“Great first experience with Rover. Our first booking had to cancel just days before our trip. Julie got right back to us and came for a meet and greet that same day. The dogs had a great weekend and she kept updated throughout the weekend. Thank you so much!”

“Matthew is wonderful as a house sitter! The pets were happy, the house was left immaculate and I would not hesitate to recommend him. Great communication as well!”

“Wow, I can not believe the great job that she did and will definitely be using her services again. I was left a little in a predicament when another sitter backed out in me just 3 days before I was supposed to be gone for a week. Denise answered my last minute plea for help and we did a meet and greet with the animals. She did a great job taking care of them and I am sure they will miss her especially Coco, who she always took on walks. I highly recommend her.”

“We recently had Samuel look after our dog in our home while we traveled for a few days. He offered a meet and greet and explained very thoroughly how he’d care for our dog. He listened and asked questions about our dog’s routine to make sure he provides the best care. While we were traveling, we received daily text messages with pictures and updates of our dog. We had a great experience working with Sam, Thank You for taking such amazing care of our dog and home. Mini really enjoyed your company! We will be in contact again!”

“Z’le did an amazing job caring for our pups while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. She watched them for 3 weeks. They had a bit of a hard time adjusting at first, but Z’le comforted them and really took charge of the situation! Absolutely recommend!!”

“Emily did an awesome job looking after Sasha & Max. She looked after our dogs for 2 weeks and sent photos as well as keeping us informed of how they were doing. We will definitely book Emily again 😊”

“Jessica took care of our three dogs while we were out of town, and we couldn't be more grateful. From the moment we met her, it was clear she truly loves animals and knows how to handle multiple dogs with care and confidence. Each of our pups has a different personality and set of needs, and Jessica gave them all the attention, exercise, and affection they needed. She kept us updated with messages and adorable photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs and a clean house. We highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and responsible dog sitter. We'll definitely be booking her again!”
“Wonderful! Very attentive to my poodles. Helped to address a food issue when one of mine went on a hunger strike. Very respectful of my home. She stayed for 3 days and 2 nites. Great communication! Love her!!”

“Ben was fantastic! He made my work trip as stress-free as it could be. He made sure to let me know when he first got there to take care of Clay and sent me daily updates each night. It was very reassuring knowing that Clay was in such good hands! I will definitely be using Ben's services again!”

About: I've had experience with labradors as family pets for roughly 10 years. From their interesting bathing routines to their high energy bursts I understand the struggles! I also have experience with small dogs and australian shepherds. I am currently focusing on dog walking but I am more than willing to accommodate to other pet necessities. I am a full time RN which means I work 3 nights a week. Pet care will be doable for about 4 times a week! My schedule is flexible so it is not consistent every week but I am available to go for early and midday walks. I am willing to accommodate pet care should I be free to do so! I will follow the pet owners routine so that they are not confused in the change of care. I will do my best to stay consistent and to practice their upmost safety.
“Zoe has been great for short stays or even long stays. I have used her twice now and both times have been great. I would definitely reach out to her for my sitting needs again in the future. She is a great communicator and sends daily updates and pictures.”

About: Elvis, a 14lb shi-poo and his two new buddies, Tucker and Nanook, love having other puppy guests over since his big brother passed on. We are very active and enjoy going for long walks and finding new things to sniff. The house is open with plenty of space to lounge on. The house is tiled except for the guest bedrooms and pretty puppy proof with a close of a few bedroom doors and a blanket on the couch. The pups have full access to a fenced outdoor space where squirrel and bird activity can be found in the mornings. I have had dogs since I was 7 years old and I volunteered at shelter for many years. I grew up with animals of all kinds on a farm in Vermont and its just my way of life. Furry friends are the best! I will cherish yours as much as I cherish mine. Please note that I prefer only weekend stay-cations for your pup but can do mid week if we arrange with enough advance notice. I have a pretty flexible schedule and my husband works from home. The dogs will get plenty of belly rubs and love. Since, we have three of our own, we are very prepared for any doggie need I have a fenced in yard and we we generally keep the dogs corralled to wherever we are or in the non carpet areas. We are happy to crate, if you bring one. Dogs can go on furniture (up to 25lb)
About: I have had four dogs over the years along with over 100 fosters over Covid. Even after Covid, we still take in puppies every once in a while, although recently, we just got a new puppy. I am extremely flexible with my schedule currently , and will be for majority of the summer. I don’t mind housesitting and I don’t mind learning new things to take care of different pets. I also have experience with reptiles as I used to have a bearded dragon. Although, sadly, we had to rehome because of his health issues 🥲. I have no permanent job, although I will be taking time over the summer to spend with my family. All I ask is that you give me a heads up on when and where you need me. Two of my current dogs are very low maintenance, as Rusty has gotten older he has gotten arthritis so we go on as many walks as he can tolerate. Austin is the definition of a couch potato. While Isla hates the leash, but we are training her to comfortable with it. I truly believe that your pet is my pet and I will always take the best care of any and all pets I encounter. I truly love animals and look forward to meeting your best friends.

“Will was very attentive to Penny. Checked in on her, fed her at same time everyday and stayed overnight with her. When I came back on Sunday, she was very content, and not stressed at all. I will use Will again.”

“She went above and beyond. Was great at communicating and sent lots of pictures for peace of mind. You can tell she truly loves animals!!! We will be using her again”

Thousand Oaks pet parents share their Rover experiences
One word to describe Pauline is Fabulous!!! She has a ton of experience and knowledge when it comes to dogs. My older dog now needs insulin twice a day and Pauline was up to the task. She house sat the dogs and did everything we ask of her. our dogs weren't exactly friendly but she managed them so well that she had them walking the neighborhood, a first for us!! Pauline has a very nice outgoing personality that makes it super easy to communicate with her and is the nicest person you'll ever meet. We were blown away by just how good she really was, we will never use anyone else!!!!!!

This was my first time using Rover, and I needed a cat sitter at the last minute. Kristina was fantastic! She communicated regularly and sent daily pictures, which gave me peace of mind. She even provided a private room for Chloe to help reduce stress, which I really appreciated. Kristina went above and beyond to make sure Chloe was comfortable and cared for. Highly recommend!

Karen was absolutely wonderful! We received frequent updates and took such amazing care of our pup as shown through the photos. She left the house immaculately clean and even washed her bedding. We were not expecting that! We will definitely use her again and she was an amazing fit with our reactive pup.

Ella is the best! She was so attentive and trustworthy when watching our dogs for a few days. I can tell she took care of them as if they were her own. She also sent us lots of updates and pictures the whole time without us asking. I would 100% recommend Ella as a rover anytime!

Stephanie is such an amazing person to rely on for help with your pets. Since moving to San Antonio, we have struggled to find a pet sitter we can trust with our cat and elderly dog. Stephanie took the time to meet with us and go over each detail about caring for them. She was extremely communicative and respectful of our home. She is also extremely knowledgeable about pets in general. We’re so grateful to have met her, and we look forward to working with her again. Thank you, Stephanie!
