“Alisha is awesome! 😀 This was my 5 pets 2nd time getting a vacation from me in trusted hands with Alisha for drop in visits so I could do a much needed 2 night getaway. Like last year, she comes to re-meet pets prior & go over their quirks & routine. She always goes beyond 30 min as time flies with 2 attention demanding dogs want playtime, all on meds or supplements. She even stopped over for bonus time on way by to another client. Her communication & pics are great and she quickly responds to concerns like my senior kitty hiding & won her over next day with licky treat. I appreciate all she is juggling while here to make sure my 2 dogs & 3 cats are well cared for & loved on. And I appreciate her flexibility both last year & this when I added an extra drop in so could stay longer and enjoy the day & not rush back. I'm so happy Alisha is local, has a weekday dog walking client so passes our house that I trust & if ever had an emergency & needed a quick add on visit know she could help & my animals love her. So thanks again Alisha! 😀”

“Susan was wonderful with my cats, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and attentive pet sitter. From the start, you could tell she genuinely cares deeply about animals. She asked thoughtful questions, paid close attention to detail, and ensured my cats received the best possible care. She was also very personable and kept me updated while I was away, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I've already rebooked her to pet-sit for me again! She’s the best.”

About: I used to babysit for my friends, family membersand & neighbors. As well as I've had many pets of my own; cats, dogs guinea pigs, hamsters, you name it. I'm very good at handling bigger dogs. I'm very flexible when it comes to time and will work around your schedule. I'm currently home from college for spring break and my time is very open for both weekends and weekdays. My working hours start at 7am and go till 11pm. (But I can fluctuate with your schedule) I have a fenced backyard. And one very friendly small/medium dog, he's a little shy, but he gets along with everyone. I believe that our pet should be treated like family members. Walks, treats, attention and lots of love.

“Can I give Amadie 10 stars??? We had recently lost one of our kitties and had a 10 day vacation scheduled plus we had moved so needed a pet sitter for our senior, very shy kitty. Amadie was the perfect fit! Our senior kitty warmed up to her and she actually let Amadie pet her a few times. This was a first for anyone besides me or my husband! The patience, love and care she showed to Luna was beyond anything we ever expected. She also was so caring for our home and reached out with questions. Amadie communicated with us daily, pictures and updates. We will definitely ask Amadie to care for Luna again.”

“Nadine did an amazing job with our cat. Lots of playtime and pets when she stopped by for an evening drop-in. She kindly sent videos and pictures too! We hope to use Nadine again in the future!”

“Jie was wonderful with my cats! I was so grateful for the daily updates and pictures / videos. I would recommend her and I would also use her pet care services again in the future if I had a need.”

“Emily was amazing with Pepper, my shy hound. Emily showed up promptly for each visit and was very thorough. Even her pre-visit questions were thorough. She is very caring and kept me very informed. I highly recommend Emily.”

If you’re looking for someone dependable, experienced, and deeply passionate about providing exceptional care, you’ve found the sitter who goes above and beyond. As a college student, I have a flexible schedule with free time in the afternoons after 2 PM, which allows me to provide reliable and consistent pet care. I can visit, walk, and spend quality time with pets during this window, ensuring they receive attention, exercise, and companionship on a daily or weekly basis. I provide pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes, which allows pets to stay in the comfort and familiarity of their own environment. I offer daily visits, playtime, feeding, walks, and overnight stays as needed, tailoring my care to each pet’s routine and personality. While I’m unable to host pets in my own home due to being in college, I ensure that every visit in your home is attentive, safe, and filled with love so your pets feel happy and secure while you’re away.

“Jordan has ALWAYS been so good with my girls. I love having her watch over my girls and as long as she is able she’ll always be my first choice to care for my girls. She sends updates, and is so communicative and caring for them. Cannot stress how much your kiddos will be loved when she is watching them.”

About: I have pet training experience as well as walking, playing, and cuddling! I also currently work at a boarding and daycare facility! I am willing to accommodate to any special requests you may have as well! I have owned dogs for most of my life, including many very different breeds, and have worked with all age groups. I also have experience with other types of animals including many exotics! Animals are my passion and it would be amazing to be able to be around more all the time. I also have a smaller dog that gets along with others, which would be available for me to bring with me if you would like! I hope to hear from you and your fur baby soon! No animal is too big or too small for me to handle! I enjoy working with them all! Please send me a message for more information! I currently work full-time 4 days a week- which is a very easy schedule to work around. I am flexible when it comes to needing care for your babies! I live in a wonderful area that provides many different places to walk when the weather is nice and a small quiet backyard. I also have a small dog that is very comfortable with all types of animals as well.
About: I've had dogs my entire life and my family also fosters litters of puppies for the Guiding Eyes for the Blind. This requires a ton of training and patience. Whether it be crate training the puppies or walking the mama dog whenever it's needed. I have a lot of dog care experience. I'm currently working part-time so I will have plenty of time to play with your dogs! I am available weekdays and also weekends as needed! I have a big yard that is not fenced in but my two very friendly dogs love to run around it. I completely understand the importance of dogs getting lots of time outside.
About: I've been around dogs my entire life. At about 5 years old, my father adopted my grandfather's two Beagles and they quickly became my best friends. Today, I have 2 dogs at home, one that's 17 and one that's 7. And still they're my best friends. For as much as I love dogs, it really does feel like they love me back. Whenever I go over anyone's house I hear " Wow he never behaves this well around people normally." Each dog is so unique and the most fun thing for me is learning what makes them wag their little tails! I work from home from my apartment and only have one roommate so I'm incredibly flexible when it comes to scheduling. I'm sure that I could make just about anything work given a small notice. I have a two room apartment and a kitchen. Playing and feeding is easy for me in the apartment, but I also have a park right near me, about a 5 minute walk away.
“Carol took Nora while we went to the botanical garden. She played with her and kept her safe so we could enjoy our time in the gardens. I wish we could take her with us every time we travel ?”

About: I’ve been a reliable source of pet care for friends and family, including midday potty breaks, walks, and check-ins. I provide consistent, attentive care you can count on! I work as a dental hygienist Monday–Thursday, and offer pet care Fridays through Sundays. My limited availability allows me to provide focused, reliable care on weekends. Pets in my home are always supervised in a calm, structured environment. I have one well-trained, timid dog. Due to an unfenced yard and nearby road, all outdoor time is on leash for safety.
“Hannah is the best! She surpassed any hope or expectation we had when looking for someone to visit our two dogs while we were completing an out-of-state relocation complicated by last-minute schedule changes. It was great to know our best friends were in good hands, and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy their time with Hannah, who kept us up to date with pictures and notes and answered all of our questions. If we need a pet sitter again at any point, she is the first person we’ll look for, and we highly recommend her for your pets, as well.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
