcement training, providing me with the opportunity to watch them throughout the day and night. That includes playtime, meals, nap time, or just simple boarding, and if needed administering medicine to those in need. While doing those I’m also very attentive to our surroundings, constantly monitoring conditions, to maintain a clean area and keeping an eye out for an unusual behavior. I am currently a Dog trainer at Petco, and in school for Veterinary Technology. I do have a very flexible schedule and could always make something work with just a heads up in a decent amount of time. i won’t schedule a day that i am working just for the sake of the animal. I provide loving in-home pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits for feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, and companionship while owners are away.

About: I've been taking care of pups for over 15 yrs now. At first my own pups, but then I would help out friends and family with their pups while they went on vacations and/or traveled for work. My family says I have a kinship with dogs as most dogs naturally get a long with me. Sometimes I can calm the most excitable pup and have them relax in my lap. I work pretty early in the morning. I'm usually home by 10-11 am. I have a pretty good schedule regarding feeding and potty breaks. I tend to take the pups out for walking and play I have a fenced back yard and a dog park near by. I can take your fur babies to the park or on walks regularly. I currently have 2 pups myself, they are well trained and have a pretty steady routine (food and potty breaks). They get along well with other dogs, no biting or aggression. They do set boundaries though. NO humping.

About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats growing up! Friends and family have entrusted me to take care of their pets while out of town or taking their dogs on walks. I’m here to give you the assistance you need to make you and your pet pal happy!!😊 Im currently working full time M-F but work from home Friday so I have more availability! I am free on the weekends! I usually get off around 4-5 M-F but I’m willing to work earlier if I know in advance your pets feeding times :) For starters I would make sure (if possible) I’m able to meet your pet pal before so they can recognize me. I want to make sure we are both comfortable with eachother. I’d like to know the behavior of your pet as well! Some pets are more shy and reserved so it’s good to know that way I don’t startle your pet. I will make sure to clean out their water bowls so they can have a fresh water, groom if needed and make time to walk, play, and talk with with your pet pal! If there are any accidents(puppies are more likely to do this) I will be sure to clean up as if nothing ever happened. No one wants to come back to a trip with that type of surprise waiting on them😅I will also take your dog (or cat if that’s what he/she likes!) on walks!!

About: With my love for animals, along with my bubbly and outgoing personality, I’m able to bring even the shyest animal out of their sell, giving me my the animal whisperer I currently work part time (weekends) as a nanny, but I also want to bring even more joy into my life by taking care of your fur babies weekdays! First I let the fur baby get to know me in order to create a calm, loving, happy, and peaceful environment and relationship. Secondly I then check any list and rules that the fur parents might have given me, to ensure that the fur baby is taken care of properly. Thirdly I then play and interact with the fur baby for 30 minutes so they can let out any pint up zoomies. Lastly I clean anything I have used and check that all windows and doors are closed and locked before leaving.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in Collinsville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route, the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Collinsville after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
