About: I have genuine love for animals, I’ve been surrounded by animals big and small, from a horse to a tiny dwarf bunny. I’ve taken care of newborn puppies and kitties, as well as a newborn foal (horse). I’m currently in school for my master’s program and live at home. I have an outdoor kitty I take care of and occasionally dog-sit for my friend when she’s traveling. I have time to cater to new pets and have a couple days off throughout the week with extra time on my hands! I took in my neighborhood stray cat, she was only 4 weeks old and ended up in my garden. She prefers the outdoors but will come inside when she feels. I have her bed, scratch post, and feeding bowl on the porch and she sleeps there daily. For my friends I take their dogs on a walk for exercise and keep them entertained inside the home with toys.
“Lydia is an amazing dog walker for Hazel, always reliable and caring each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hazel adores her, and Lydia’s expertise shines in Hazel's improved walking behavior. Her warm and professional approach gives me complete peace of mind. Highly recommend Lydia for anyone seeking a dependable dog walker!”

About: I absolutely ❤️ animals and have "always" had pets in my life from the very beginning. I've cared for SO many different animals in my life; such as: dogs, cats, bunnies, turtles, fish, etc. Over my adult years, I've cared for friends and family members pets when needed. 5 years back, I took on the responsibility of caring for grandpa's dog due to his increasing illness. Bottom line, I love animals and want them all to get the love and attention that they want and deserve whether from their parent/parents or from myself in the short amount of time they grace us with in this world. I'm currently a freelancer, so I make my own schedule. Thus, I can move things around to better fit the needs of you and your fur babies if needed. Then, I don't travel much and can be there for those who do. Safety is of the utmost importance to me because it's what I'd want for all my babies, weather it's my 2 legged or my 4 legged child. I'd make sure things that may be harmful are always put up and put aways. Before walking, I'd make sure the area is safe and animals are always leashed up for the entire walk.
“Alex is great with both our dogs but especially the bouncy Boxer, Buster! He respects my time by being punctual or messaging me when he’s running late. Thank you, Alex and Rover.com”

“Alex was great with our Benji!!! Communicative and Reliable just like he says in his bio. I would absolutely re book with him again in the future. He sent us updates and pics of our boy, and helped us feel at ease with leaving Benji with someone new.”

About: People say I am dog-obsessed—and it’s true! I absolutely love dogs and enjoy spending time with them. Growing up, I helped take care of three dogs from puppyhood, including walking, feeding, and bathing them. While I don’t have dogs of my own anymore, I’m genuinely excited to be around dogs, whether it’s walks, playtime, or just giving lots of the love and attention that they deserve. Lately, I’ve also found myself becoming a bit of a cat person too. I’ve really come to appreciate their personalities and enjoy spending time with them as well. I’m a recent college graduate with a flexible schedule and plenty of free time, so I can easily fit walks and visits into my week. I know how uneasy it can feel to leave your pet with someone you don’t know. I’ve been there myself! I’ll send regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

I offer: dog walks; drop in services for feeding & other petcare needs; sitting in your home; boarding in my home upon scheduling. I have 2 locations to board dogs, both locations are within a mile of one another. I try to make it as homely for the pet as possible. “RJ took great care of Remy on his walk. He’s communicative, friendly, and transparent about everything. It’s my first time using Rover and it can be stressful finding someone to trust your fur baby with but I instantly felt comfortable with RJ and most importantly Remy did. He sent photos and videos throughout the walk which I loved.”

About: I love spoiling, playing with, and cuddling both dogs and cats! I’ve had my own dog for 12 years (since he was a puppy), and I often help take care of my cousin’s and aunt’s dogs when they’re away for work or on vacation. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of time to care for dogs or cats. I’m available for boarding, drop-in visits, and general doggy care. About: I’ve had a lifelong love for dogs and grew up with my sweet cocker spaniel Bella, who was by my side for 15 amazing years. Towards the last years of her life, I really took the initiative to be by her side and constantly look after her. Now, I have a King Charles Cavalier named Bowie. My family and I got him when he was only a few months old, so I took a big part in helping raise/train him. He’s cuddly, loving, and playful, and always keeps me smiling. I’m a 19-year-old pre-nursing student at CSU East Bay, born and raised in Chula Vista. Right now I am currently in school but my entire weekdays/weekends are free. All I need is to know in advance so I can plan accordingly. I know how much pets are a part of the family, and I’ll treat your dog with the same love and attention I give my own. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, happy, and cared for. I am also someone who follows the rules and will follow any instructions that are given to me.

About: As a pet sitter, my experience revolves around maintaining a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable environment for pets while their owners are away. The day typically begins with feeding according to the pet's dietary schedule, ensuring that water bowls are always filled with fresh water. Regular walks and playtime are essential to keep the pets physically active and mentally engaged. Beyond basic care, I also take time to bond with the pets, offering companionship, affection, and positive reinforcement to ease any anxiety they might feel from their owner's absence. My goal is not only just to take care for the pet, but also to make sure they feel loved and secure until their family returns. Both me and my wife are self-employed and working from home full time. We have plenty of time to walk with the dogs at least two times a day, and play with them throughout the day. I don't have my own pets in the home right now. I have a fenced yard that can prevent pets run away. I always check my surrounding before I opened the door make sure no pets can run out. I always keep the leash on while I am walking the dog.
About: Give me a chance to take care of your furry family. I will treat him/her like my own, Spoiled! I will do my best to take care of any special requests that is needed. But will only sit furry babies 50lbs and under and will need a meet and greet with my Boston terrier & Min Pin, both are neutered.
About: I was once a dog owner before they passed of old age. So I know that each dog has their own personality, quirks, and habits like any family member. After my dog passed, I volunteered at surrounding local shelters to help dogs in need. I have experience giving medications and helping dogs with joint problems thrive. I understand that dogs not only need love, they also require habits and treatments that helps them thrive even if they may not like it. I’m currently in-between jobs, so I have a lot of time to spend with your pet. I’m available Monday through Friday from 11 AM-7:00PM; Saturday-Sunday 4 PM-11:00PM For pet care at a pet guardian’s home, I will follow the instructions on the daily habits of the dog as given by the pet guardian. I will play, observe, feed, and let dogs out for potty. I am also able to give dogs their medications if needed. I will walk dogs usually in the morning and the afternoon. I tend to keep doors and any entry-points locked and closed just in-case a dog is a “runner” or a “wanderer”.
About: I own 2 cats with my family and we all take care of them seriously. We do feed any stray cats outside our neighborhood too. I'm currently working on my own online shop so I have plenty of time on the weekdays to take care of your pets. I'm mostly available in the afternoon and evening during weekdays and weekends. I would regularly feed my cats with appropriate amounts and upon their health needs. Lastly, of course, ensure pets are safe even at home is the most important thing for them. Let me know if your pets needs more attention to any specific enquiries.
Tennyson-Alquire dog parents share their Rover experiences
Desiree has been very helpful I have booked her twice now she is very sweet and very mindful about the needs of my dog and made sure everything is okay before picking up my dog. she is very Professional handling dogs and what she do. I would highly recommend her.

Extremely patient and kind with my very reactive bully. Was attentive to surroundings during our walk and always looking for the best path to navigate Echo around and away from other dogs. She is now (finally) wiped out and sleeping on the couch after a mile and a half walk on the trails.

Amazing! My pup is a timid and shy girl by nature and does not take to people as quickly. Often times she will need to take a while in the same space with cautious sniffs before warming up, but she took to Ashley in minutes! Even my cat who is the most fearful thing in the world (hides at everything) came out to see her :). Ina's walks were great. She came back tired and panting and spent the rest of the day sleeping while I was able to work. Will be booking again!

10/10 would recommend! Bret took my request even if it was a last minute booking and he was so nice my dog likes him! He sent photos of their walk, came back on time and my dog came back definitely happy and probably tired since as soon as he got home he just went to sleep ☺️
