“Vicki's Doggy day care was perfect! This was our first experience through Rover and we are super happy! Vicki sent updates and pictures, which our kids loved! She was super personable and kind! She even let my 2 younger kiddos play with her pups when we got back to pick up our dog! He didnt even want to come with us, he wanted to stay. Thank you so much!”

“Daniel did a truly amazing job. We’re so thankful for his quick replies to our last minute request. He kept us updated and our boy had an amazing time from start to finish and slept hard that night.”

About: HI, my name is Lenore, - My love for animals began when I was very young... - A few years ago, my Sheltie, Spencer... at 10 wk old, was already highly intelligent, and so full of love. In 3 days time, was house trained, and enrolled in Puppy Pre-School at a local PETSMART. He was such a quick learner, sitting and staying in no time! - Years later, my youngest Son and I, owned registered AKC, Siberian Huskies, and raised and sold 4 litters of puppies. Such fun. - a few other animals I've cared for; dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, bearded dragons, fish, eels, a chinchilla, pet snakes....but said no to a tarantula! Just can't do that one!! - thank you ahead of time for your consideration, you will NOT regret putting your trust in me. - Calm, and easy going are my characteristics, as i have plenty of time, and a big heart, to devote to caring for your companion, friend and family member!! Also being a loving & giving person, my priority would be, to fully enjoy caring for your dog, or pet... fulfilling a desire in me to again have a dog in the house, to care for, to spend time with, talk to, & treat 'royally' (spoil) :)) enjoying every second of the blessing. I will take only one dog at a time unless you have two, who know each other, and get along. That way, I can & will devote lots of extra TLC for your best friend...and will definitely treat them as if they were my own, with utmost of value and importance, how they deserve! Thank You lenore My availability for Your Dearest Companion is 24/7. They will have my undevided loving attention. I truly care and will treat them as my own! My home and care provided by myself, will always be a safe and stress-free environment, to help Your Honeys feel 100% comfortable! 🌟💞 My Promise

More than anything else, she loves spending time with her dogs, hiking, exploring, and finding and creating beautiful things. I work from home so am able to dedicate quite a bit of time to caring for your pet! Dogs coming in for grooming and dogs here for boarding/daycare are kept separate to prevent any issues. My personal dogs are integrated as needed with the ability to separate them for reactive or potentially aggressive or fearful visitors. Dogs are confined in crates or kennel runs for safety when I am not home or am unable to watch and monitor them. My yard is fully fenced with no gaps or holes. Flight risk dogs will be leash walked. Otherwise dogs will be out in my house integrated with my own pack as appropriate!
“This was Hollis’ first time here for day care and we will definitely be back! Love that there’s a fenced in yard for her to play with other dogs. Madison and her family are very sweet and we’re glad we found them in the area”

“Kelli was an excellent communicator and took great care of our Charlie boy. I received picture updates of Charlie during his stay, which always helps us feel (and see) that he’s in great hands. This was our first time using Kelli’s services and both my husband and I were beyond impressed with the ease and comfort of Kelli’s friendliness and experience. Kelli’s home environment is absolutely perfect for the care she provides. We’ll definitely be repeat customers moving forward!”

About: My experience comes from my own dogs I've had over my 46 years. I've had a dog my whole life, except for about 2 years after one dog passed before I got my first basset hound in 2010. My most recent dogs were 2 basset hounds. One was a rescue, Elmer, and one I had from 8 weeks old, Mel. They've both since passed of old age. Elmer passed in 2024, he was nearly 13 and Mel this year, he was 15. I miss them terribly, both my boys but my Mel the most, he was my baby. But because my husband and I decided we needed a break from having a pet full-time, I thought providing pet care for others would give me the best of both worlds. Being able to help others take care of their pets without worry, but also for me to get some fur baby love without having a pet full-time. So, you can rest assured that with me, your fur baby will be taken care of with lots of love! I am working part-time from home and no longer have a pet in the home, so my schedule allows me to take time for pet care during the week. I have a fenced-in backyard that is accessed from a deck that is accessed from a slider in our dining room. And because there are no pets in the home currently, your fur baby would get 100% of my attention.
About: As of now, I am booked for dog walking and drop in services and I am only available for dog boarding at my house. Thank you for understanding! Also, I am currently caring for female dogs. I will also care for males under 20 pounds. I have cared for fish, birds, reptiles, hamsters, bunnies, small dogs, medium dogs, and large dogs. I grew up having numerous pets in my home. Also, I have cared for family members pets many times while they are away from home. I homeschool my kids therefore I have extra help with snuggling and loving your dog! My children love animals! They are crew members at the Critter Barn in Zeeland. They have learned how to care for numerous types of animals. They are responsible and very helpful. Since I homeschool my kids we are home often. My kids do have outside activities throughout the day but our schedule does allow for us to care for dogs during the day. I have a fenced in backyard and a energetic medium sized (Border Collie mix breed) dog to play with your dog. I also have doggie gates to separate dogs when downtime is needed.
“Our dog, Finn, came home happy and tired. He had a full day meeting the farm animals and all the children. He also enjoyed making new friends with the other dogs. Reyna was very accommodating and sent lots of pictures throughout the day.”

“Britny was great with my puppy. It was my first time ever trying Rover or even having a dog sitter in general but I’m glad I did. Britny was flexible with my schedule and was fast with responses. She kept me updated by sending pictures and videos of my pup while I was out. I would definitely recommend her watching your dog for all your dog sitting needs! :)”

“I highly recommend Emily’s dog sitting services. I’d had a rough week with work and I hadn’t been able to give my fur baby the attention that he needed and he was driving me crazy ? I contacted Emily last-minute to see if she could watch my dog. She was super accommodating and one of the most genuinely kind humans I’ve ever met (her whole family was amazing and just like her, I met them during pickup!). You will feel completely at ease the minute you meet Emily. My pup had the best afternoon of his life and I can’t thank Emily enough for taking action to make sure my dog was cared for ??”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
