Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for over 6 years and have been a pet owner most of my life. I have had a hospice dog and have a soft spot for senior animals. I currently have a Siberian husky, a husky/shepard mix and 2 cats! I currently have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available as needed. Animals are a significant part of my life and I look forward to helping you and your family. I am available for dog walks, drop ins, or pet sitting. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats as part of our family. They are definitely spoiled but also well trained. I take pet care very seriously, every animal deserves respectful and loving care. My dogs require a lot of activity due to their breeds which has given me a lot of experience with high energy, high needs dogs.

About: I have always had multiple pets, dogs and cats. I currently have a black lab named bear and a black cat named Rosie. I also have house and babysat for a number of families. I love hanging out with animals and am known to be super attentive and responsible. I work part time in the summer and often either work a morning or night shift, not typically all day and have time to play with your pups! (Or cats) I will be sure to spend ample time with your dogs outside either within a fenced area or on a leash and will make sure your house and pup are left the same way I found them.

About: If my rates are an obstacle in caring for your pet then I’m happy to provide a sliding scale and have a discussion upon request. Professionally, I was vet assistant at an animal clinic before returning to farm animal work. At the clinic I learned the basics of animal health care and I learned how to properly handle dogs and cats. Throughout the last twelve years I’ve farm-sat and pet-sat for numerous friends and family members! In the last year I worked at a doggy daycare and worked groups of 11-12 large dogs. I also worked in group of 15+ small dogs and "solos" (highly dog aggressive dogs). Working in that environment took me to the next level of understanding cues and dog behavior. I learned to advocate for dogs, look for health and safety warning signs and how to manage group dynamics. I am currently a *human* nurse and making time for animals because that is where I feel I really come alive. :) I believe that animals are part of the family and I will treat them like so. I have basic experience with dog training and I personally believe that dogs thrive in structured and predictable environments. I love exercising and having fun with dogs, too! I have availability to help you with your pup or cat! Depending on the health of your pet I will socialize and exercise your pet's body and mind and of course offer any snuggles that are welcomed. I love exercising animals as much as it is tolerated by them. I currently work per diem as a staff nurse in Lebanon NH which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets. I am happy to abide by your house rules and expectations for your pet(s). I enjoy walks to dog parks, trails, playing in fenced yards and practicing obedience and tricks!
