About: I have taken care of dogs for most of life. Whether it was family dogs or friends dogs I have been trusted to walk, feed, and entertain many dogs. I am currently a full time student and will be continuing classes this fall. I am available during the week and the weekends to walk and watch dogs. I care for pets with love and respect. I can crate if that is an option or entertain and hang out with if needed or wanted.

5 stars is not nearly enough stars to capture how grateful we are that Purvi took care of our two labs, Addy and Stanley, while we took a recent vacation. Our Addy had just turned 15 the week before Purvi came to dog sit, and we were a bit anxious to leave her with anyone. Knowing that she has been having both good days and bad days made us quite nervous to go on vacation. But from the moment Purvi stepped foot in our home for the Meet and Greet, I immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Purvi was just so kind with both of our dogs, and they loved her immediately. Purvi clearly knew that we were worried about Addy, so she consistently reached out at least two times a day while we were away. She made special efforts to let us know that Addy was eating, and although we know she had to clean up after a few accidents, Purvi never once complained. It was so wonderful to receive photos of the dogs throughout our trip. Seeing that they looked perfectly fine helped us to relax and truly enjoy our vacation. Purvi is a true animal lover, and both of our dogs loved her immediately. We would not hesitate to ask Purvi to dog sit for us again. Thank you, Purvi!

We had an amazing experience with Jake! From the start, he was extremely communicative, which immediately helped us feel confident and at ease. He followed every request we had for Ollie and his little, it was very clear Jakr genuinely cared about making sure Ollie felt comfortable and happy. We received updates throughout the visit, which we really appreciated, and it was so reassuring to know that Ollie was in such kind and capable hands. Our pup can be a little particular, but seemed like he warmed up quickly, which says a lot about the care and patience he was shown. Overall, we’re incredibly grateful to have found someone so reliable, attentive, and compassionate. We will absolutely be booking with Jake again, and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a dog walker who truly goes above and beyond for your furry family member!

Ethan is amazing! Hands down best person that could’ve watched Joey! He did everything possible to make sure i was comfortable throughout the day and made sure Joey had the best time under his care. He ran with Joey when he wanted to sprint, allowed him time to play outside and sniff around, made sure he ate, etc. I couldn’t be happier.

Diana is an awesome pet and house sitter. She took such good care of my two dogs and stayed in touch with me every step of the way. She also kept the house beautifully. I appreciate all the thought and care that she put into making sure that my pups were well cared for and that I felt reassured. She also sent very nice pictures regularly. Diana was also very responsible making sure that she was available if there were any problems with my flight coming home so the dogs would not be left for too long unattended. I can not say enough about how positive an experience this has been.

About: Hi! I’m someone who has truly been around animals my entire life. I grew up caring for horses, dogs, cats, and even chickens, so handling different personalities, energy levels, and needs comes very naturally to me. I have a background in animal science along with hands-on experience as a vet tech, which means I’m comfortable recognizing health concerns, administering basic care, and making sure your pet stays safe and happy. My schedule is very flexible, so I’m able to accommodate a wide range of needs—from midday drop-ins to extended stays. I also have reliable transportation, so getting to you on time is never an issue. I’m very experienced with dog behavior and training, especially using positive reinforcement methods. Whether your dog is high-energy, shy, or needs a little structure, I adjust my approach to what works best for them. At my home, dogs have access to a large fenced yard for safe outdoor time, along with plenty of walks, play, and attention. I also have a very friendly, well-socialized dog who loves having playmates! For pets that need a little extra space or have behavioral quirks, I have fully separate areas to ensure everyone stays comfortable and stress-free. Above all, I treat every pet like they’re my own—safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is super flexible! Week days and weekends. I can do daily or weekly scheduled walks for convenience as well. Early morning or late night visits are ok as well. I always walk clients dogs with full safety and trust in mind. I treat every animal as if it’s my own and always make sure they are happy and healthy when I leave. I have no problem cleaning up accidents in the house as well.

Hadija did a fantastic job watching Layla overnight. She made sure all instructions were followed and sent lots of pictures. There was great communication and Layla was very well cared for. House was clean, you would not know anyone was even in the house! We would definitely use her again and even potentially for longer stays!

About: I’ve always had multiple pets my whole life from a young age, learned responsibilities by feeding, grooming, walking, entertaining, training and medically providing for all my pets and any animal in my care. I have experience working in multiple vet clinics throughout my childhood as I was a pre-vet major up until junior year of college so I have a lot of experience with all kinds of animals and medical knowledge as well. I now have my own dog, Appa, who is 2 that I raised from a puppy and am currently self training. I am currently a phd grad student at vanderbilt university so I have morning classes and lab work, but I live right down the road from campus (less than 5 min drive) and I always come home immediately after my classes/work to be home with Appa. Pet care fits into my daily schedule as I spend as much time as i can working from home so I can be with my dog. I have a 1 bedroom apartment and i live with my 2 year old fur baby named Appa! I have an apt with room for some zoomies and room to play with toys, I have a balcony if they like being outside and my buidling also has a small dog park on the roof with 2 fenced circular yards lined with turf so they can run around at a mini park as much as they want!

Mila has been an amazing host for our dog during our vacation. Right off the bat when we first met her we got an excellent first impression. This was the first time leaving Buddy at someone else’s house, but after meeting with Mila and having a trial sleepover, I never worried for a minute while we were away. Mila is a very caring, calm, and loving person and provided us with daily picture or video updates. She’s the best! I would highly recommend Mila anytime. Thanks for doing such a great job!

About: I have been caring for dogs and cats for 7 years for family, friends, and clients, and I absolutely love making sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I currently work as a gym manager, which allows me flexibility throughout the day since I typically start work later in the morning. I am also able to step away during the day for walks, check-ins, feeding, and quality time with your pets. I understand how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your furry family members. In addition to making sure pets are happy and well cared for, I always treat every home with the same respect and cleanliness I would expect in my own space. I have experience with both dogs and cats, and I personally have 2 cats, 1 dog, and a bearded dragon. Caring for animals has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and my goal is always to make sure your pets feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you’re away! Pet care fits very well into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work as a gym manager Monday through Friday, and my schedule typically starts between 10 AM and 12 PM. Because of my later start time, I am available in the mornings for walks, feedings, and check-ins. I am also able to step away during my lunch break to check on pets, let them out, or spend some quality time with them. I have flexibility throughout the week, and I am available on weekends as well. I always prioritize making pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own environment. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any specific instructions they provide. I also make sure to be respectful of their home by keeping things clean and treating their space with care. I understand that every pet has a different personality and needs, so I take the time to get to know each animal and provide them with the attention, affection, and exercise they need. My goal is to make pets feel comfortable while giving owners peace of mind knowing their animals and home are being well taken care of. At this time, I primarily offer care in the client’s home, including drop-in visits, walks, and check-ins.

Sarah took very good care of our little girl while we were gone for 10 days. She stayed with her, sent pictures and updates, and even helped with a few things around the house like watering plants. When we returned home the house was as clean if not cleaner than when we left it! She even went above and beyond waiting for a grocery delivery when our flight was delayed. Our fur baby appeared happy and well taken care of while we were gone. She went on walks, played, and had lots of snuggles. We were so grateful she got to stay in her home and we are so glad we chose Sarah as our sitter.

Bridget and I were unable to meet, due to a last-minute booking, before she agreed to housesitting with my cat Lily. However, that was not an issue at all because she was very communicative and open with me with any problems in her stay. From the photos that I received, it was obvious that Lily trusted her and enjoyed her company, which is any pet parents first concern. On the last day, although I told her that she did not need to do any of it, she washed the linens from her bedroom, as as well as as the previous sitters bedroom linens, all the towels, the shower curtain, and it was obvious that she had cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen spaces as well. This was above and beyond, but I think it goes to show her attention to detail and her desire to leave your home in the same or better condition than she found it. I would not hesitate to reach out to Bridget again when I have to travel.

About: I am full of love and intentionality for animals. I care for their thoughts and emotions, needs and desires. I love to connect with animals in a way that makes them feel loved, secure, stable, and safe. I have experience in training a boxer puppy which is a full-time commitment! I am able to understand an animal’s body language and their ways of communicating. This allows me to provide the care that an animal needs for any given circumstance. I have also cared for animals in their old age. This allows me to understand the various needs and aging animal has and the unique tenderness that is required to love and care for them. I am currently a student at Rutgers University. I live in Bridgewater, NJ and commute to school. I am on my final semester and have a very light schedule. I do the majority of my work from home so I have a flexible schedule that can meet various needs. I am also very content to lounge and relax with animals that like to do so. I am intentional and relational and eager to build a bond with any animal that I come in contact with.

FAQs for House Sitting - Three Bridges

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 2,843 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Three Bridges. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Three Bridges walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Three Bridges maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Three Bridges choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Three Bridges. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
