We were a bit apprehensive to leave our fur babies with anyone but we were in a bit of a bind ( holidays). We had never used Rover and had just moved to Va from Nevada. Like who would be around them, how often they would be let out to go potty, etc… after a few text and a few phone calls we felt she would be a perfect fit for our pups! Since I have multiple days off a week I am able to work my schedule around the needs of your pets (babies!). I currently have three dogs, although, I have also owned and loved rabbits, hamsters, cats, ferrets, and fish. I am open to caring for any animal (expect spiders, sorry!!!) that you have. I can administer any medications needed. I currently have a fully blind hound dog with glaucoma that is also a diabetic requiring insulin injections along with oral medication and eye drops. Our beloved Bullmastiff, whom passed away in 2024 was epileptic and required 12 pills a day along with as needed rectal seizure meds so I am positive I can care for your special needs animals with just as much love and care when you are away. I have two elementary school aged children who can also assist with helping with your pets needs (if applicable & okay with owners) with my assistance to help learn responsibility, routines, a good work ethic, and be able to earn their own money and learn the hard work and value of a dollar. My kids have experience with feeding, walking, medication administration, and lots of play and snuggles. :) Please reach out if you have any questions! About: Dogs have always been part of our life and are treated as a member of the family. When in our house the dogs are allowed on furniture and we will treat them as they were our dog. We welcome calls to check up on your animal while they are staying with us. We will give them plenty of attention and someone will be around in the house to make sure they are doing well. “Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. About: My dog Freckles and I would love to welcome other pups in our home, which features an open basement for dog play, a gated garage for outdoor lounging (see photos), and a small nearby park for dog walks. I work remotely from home during the week with a flexible schedule for taking the pups outside as needed. Morning and evening walks with occasional trips to the dog park. Treats throughout the day and meals as needed. Plenty of play and pets in between. I have a friendly dog named Freckles who loves to play with other dogs of all types and sizes. I am currently a canine coach. At the moment i currently work at strategic paws boarding on saturday, sunday- 10am~6:30pm. on wednesday, thursday-3:30pm to 6:30 pm. About: What sets me apart is my personal experience with dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and life stages. I’ve raised and cared for five dogs throughout my life, including Labs, Golden Retrievers, Chihuahuas, and German Shepherds, so I understand the very different needs of small, medium, and large breeds. I trained my own puppy from 8 weeks old, teaching her a wide range of tricks and good behaviors, which gave me a lot of patience and training skills.
