Throughout my lifetime, I've been surrounded by many different animals: dogs, cats, birds and even a chinchilla. After I moved to L.A., I started working for Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital. I started as a receptionist at the front desk and overtime started training as a vet tech. During that time, I also started pet sitting, which turned into a full time career till this day. I've volunteered for the Bill Foundation Rescue and have opened my home to many rescue dogs. About: I've been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. Growing up my sister and a I would take in any animal we could find and raise them. From snakes to hedgehogs from ducks to goats. I spent my whole childhood learning to care for animals in all stages of life. I have experience caring for puppies as well as elderly dogs. I have raised/cared for multiple dogs that weighed over 100lbs including Pit-bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepards, Great Danes, etc. I am experienced at administering medicine (either pills, lotions or shots) to dogs and cats. I have done potty training, leash training and even elevator/stair exposure therapy for multiple dogs. I am able to carry up to 100lbs and have had to carry dogs with arthritis or injured paws. My childhood cat had stomach issues and later in life developed cancer. In all stages of her life, I gave her medicine (pills, topicals and shots) so I am well seasoned in care for cats as well. I have never met and animal that I didn't love and who didn't love me by the time I left. When pet sitting I make sure your pets are well exercised and smothered in love. I currently work from home 5 days a week and my schedule is highly flexible. I go for a walk every morning shortly after I wake up, so your puppy would be a welcome companion. When petsitting your pets are my priority, and I will always orient my life around them. If I am out of the house, it is rarely longer then 4 hours. If your pup loves to go hiking or on small adventures then I am happy to make sure they get their fill. I live next to a huge park, that is friendly for dogs on and off leash, and I've seen people walk cats there too. I live alone in a 1 bedroom apartment, but it's quite roomy with plenty of natural light and space to play with your pet. If your pet likes to sleep in the bed, they will be more then welcome to in my home. When I am staying at a client's home I go above and beyond. “I have two greyhounds, which you need to be extra careful with because they can get loose and easily get hit by cars. I’m very picky about who I leave them with. Renee is awesome! She follows instructions to a tee so they know to expect the same rules, safety measures, food, and treats as home. When one is injured (greyhounds get cuts and scrapes a few times a year), I don’t have to worry because Renee knows what she’s doing. They’re always excited to see her, and she sends me pictures every time they’re with her. Her pictures are even better than mine! I can’t imagine leaving them with anyone else.”
