About: First of all, my name is Toni. Rover will only accept legally changed names, and I haven’t gotten there yet. But I’m Toni M. and I started getting involved with pet care because of my mental illness and autism. The stress of life was lowering my ability to function and every job I tried seemed to make it all worse. Enter: Dogs. I decided if I was going to make it I needed to be doing something that gave instead of took from me. Animals have helped bring me back to life in the dark. I’ve worked with puppies and older dogs. I’ve spent significant time with dogs with anxiety issues as well. I tend to connect with dogs who need a little extra love the most anyway. If at all possible I prefer boarding as transitions can be a challenge but I’m usually up for anything the pet needs to feel safe and secure and do a lot of house sitting, too and am more than willing too. I try to keep all homes clean and tidy for the owner’s return. My own home is small, only two usable rooms, but has a large wooded yard and perfect spots for beautiful walks, or throwing a ball and playing fetch in our secluded field if the dog is not an eloper. My dog loved living in this home before he passed as it is quiet and peaceful, and playing ball was his favorite thing in the world. Hit me up if you need some help, as I’m quite passionate about this work and want to be of service. :) ✨ When a pet stays with me we have a routine. Coffee (for me), breakfast, walk. And in the evenings we eat, play, have downtime. I guarantee an hour of exercise a day for your pet as well. I always appreciate a crate just in case but that doesn’t mean I’ll use it. My home is small so if your dog is a big chewer it might not be the perfect fit for boarding unless a crate is available. I’m home almost all day and can monitor animals closely and give plenty of love. I like to play outside with the animals twice a day. Water bowel is always filled and animals are always welcome on my furniture. They’re free to make themselves at home.

Suzy worries about rabbits or cats lurking in the shadows." The first night Suzy slept in the bathroom, a safe place, but the second night she slept in the bedroom with everyone else. The additional good news, Suzy does not have stress diarrhea because of her visit.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since childhood and professionally for 5 years. Dogs in my care are loved as if they were my own. We have a friendly one year old English cream who keeps us busy and loves to make new friends. I am currently home full time and available most days to walk or board your fur baby. We take our dog and yours on at least two long walks a day with multiple pee breaks in between. Our English cream, Frankie and his parents will keep your baby company and we’ll cared for. We both work from home and give Frankie lots of love and walks throughout the day. About: I kind of fell into the dog sitting fun. My mom used to “sit” with every kind of being from baby to dog before it became a popular hustle. Growing up I’ve always helped and learned from her how to care for other’s family members as one’s own. In my spare time, I love to hike and I walk everyday. About: Just the 2 of us. Our sweet boy crossed over the rainbow bridge, and while we’re not quite ready to get another dog, we love making new paw friends! I grew up with labs (mostly ) but now have Gizmo, a labrodoodle , who will soon become BDE (best dog ever) if he can finally learn how to not jump like a kangaroo when he sees his dog friends. About: I've grown up with animals my entire life beginning with Mr. Blue the Himalayan Cat and Kahlua the Black Lab and all of the animals I've loved, worked with, and now become mama to in my adult life. I can most often be found at home. Between kids, fur babies (both mine and others’) I stay pretty busy. I have a Golden Retriever who just turned 7 (though you’d never know he wasn’t still a pup) to play with and keep your baby company. There's space in my home to separate if anyone needs a break and I can easily crate if needed or desired. *Crating is for safety and comfort only, I do not use crating as a means of discipline. I work from home so there is plenty of room in my schedule for playtime, walks, pet-friendly outings, cuddles, feeds and/or any other specialized care your friend might require. I have an unfenced yard so any outside play will be leashed or in an enclosure. For additional safety, I keep a few dog crates on hand. They are available for pups that are crate trained, in case I need to separate, or even personal preference! Dogs are den animals so when used correctly, some of them (like ours!) love having a cozy space to relax. *Please note, I never use crates as “punishment” in our home, nor do I believe in or practice discipline of animals. I care for and love every animal the way I’d want my sweet boy loved and cared for.

About: I grew up taking care of a friend's dog. I would take the dog on long walks. I also fed him and taught him tricks. My mom is a dog walker and I often help her. Through this help, I have walked and fed a variety of different kinds of dogs. I have experience with adopted dogs who have had trauma. I have had experience taking care of friends' cats as well. A dog I grew up with lived a long happy life and towards the end of it, had a lot of health problems. Through my experience with him, I learned to take care of older dogs. He was a very very smart goldendoodle and needed a lot of stimulation, so I often played with him using dog puzzles and now have experience helping guide dogs through them. When I was younger, I had the chance to work with and ride horses which I very much loved. I am currently working part time while attending grad school, so my schedule is very flexible! I have a lot of availability weekday afternoons, and can do evenings and weekends as well. I feed pets, ofcourse, and have experience washing dogs. I like to intellectually stimulate a pet and try to teach them tricks with food or treats. The dog I grew up often taking care of required a LOT of intellectual stimulation. We would play all sorts of different games and I would teach him tricks. He required a lot of this attention, so we often used kibble instead of treats. One of my favorite parts of meeting a new animal is learning how they communicate. I will endeavor to learn how your pet expresses their needs and wants so I can best support them.
“Ripley underwent some big life changes recently. right after i started up a new job with a long commute, she lost her best (dog) buddy, who she was used to spending her days with. all of this meant Ripley was going to be spending 12+ hour days all alone. But then we met Dana, our Rover dog-walker! Now Ripley gets 30-minute adventures 2-3x a week, complete with photo updates and little synopsis of what went down on the walk. Getting the Rover notification, “Ripley’s been picked up for her walk!” is the highlight of my day. She’s in amazing hands, and I’m one grateful, teary-eyed dog mom. This looks and sounds like a Rover ad, but i’m not getting paid for it. I do highly highly recommend Dana - she is in Staunton. If you’re thinking, “my dog isn’t easy- she can’t be walked by just anyone” - that is exactly what i thought. Dana brings her husband on walks, and he can help manage the strength of a giant breed, (Ripley weighs over 100lbs) Also, if you think that your dog is too skittish to be walked by anyone other than you, I thought the same thing. Dana and her husband weren’t afraid of Ripley’s initial reaction to them. They stuck around for about an hour to wait for her to calm down and they gained her trust. They even introduced Ripley to their kids.”

About: I've spent nearly my entire life caring for pets, from dogs and cats to guinea pigs. My love for animals was ingrained in me from early childhood, and my passion for nurturing animals plays a huge role in who I am today 🩷🐾 I'm currently in college and taking online classes for the 2026/2027 school year. This allows me to have a very flexible schedule for pet care. I currently offer pet sitting services outside of my home. This typically entails feeding dogs breakfast/dinner, taking them outside every few hours, playing with those who enjoy outside time, and simply spending some time providing belly rub services 🐶 For most cats, I feed breakfast/dinner, empty litter box daily, let outside (if permitted 🐈) and set aside time for cuddles 🐾
About: I have taken care of dogs of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember. I have a large black lab of my own so I’m used to handling big dogs. I have watched dogs of all breeds from great Danes to mini toy poodles. I’m a grad student looking for a way to make a little extra money by taking great care of some pups. I’m currently in graduate school but have large gaps between classes where I can take your pup on brief walks, feed, and play with them throughout the day! In the mornings or afternoon once my classes are over I can take the dogs on longer walks and spend a little bit more time with them! At this time I do not provide care in my home but I’m willing to drop by at any hour to help keep your pup company! I am a lover of all animals! At school I’m missing my dog so I would love your fur baby as my own!

I take instructions well and am a fast learner. I am very observant, I will care for your home and pet like it was my own. I am also skilled in American Sign Language, as I am hard of hearing, and can teach your pet to respond to signs. I am also quick to respond with text in case of emergencies. I especially love puppies and kittens and am willing to clean up any messes. I am flexible on long term stay rates if you go on several day vacations. Thank you!

About: All my life I've loved and cared for animals. Cats, dogs, goats, chickens, cows, fish, you name it. I've got 20+ years of experience. The past 11 years I've discovered my love for bulldogs. I have a happy family of rescue frenchies, a Great Dane, a kunekune pig, goats and even an African Zebu steer. I have previous experience working in veterinary clinics. In my previous life I was a bloodhound search and rescue handler as well. I have experience with senior dogs, puppies, large and small dogs, cats and a variety of other critters as well. I think animals are wonderful souls and I treat them all with respect and love. My life, my little farm, my routine and personal schedule revolve around my dogs and other critters. I work from home so my availability is usually quite flexible. I have a nicely fenced yard where dogs can run and play. If a dog is boarding with me, or in daycare, they will have plenty of playtime throughout the day. When the dogs are done playing and it's time to rest, I have dedicated rooms with comfy crates and playpens. I am very comfortable taking care of senior dogs or those that need a little extra tlc.
