About: Hi!! I am a Dartmouth researcher and alumni who loves spending time with animals and getting to know the Upper Valley better by house-sitting! I have a long history of pet care experience from my own pets to my neighbors and friends here in Hanover! I am experienced with senior pets and in administering pet medications! I am a lover of all pets, most of all, dogs AND cats!! I’m currently in-between full time jobs and work short shifts in the restaurant industry, so I am ready and able to care for your pets! I enjoy spending time with pets and your home as if they are my own: with excitement, respect, and cleanliness. I am an extremely active runner and hiker, so I would love to take any opportunity to be active with your pet (if they like!) Walks are my favorite part of the day too!

“Kathryn took care of our rather antisocial and uncooperative cat during our vacation, coming twice a day to medicate her. It was not easy, but Kathryn was great about communicating with us and she creatively problem-solved to get the job done. We were super impressed with her reliability, patience and kindness. Highly recommended!! We are very grateful to her.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs of all kinds since I was young. I’ve grown up my whole life with them around and have taken care of both my own dogs as well as family and friends’. I love spending time with any dogs and appreciate any time with them while I’m away at college and mine are back at home. I look forward to meeting some new friends! I am currently enrolled in classes at Dartmouth, so will be in class MWF 11:30-12:30 and 2-3, and TuThu 10-12. I often have little in the afternoon/evenings and have lots of time on the weekends. I can provide anything needed including walks, crating, feeding, or play time. I’ve worked with dogs that are both rambunctious and mellow. I can also help with anything you need around the house while I’m there and will leave it clean and your dog content and cared for :)

“Julia did an amazing job with our puppy while we were at work and always kept us updated with photos and text updates. We were so grateful for the time she spent with our puppy and it gave us such peace of mind knowing she would be well taken care of. We would absolutely be happy to book her again in the future!”

““Thank you Kassiopeia for doing such a great job caring for Thumper! I/we had a wonderful experience with Kassiopeia she is genuine, reliable, good communication and just a really great person. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and will absolutely be having her help with Thumper again. To be able to leave him in such good care, really put my mind at ease. Thanks!””

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Looking to get my own, but in the meantime, would be excited to watch yours. I have plenty of toys and treats and I’m happy to do anything that makes you feel comfortable to keep your furry friend happy! I currently work at Dartmouth Hitchcock full-time which is why I typically can only watch during the weekend. My flexibility means I can also sometimes work remote. Depending on your preference, I’m sure we can work out something great. I am happy to do anything that makes you feel comfortable. I love to go for a walk, so I’m happy to take them down to the small park that we have. Or if they’re not much of a walker, I’m happy to sit and relax as long as they know how to pick a TV show.

About: I'm a responsible, communicative, and kind graduate student with over a decade of experience caring for dogs. I've worked with rescue pups and dogs of all ages—from 8-week-old puppies to 13-year-old seniors. I treat every dog like my own, with patience, love, and lots of attention to their unique needs. My current schedule is very flexible, and I will be in town for most of the summer so I can hang out with your pup whenever! Once the fall starts, I’ll be in classes again but will have flexibility throughout the day and particularly on the weekends. Your dog’s safety and comfort is my utmost concern! I completely understand that your dog is like your child, so you want to make sure that they are safe and in the best care possible. Because of that, I will defer to your rules about where your dog can go, when they can be off leash, etc. You know them best, and I trust you!

About: I adore dogs! I’ve been dog-sitting for the past five years and have experience with all kinds of pups—energetic, shy, curious, cautious. I love to take dogs on long walks in nature and notice what they notice! Each dog is different, with different needs, and I make sure to make a plan with the owners so I know how best to care for their pet and make everyone feel safe and loved! In early July, I’ll be finishing up a yearlong fellowship but will be sticking around in the Upper Valley until September. Which means my schedule is extremely flexible! I’m able to take on recurring gigs or one-off dog sitting/walking needs. Unfortunately, my apartment doesn’t allow dogs, but I’m happy to stay at yours or take your pup for a very long walk! I find that there’s isn’t one routine that works with every dog. Each dog is different! I like to make a plan with the owner to go through their dog’s needs and get a better understanding of how to best care for their pet! :)

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all sizes and ages. I have pet sit for many friends and family as well as other people. I can walk dogs, feed pets, etc. I also own a dog and two cats myself so I understand putting your trust in someone to take care of your pets. I am home from college for the spring semester so I am looking to do some pet care until I go back next semester. I am able to walk dogs most week days and drop in visits pet a couple days a week except for weekends. I care for pets in the clients home. I can go over to the clients house to walk dogs, feed pets, and let pets out.

“Joyce did such a great job watching our cats! She did drop in visits and send so many amazing videos and pictures. We felt so comfortable knowing they were safe and take of:)”

About: I’ve grown up caring for animals my whole life. I raised my own dog from puppy to 15 year old senior citizen and have been taking care of my friend’s and family’s dogs and cats for years. Whether your pup needs a brisk walk or a trail run, or your cat needs company while you’re away, I bring the same care and attentiveness to pet care that I bring to the hospital. I understand how important your pets are to your family, and I’m here to treat them like my own. I have experience with dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m comfortable administering oral medications, following special diets, and maintaining a calm presence with shy or anxious pets. I currently have a flexible academic schedule and I work hard to fit in pet care throughout the day. I am almost always available first thing in the morning and in the afternoons/evenings and my mid-day availability varies by academic term From walks to house-sits, I follow the simple tenants of 1)“treat every animal as if they were my own” and 2) “treat everyone’s homes with the utmost respect”. Pet owners know best what their animals need so my top goal is providing whatever care that may be, safely, and in the environment that best suits each pet and owner.

About: I raised/trained a puppy several years ago, and I've been pet sitting since I was 14. I am also a very active person, and I love running, walking, and playing outside with dogs. I have work shifts no more than a few hours on select days. If your dog cannot be alone for a few hours, I can almost certainly find a friend or family member to watch them while I am out. I am happy to house sit as well if you are on vacation. I will make sure your dog feels comfortable, well loved, and properly entertained. I am very trustworthy and diligent with regards to schedules and special instructions. If boarding, please bring an item from home that your dog feels connected to (could be a bed, favorite toy, blanket, etc).

“Alessia was GREAT! She brought her dog so my dog had a play date :) she took them out to play and walk. I got great updates and pics. She was also super responsive while she was at my house, I really appreciated that because I don't leave Tito much at all!!! I will definitely be relying on her often!”

“We cannot say enough positive things about Valerie! We had a few rotations of sitters to cover the several weeks we were gone (family and a neighbor), and Valerie was definitely the most experienced of them all. Our one cat takes a pill daily, and while he takes it just fine for his mom, he wasn't taking it for the sitters. Valerie came up with safe, creative ways to get him to take his pill. She also left wonderfully detailed check-in notes and was very communicative. We'd highly recommend her if you want peace of mind that someone experienced and compassionate is taking care of your fur children!”
