About: My approach matches the energy of the animal and meets them on a level they’re ready for. I have specifically spent most of my time taking care of and learning more about cats. I’ve had animals my entire life, and have petsat for several years now! Safety and trust with your animal is my primary concern. Animals are integral to my life and always have been. I wake up and go to bed with my cat, and the dogs fits into my every day. Whether I’m physically there or thinking of them, their health and happiness means the most to me. Currently, my schedule is very open, especially during the weekdays! I listen to what they’re telling me. I focus on safety, patience, and trust in building a relationship, and I’m happy to start that at whatever distance or level they want to.

About: Hello! My name is Hailey, and I am looking forward to serving you and your fuzzy family members! I am a lifelong pet lover, growing up with at least one dog in my family home at all times. I have experience dog sitting (both in-home and drop-in) over a number of years. I have cared for many breeds ranging from French bulldogs to golden retrievers to mutts. I have experience caring for dogs of varying temperaments and training levels, as well as puppies, aging dogs, and dogs with chronic illnesses. I am patient and attuned to the needs of every dog I interact with ensuring that I respect their boundaries and make them as comfortable as possible. Lastly, I will shower them in attention and love! I am currently working part-time on a very flexible schedule, enabling me to complete drop-in visits throughout the day. I am available throughout the week, including on weekends. I have had dogs that both need to be leashed and that are able to be let outside off of a leash. I am able to crate pets if needed. I ensure that water is available at all times and that food is provided per the owners designated feeding schedule. Most importantly, I am willing and able to provide care as the owner would for their own pet.

“Ripley underwent some big life changes recently. right after i started up a new job with a long commute, she lost her best (dog) buddy, who she was used to spending her days with. all of this meant Ripley was going to be spending 12+ hour days all alone. But then we met Dana, our Rover dog-walker! Now Ripley gets 30-minute adventures 2-3x a week, complete with photo updates and little synopsis of what went down on the walk. Getting the Rover notification, “Ripley’s been picked up for her walk!” is the highlight of my day. She’s in amazing hands, and I’m one grateful, teary-eyed dog mom. This looks and sounds like a Rover ad, but i’m not getting paid for it. I do highly highly recommend Dana - she is in Staunton. If you’re thinking, “my dog isn’t easy- she can’t be walked by just anyone” - that is exactly what i thought. Dana brings her husband on walks, and he can help manage the strength of a giant breed, (Ripley weighs over 100lbs) Also, if you think that your dog is too skittish to be walked by anyone other than you, I thought the same thing. Dana and her husband weren’t afraid of Ripley’s initial reaction to them. They stuck around for about an hour to wait for her to calm down and they gained her trust. They even introduced Ripley to their kids.”

About: I have done pet sitting for many years, I have worked with multiple different types of animals many times. I love animals, can handle stressful situations, and know how to make responsable decisions regarding your home and beloved animals. I also will communicate effectively and be timely in my care of your pet. I work a job that has a flexible schedule, I do not have any prior commitments on weekends and any pet sitting jobs I book will become top priority. Pets should be treated with just as much respect as any person. Introducing yourself, acting calm and kindly, and also reading body cues and signs to make sure they remain comfortable at all times.

About: I've always loved animals, from my first guinea pig at age 11 I was hooked! I have dog and cat sat in my neighborhood, and made friends with as many pets as I could. I'm not afraid to have fun with any dog big or small, and I'm more than open to bathing and grooming as well. I am also experienced in giving medication to pets who need it, mostly with pills but I've also learned how to do on skin treatment as well. I have taken care of everything ranging from snails and fish to birds and reptiles. I'm very passionate about giving all animals the affection and playtime they deserve. I would love to give your pets love and attention while you are away! I am currently a stay at home mom, so I will be able to stop by any time, and take care of anything your pets need! I have experience keeping pets separate when need be as well as encouraging socializing! Whatever your needs are I can provide plenty of play and love!

About: As a child, my family had 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a parakeet. Throughout the years of my childhood, the amount of dogs and cats would go up and down with natural fluctuation from age. During middle school, my family began adding horses to the mix of the family. From middle school into high school, I participated weekly in rodeo competitions with my family and friends. When I was in high school, the parakeet passed from old age. The summer before my freshman year in high school we started acquiring more animals than just the horses we rode, and the pets we took care of. I actively worked with my older sister as she showed sheep, rabbits, and chickens in high school FFA. Throughout my higher education experience I have continued to own cats, dogs, rodents, reptiles, and horses. I have lived with and befriended people who own a variety of reptiles such as pythons, scorpions, lizards, and others. The farm has less types of animals occupying now due to natural causes, but I still maintain a strong love for all spirits out in the pasture and home. I have worked many years at various animal focused businesses such as Tractor Supply and PetCo where I have assisted people with understanding their animal(s) needs and taking care of a multitude of different animals, too. I have pretty flexible availability to administer animal care throughout the week. Easily available between 8AM - 8PM. Can provide care outside of those hours, but within reason and will gladly work with clients and animals as needed. I love to spend time with animals in my care. I am not a drop in and drop out person. I will spend at least the amount of time you request, if not more, with your pet(s) to provide attention, love, exercise, and meet their needs. I am an active participant during outside potty/play time and prefer to follow all rules already in place by family. You will receive a detailed note of all that occurs as well as multiple photos of your animal throughout my stay, unless otherwise specified by yourself.

About: I've grown up with animals my entire life beginning with Mr. Blue the Himalayan Cat and Kahlua the Black Lab and all of the animals I've loved, worked with, and now become mama to in my adult life. I feel most at ease when I am around animals and consider it an honor to have the opportunity to love them as my own. Regardless of whether it’s a quick drop in or a longer stint. I can most often be found at home. Between kids, fur babies (both mine and others’) I stay pretty busy. I have a Golden Retriever who just turned 7 (though you’d never know he wasn’t still a pup) to play with and keep your baby company. There's space in my home to separate if anyone needs a break and I can easily crate if needed or desired. *Crating is for safety and comfort only, I do not use crating as as discipline. I work from home so there is plenty of room in my schedule for playtime, walks, pet-friendly outings and adventures, cuddles, feeds and/or any other specialized care your friend might require. I have an unfenced yard so any outside play will be leashed or in an enclosure. For additional safety, I keep a few dog crates on hand. They are available for pups that are crate trained, in case I need to separate, or even personal preference! Dogs are den animals so when used correctly, some of them (like ours!) love having a cozy space to relax. *Please note, I never use crates as “punishment” in our home, nor do I believe in or practice discipline of animals. I care for and love every animal the way I’d want my sweet boy loved and cared for.

About: My family has had pets all my life, and I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 13. I have experience with pets with special health needs as well as those with busy grooming schedules. I adore both cats and dogs and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m a grad student from Virginia with a love for animals! Most of my classes finish in the afternoon, so I have plenty of time for your fur babies! I am confident and comfortable with both dogs and cats, and am more than happy to follow any special instructions you need me to. I can easily crate your pets as well give them medicine and stick to feeding schedules. I also love to spend time with your pets outside by going on walks and playing in the yard.

About: With over 50 years of pet ownership and caretaking experience as a foster through Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond, I would treat your furry friends as my own. I’ve had both dogs and cats and am comfortable administering medications and working with pets of all ages. As a retiree with no pets of my own at the moment, it’d be a great joy to take care of yours. I’m fully retired so I have plenty of time available to devote to the care and well-being of your pets. I’m happy to do scheduled drop-in visits during the day or overnights if needed throughout Augusta County. As a former foster parent, I have worked with dogs of varying comfort levels and special needs. I would take care of your pets with the same level of care and support as my own. I’m just as happy to go on a nice walk as I am to be a couch potato - whatever your pet needs, I’m here for them.

About: I’ve had pets ever since I was younger. Ranging from cats, dogs, Guinea pigs, and turtles. During these years I’ve learned to effectively walk, feed, bathe, and give so much love to pets. I’ve cared for Neighbor and Family members whenever they plan to be away. I currently have 2 elderly dogs I’ve had since childhood. I am equipped with caring for pets of any age. I am currently working part-times but I still have plenty of time to play with your pets! I’m mostly available on weekends after 12pm, and on weekdays after 3 pm. At my home I have an open yard with plenty of room for pets to play. Inside my home there is also plenty of space for pets to relax, play, eat and nap. I am very adaptable and will follow clients house rules and provide excellent care for your pets.
