About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with nearly 10 years of experience caring for dogs. I’ve owned a Chihuahua, Beagle, and currently a dog mom to a 5 year old pitbull! So I’m comfortable with all sizes, energy levels, and personalities. I’ve also dog sat for friends and family, providing dependable, loving care every time. I am available Saturday-Tuesday full time. I am currently working Wednesday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, With a small window of availability for short 30min walk on my lunches between 12pm-12:30pm. About: Some people innately connect with animals. Maybe this cannot be taught or learned. Even those animals who "don't like anyone" like me. It's a gift. Perhaps they can tell I'm a gentle giant and it makes them feel safe and protected. Whether cat or dog or some other creatures, I will lavish affection and attention on them (if they're into that). Or simply let them call the shots until they're ready to warm up a bit more. As a large, fit dude, I can manage even the strongest dogs, but I'm nimble and delicate with the smaller ones and cats. It comes naturally, and your pets will sense it. Summertime affords more flexibility for me as a teacher. I do have another PT gig currently on Tuesdays & Thursdays in the afternoons. But I'm mostly available the other 5 days for now, and am willing to spend time with your pets before and after shifts on days I work. For many years, I've cared for dozens of friends' pets. I got into housesitting several months ago and love getting to spend focused time and attention on animals while their people are away. While fostering dogs, I worked on light training - improving walking manners, comfort with strangers, and basic commands. I cared for my dogs for a few weeks to several months until they were adopted and loved getting updates from their new families about their progress. I make time for your animals as they need it! I work part time, which allows plenty of time for walks, playing fetch, cuddle sessions, and on-time meals. If temperament allows, I’ll take your pup with me to dog-friendly spots in town and along longer walking paths and trails. I'm new to California and settling in the area. I'm excited to explore different neighborhoods, meet cool people, and spend time with your furry friends. If I’m staying in your home, I’m in your best friend’s space. Whatever they’re used to, is what they’ll get, whether that’s permission (or not) to get on furniture, sleep with me in bed, and set our walking schedule.
