About: I have worked as a recurring dog sitter for several families over the past five years, each with a different breed of dog (Weimaraner, Schnauzer, Dachshund). For me, this means maintaining a clean and tidy environment free from any potential hazards (e.g., not leaving chocolate at a level a dog could reasonably reach; making sure gates and doors are closed). In addition to maintaining a safe environment, I try to be emotionally tuned in to the animal I am watching. For instance, when the Weimaraner I watch gets anxious due to people walking past the house, I talk to her in a soft voice and pet her until she calms down. If I zip to the store, I will close the blinds so she is not in a position to be triggered by this stimulus.

About: I've been around dogs my entire life. At about 5 years old, my father adopted my grandfather's two Beagles and they quickly became my best friends. Today, I have 2 dogs at home, one that's 17 and one that's 7. And still they're my best friends. For as much as I love dogs, it really does feel like they love me back. Whenever I go over anyone's house I hear " Wow he never behaves this well around people normally." Each dog is so unique and the most fun thing for me is learning what makes them wag their little tails! I work from home from my apartment and only have one roommate so I'm incredibly flexible when it comes to scheduling. I'm sure that I could make just about anything work given a small notice. I have a two room apartment and a kitchen. Playing and feeding is easy for me in the apartment, but I also have a park right near me, about a 5 minute walk away.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, starting my pet care career in high school at a doggie daycare, and ending up here, with 6 years of professional experience and the same love of animals I’ve had since the beginning. I do have a full time job that prevents me from doing any jobs between the hours of 7am-4pm Tuesday-Thursday. Friday/Saturday I am available beginning at 2pm, and Sunday/Monday I have open availability. I treat all animals the way I would hope someone would take care of my girls when I go on vacation. There’s nothing more important to me than knowing they’re in good hands with someone who will not only stop by and feed them, but spend time with them, maybe cuddle on the couch or just keep them company. Due to growing up in small town farming community. Currently I am supervising and helping my teenage daughter care for multiple miniature and full size horses in Leverett MA. I do not have fenced in yard but I keep my current dog on tie out or 50ft lead. Very quiet not normally traveled area around house with big yard to play. At clients home depends on environment there. Would prefer no off leash unless securely fenced area.
