“Kathryn was a WONDERFUL pet sitter for our little English bulldog, Daisy. She kept in touch with us and sent updates. We could tell Daisy really enjoyed her stay! Thank you, Kathryn!!!”

“Joe was an excellent care taker for my fur babies. One had to be given medication and kept calm. He did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Joe as a choice of sitters.”

“Our pup was so well taken care of with Deb! This is the first time we have left her with anyone and she seemed so happy while we were gone. We got updates and a picture every day. We will definitely book with Deb in the future!”

“Sophia was amazing! She was very flexible about drop off and a last-minute booking with only a few days notice. She sent daily pictures and our pup was loved to pieces and had very attentive care. We have used several Rover sitters with positive experiences and Sophia will definitely be our new go-to!!”

“Erin took such great care of Honey. Friendly family. Accepting and fun furries of her own that might just turn into best 4-legged friends. We will definitely be repeat customers. Thank you Erin!”

“Hillary was so good to me and my boys!! She eased my fears of leaving the boys and was in constant communication!! Will recommend her to anyone who asks!!!! The boys loved her!”

“We can’t say enough good things about Tiffanie! From the moment we met her, it was clear how knowledgeable and responsible she is — and most importantly, how much she genuinely loves dogs. She treated our pups like they were her own, and that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. One of the absolute highlights was how many adorable photos she sent us — it truly made our day every time a new one came in. You can tell she goes the extra mile not just in caring for the dogs, but also in making sure you feel connected to them while you're apart. We’re so grateful to have found Tiffanie. She’s everything you could hope for in a sitter: professional, kind, thoughtful, and truly passionate about animals. We would absolutely trust her again in a heartbeat!”

About: First of all, my name is Toni. Rover will only accept legally changed names, and I haven’t gotten there yet. But I’m Toni M. and I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness and autism. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. I’ve spent significant time with dogs with anxiety issues as well. I tend to connect with dogs who need a little extra love the most anyway. I do have a job but I’m available for boarding if pet is crate trained. When a pet stays with me we have a routine. Coffee (for me), breakfast, walk. And in the evenings we eat, play, have downtime. I guarantee an hour of exercise a day for your pet as well. My yard is fenced so no chance of escape. I like to play outside with the animals twice a day. Water bowel is always filled and animals are always welcome on my furniture. They’re free to make themselves at home.
“Danielle was so easy to work with and accommodating for my dog's needs on her stay. She went the extra mile! She was gentle and very attentive with my dog. I was so happy with how the weekend worked out. Count on me to book a repeat stay!”

About: I have taken care of our elderly farm dogs for 2 years and a rambunctious new pup this year who has lots of energy! I have also helped my mom take care of her cats since I was 18. I am currently between jobs so this is perfect . I’m a very active person, I love walking and grounding in nature. It would be great to have some company on these walks! I have a fenced in back yard on a 3 acre land. I have a young dog named Charlie who is our farm dog, he is an excited rambunctious pup that helps protect our chickens, he can be crated if needed.
“Jo is amazing!! She took both Hadley and CeeCee for the long weekend and they were very well taken care of. CeeCee is a little old lady who is very fearful and needy and she looked happy, well fed, well rested and loved in all of the pictures Jo sent! Hadley absolutely loves Jo and Cricket and he also came home happy!”

“Amy did an amazing job taking care of our Luna! She did a great job communicating updates with plenty of pictures and videos. Luna got to go on hikes and became best friends with Amy’s sweet dog, Sylvie too! Amy had great attention to detail- Luna is a poodle so we always pack a brush in case it’s needed, but have no specific expectations with it, since it’s definitely labor of love! Amy is the first Rover sitter to actually brush her! We would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking to board their pup!”

“Brandy is amazing! Valley always enjoys herself when she’s over there. Brandy updates constantly and sends photos to you with the updates. She was also very helpful with letting me pick my dog up later than I expected to be in town!”

“We needed a dog sitter last minute and Cory was able to accommodate and watch our dog Otto for the entire weekend we needed. He was very communicative and sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the weekend. Our dog was very happy and was well cared for the entire time. I would highly recommend using Cory and will definitely be reaching out to him again next time I am in the area.”

“Hazzar boarded our cavapoo for 1 week and went above and beyond our expectations. When we came to pick our dog, we could tell she was happy and well-cared for. Communication with Hazzar was easy and quick. She promptly replied to our messages and sent pictures of our dog throughout the week. I would recommend Hazzar to anyone looking for a caring a loving pet sitter.”

“Margaret was wonderful! She took great care of my senior girl and gave her the love and attention she needed while I was away. She was easy to communicate with and provided pictures. I’d definitely book with Margaret again the next time I’m in the area!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Staunton
This was the first time using Gregory and we could not be more pleased. We were in the middle of a move and didn't plan our two dogs needs well and Gregory was very accommodating when we had to drop of more of Danny's medicine and purchase extra food when he ran out. The dogs came back tired but seemed quite happy being there. We would definitely use Gregory again.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
