“Kaitlyn has been checking in on my dogs for a little over a year, and I couldn’t be happier with her service! Great communication, dogs love her, and always on time. Definitely book with her if you’re wanting a reliable and trustworthy person with your pups!”

“Mila had excellent communication and made us feel very confident about the care for our cats. She made sure to spend time with our social cat and gave us updates every time she went to visit. I would highly recommend her.”

“Sandra was incredible and I didn’t have any worries at all leaving Aspen and Hope in her good care. Flexible, kind and clearly loves animals. I would highly recommend her for any pet care needs you have!”

“Chuck and Sharon are the Best of the Best Pet Sitters. We could relax and enjoy our vacation knowing our Beetle and Jeffy would have top notch care, and they did. We loved the daily updates. THANK YOU CHUCK and SHARON Gary & Carolyn Johnson”

“Krystina was awesome! Booked her last minute, met up right away to walk through our routine and then scheduled for a couple drops ins a day because I had an elderly mom staying who can’t handle the dogs on her own. She sent lots of pictures, lots of play time and booty scratches. They looked so happy! She was so kind to help me with a few minor unrelated pet things here and there on some days when she was at the house. I will definitely book her again and recommend her to anyone I know!”

“Shelby was amazing with my Newfoundland puppy! She takes such good care of him and I feel like I don’t have to worry at all when I am away! She really is great! Thanks Shelby!!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life and have experience with pets of all sizes and personalities. I currently care for my black Lab, Lexi, and have previous experience working at a pet store, where I helped care for animals and learned the importance of patience, safety, and attention to detail. As a Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology Alumni at Colorado State University, I’m passionate about animal care and understand how important it is to make pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, cuddles, or just a calm companion, I’ll care for them like they’re my own! I recently graduated from Colorado State University and now have a very flexible schedule, allowing me to be highly available for pet care. Whether your pet needs daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, or extra attention, I’m happy to work around their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for. I’m dependable, responsive, and committed to giving your pets lots of love, playtime, and attention while you’re away! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I understand every pet has different needs and routines, so I take the time to learn what makes them feel comfortable and cared for. Whether in your home or out on walks, I’ll provide patient, attentive care and treat your pet like family. I’m reliable, respectful of your space, and always happy to send regular photo updates for peace of mind.
“This was my first experience using Rover, and Emily was the best! She was very communicative, send updates and pictures, and helped ease any fear or anxiety surrounding leaving my little kitties alone. 10000/10 stars for Emily!!”

About: I’ve had pets my entire life and grew up taking care of both dogs and cats, so I’m very comfortable with a wide range of needs and personalities. I have experience with feeding, walking, and making sure pets feel safe, happy, and cared for. I’m patient, reliable, and pay close attention to each pet’s routine and behavior. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to care for their pets, and I always treat every animal like they’re my own. Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine since I have two dogs and a cat of my own. I’m used to regular feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and making sure pets get attention throughout the day. Because of this, I’m very flexible and can easily fit in check-ins, walks, or extended care depending on your pet’s needs. I’m consistent, reliable, and make sure every pet gets the time and care they deserve. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet. With two friendly dogs and a cat at home, I’m experienced in managing different personalities and making sure everyone feels comfortable. I always prioritize safety, whether that means supervised interactions, keeping pets on their normal routine, or separating animals if needed. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow all instructions closely to make sure your pet feels secure and cared for while you’re away.
“Jason is incredible - can I leave six stars??? From his pre-visit to the actual day-of visits he showed a level of care and affection for my blind senior dog Rocky that is unmatched. His updates were timely and informative. Can't wait to have him visit again!”

“Ace and Rosco loved having Michelle visit them daily for a whole week!! Thank you Michelle for putting my mind at ease while I was out of town and for being super easy to communicate with, and having a very trustworthy attitude (which is the most important to me!). We will absolutely book Michelle again!”

About: Nice to meet you, I'm Kat! I have been working in the pet industry since early 2019 - beginning as a kennel attendant, evolving into a professional dog trainer in two prominent KC training facilities, and now running my own small business in Overland Park. I am thoroughly versed in canine care and communication, and use my expertise to help every dog that stays with me have a comfortable and positive experience. Not only that, but I am also very knowledgeable in canine enrichment and stimulation. Have a high-energy, high-needs breed? They'll end their days with me happy and tired. A senior dog that has special needs and benefits from therapeutic stretches? Say no more. Puppies are absolutely welcome as well, and will have many opportunities to practice socialization, building confidence, and manners. My experience also means that I am able to care for dogs with behavioural issues and special health needs. I know it can be difficult to find care for dogs with "quirks," and I hope to make that search a little easier. Send me a message and we can chat about your dog and if I would be a good fit. I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! The pets I work with are my priority! I am able to build my schedule around the dogs that stay in my home. Before you book, we will have a chat about your pets' needs, and I can make sure to set up my schedule in a way that ensures that they will always get the attention they need and the love they deserve. 🐾IN MY HOME (boarding):🐾 (See "IN YOUR HOME" section below for housesitting. Boarding is dogs only. If you have other kinds of pets, please choose housesitting. Thank you!) My house is pretty well "dog-proofed" and oriented in a way that I am able to keep a close eye on pets from just about anywhere! So your pup gets to be the king of the castle, with lots of room inside & outside to run and play. Not to mention the mountain of toys.... When I cannot monitor them, they'll get to chill in a cozy crate or pen, with fresh water always available and a chew toy, puzzle, or snack to keep them entertained. For walks and other adventures, I will always keep your dog leashed and close to me. I love to take dogs out on excursions to parks, trails, and other such places! Of course, I will always check with you first to make sure that we don't go somewhere your dog doesn't enjoy. I have three adult dogs (all ~45lbs) and a cat in my home. The cat is dog-friendly, but also is able to be kept entirely separate from your dog if needed. My dogs are all 100% dog-friendly, have good play manners, and are also able to be neutral around/ignore other dogs when told. They are very patient with young puppies as well! And if your pup isn't one for new friends, don't worry - they can be kept totally separate on request, and your dog will still get plenty of one-on-one playtime & snuggles with me. It is 100% up to you if your pup has any interaction with other dogs (or the cat). Full separation is possible, but if you'd like your dog to make some furry friends, I am happy to safely facilitate that! All interactions between your dog and other pets will be of limited time and monitored - the dogs will never be alone together. For safety and management reasons, I cannot accept boarding bookings for dogs that are not able to be comfortable in a crate (or pen, for small dogs only). Have other questions or concerns? Send me a message and let's chat about it! Updates will be sent daily, as well as pictures and videos. I look forward to meeting your furry friends. 🐾IN YOUR HOME (housesitting):🐾 Dogs, cats, and exotic pets 👍 (See "IN MY HOME section above for boarding.) Your house, your rules! Before the booking, you & I will have a detailed conversation about your pets' schedule, rules, needs, and preferences. I am happy to follow all of that to a T! My job is to keep your pets happy and safe while you are away. With 7 years of pet care experience, I am confident in caring for all of their needs. This includes pets with behavioral concerns and special needs! For walks and other adventures, I will always keep your dog leashed and close to me. I love to take dogs out on excursions to parks, trails, and other such places, but I will always check with you first to make sure that we don't go somewhere your dog doesn't enjoy. Updates will be sent daily, as well as pictures and videos. I look forward to meeting your furry friends. (Scaled or feathered friends welcome, too!)
“We have and will continue to use Aubrey as long as she’s available. She takes such great care of our Maverick while we’re away. She communicates often and is easy/fantastic to work with! Thank you!!”

“Rachel dropped in on our two doggos, Jack & Hazel, over a long weekend while we were out of town. They instantly clicked with her and felt comfy being themselves with Rachel. We will definitely be booking with her going forward for future travels!”

“Monica did an excellent job taking care of my 11 year old dog, Macie. Monica dropped in to walk and feed Macie as well as just spend time with her. I have a high comfort level with Monica and feel she took extra steps to take care of my baby. Will definitely use her again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,239 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Stilwell. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stilwell. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
