“Kalley was amazing!! I needed a new sitter as my previous sitter stopped doing in-home boarding, and Kalley was phenomenal. She was very attentive and kept me updated daily on how Marley was doing via text and pictures. I knew he was extremely comfortable in her home which really put me at ease. Thank you Kalley to you and your family for taking such good care of Marley!”

“Yzabella is one of the best dog sitters we have ever hired. She is very dedicated to the pets and shows them love. We can tell because our dog return back home after nearly 2 weeks very happy. While we were away, Yzabella has been staying in frequent communication with us, sending pictures and we can really tell that she show pets a lot of attention. She is very caring and we will definitely be back to her and hire her for dog sitting again when we need to go on another trip where we can not take our dog with us. Great job, really thankful for everything she did. 5/5 definitely! Thank you really so much from bottom of our hearts, Yzabella! See you again soon!”

“I left my furbaby with Walter during my thanksgiving break during covid and i couldnt be happier. During meet and greet all precautions were taken while getting all details on my baby behavior and preferences as well as during drop off and pick up. My pup seemed extremely happy and loved during her whole stay. I received daily updates and pictures about activities. I would totally leave my baby with him again and totally recommend him!!”

“This lady is AMAZING! last minute medical situation and with a new puppy. She was so welcoming and so nice. Great communication amazing updates and seriously she could be a pro dog photographer. Just absolutely no. 1 best person on Rover. Anyone in the area needing someone to care for your pups have to give her a shout!”

“Heather was great! Kept me informed on how my dog Cody was doing and sent pics of him with her dogs. Cody seemed to love her Lab. Lots of room to run in her fenced in back yard. Will definitely use her again!”

About: I love dogs and can't wait to take care of your furry friend! I have a large home, plenty of room for your dog to stretch out. I have a yellow lab/golden retriever mix who is very friendly. I have a fenced yard (about half an acre) and another 9 acres of unfenced area. I work from home during the week, so will have plenty of time for walks, play-time, etc. I am good with all ages/sizes. I will ensure your dog is comfortable and safe, and has plenty of attention! I work from home so am always around to care for your pets! Will have plenty of potty breaks and play time. If I have to step out I can crate your pet or not, whichever you prefer. I have a fenced in yard I work from home so am always around to care for your pets! “Yogi enjoyed his stay. I like that there are options. Dogs can stay in the house. But if they are more comfortable outside, she has a deck with access to a fenced in grass area. Good communication. No problems.”

“Linda is a wonderful lady and I would 100% book a stay for Lucy with her again! She sent me updates throughout Lucy's visit and was very gentle and sweet with my timid girl. I could tell that Lucy had warmed up to her when I picked her up and she rubbed on Linda and licked her hands. Lucy tends to not want to eat if she stays somewhere without me and Linda made sure she figured out how to get her to do so. Lucy got plenty of belly rubs and lots of love during her stay! Thank you, Linda, for taking such great care of my little girl!”

“Desirae was very responsive and accommodating. She sent daily messages and pictures of our dog. We appreciate Desirae’s support and excellent service. We’ll definitely book her again.”

“This was the most relaxing way to have my baby girl taken care of. I showed up, got a whole tour and introduction to the home, played with the animals during the introduction, and then received as many updated as I could ask for all weekend long. My girl went for walks, played with the other dogs, and took naps with the whole family as if she belonged there. She was treated like family and came home happy, healthy, and stress free. Like a visit with friends! I look forward to seeing Kristi and family every time I need to be away from home. Thank you and your family so much for taking such good care of my girl. ❤️”

“I had to leave on a business and Lisette was able to look after my cat Ogden. Communication was quick and simple, and Lisette was very accommodating . I have no problem recommending this sitter.”

“Lauren, impressively on short notice, took my pup in for boarding and was remarkable with his care! I highly encourage anyone seeking pet assistance to consider Lauren for services & I plan to seek her services the next time my pup needs boarding.”

“Whitney was incredible good with my little one. She took care of him very well when I was sick. And Tokyo had a great time with her dog Feather. She sent me lots of pictures and lmk all the time of how was my dog, and I appreciate that very much. Thank you Whitney!!!”

“Katherine did a great job with our shy dog. Katherine gave Ginger plenty of space and she gradually introduced Ginger to the rest of the dogs to create a smooth transition. I’m very pleased to have found Katherine and I’ll be calling on Katherine again when the need arises.”

“Lori and her fiancée are awesome! She had a lot of patience in answering my numerous questions prior to boarding our Sheepadoodle puppy. We really appreciate her and look forward to boarding again in the future.”

“Gabby took great care of my Bonnie girl while we were away on vacation. She asked good questions during our meet and greet. I am so glad that she was willing to have Bonnie as the only dog in the house for the majority of the 2 weeks we were away. Bonnie doesn't get along with many other dogs, so when her stay overlapped with another dog that was there for a couple days before her, Gabby immediately let us know and was prepared to keep them separated. Gabby gave us frequent updates and pictures that helped reassure us that she was doing well. All of the instructions I left for her feeding were followed exactly as well. I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing that Bonnie was being taken care of as if I were there myself.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in VA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
