“Excellent! Morgan was wonderful. She treated our doggy just like he was her own. She stayed in our home and it was cleaner than when we left. Morgan sent updates and photos of Mav every single day. She even left us a beautiful thank you note.”

About: I have been around cats and dogs all my life. I just love all animals. Dog walking is great for their physical and mental health/improves their joints, and all around good therapy for me and your pet. Play time is also important. I will treat your furry family member with the utmost care & diligence. I am responsible, attentive, & detail oriented and will provide quality services. Currently available during the day. Just about anyday with a little notice. Can set up regular scheduled walk times. Or if you are in a bind, and need, on spur of notice. I am willing to walk from your home, or to a near by park. Giving attention and time. I typically like to know if they have a specific diet, medications, preferences, etc.
About: I’ve had cats all of my life, and have dog-sat for friends, neighbors, and coworkers since becoming an adult. My own little orange kitty has many medical adventures—so I’m also very used to administering medicine to cats. I have flexibility in my work hours and can work around routine meetings - allowing for flexibility when caring for our loved ones! I know some furballs need more together time than others so also have a job where I can work virtually too! I love working under instruction—every pet is different and needs different attention and affection! I love to give cuddles and have playtime, and am very detail-oriented when taking care of pets.
“Billie is definitely one of my favorite rover sitters to date! She was highly responsive during the booking/meet and greet process and very communicative throughout the duration of the stay. We received multiple updates a day with multiple photos which definitely put us at ease since one of our dogs can sometimes shut down a little while we are away. Billie did great with both of our dogs and even the one who typically hides while we are gone was a big fan - he was out and social most of the stay. Billie also left our house immaculate. Cannot give her enough praise, will definitely look to book more of our sittings with Billie in the future.”

“Kiah took great care of our dog while we were out of town and left our house very clean on her departure. We received updates while we were gone and she asked questions when she wasn’t sure about something. Kiah is wonderful!”
“Ashton was great with our two dogs! They warmed up to him almost immediately and he was very thoughtful in their care. He was very responsive and prudent with being on time and keeping them on a schedule. Also left the house exactly how he found it which was a huge relief being able to come home to a clean house! Would absolutely recommend!”

“We will use Tristen as our dog sitter as long as he is dog sitting!! Our (high maintenance) dogs love him! We always appreciate it when he watches our dogs! It makes for a carefree vacation knowing he’s our sitter!”

“Ashley is incredible! Her and her son actually left our house nicer than we left it for her. She went way above what was expected of her like she vacuumed our house totally not necessary but we sure did appreciate it. Most definitely she will become a part of this family in some capacity.”

“Evan is a ROCKSTAR! ⭐️ 100/10 stars! Dobby usually barks when meeting new people, but he took to Evan immediately—which says a lot! Evan was incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, and he did an amazing job taking care of Dobby and communicating with us throughout the entire stay. We felt completely comfortable knowing Dobby was in such great hands. We will ABSOLUTELY ask for Evan as our first choice every time in the future. Couldn’t recommend him more!”

“Debi is wonderful! This was another stay for our girl Piper with her, and once again we felt completely comfortable knowing Piper was in such caring hands. Debi is warm, attentive, reliable, and genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. She also took great care of our home and grounds and sent wonderful pictures and updates throughout the entire time we were gone.It means so much to be able to leave Piper and not worry about her—and Piper is always happy and comfortable with Debi. We’re so grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can truly trust with their dog. Thank you, Debi! ❤️🐾”

“Dominique was so responsive and flexible! I booked a Rover service to watch my dog on my wedding day. She was so accommodating and arrived right in schedule! She helped keep me at ease giving my updates so that I could enjoy my wedding day!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Starview
Kiah was amazing with our dog. Hes normally a very easy dog, not requiring much - BUT he ended up being sick the day we were leaving for vacation and she still was willing to care for him. We ended up coming home for 2 days because of how ill he was, but when he started feeling better she was willing to come back and finish out the week so we could return to our vacation. She took such great care of our dog and also took great care of the house. We can’t give her enough praise!

Sarah was absolutely phenomenal! She took such wonderful care of my dogs and cast and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious she genuinely cared, kept me updated, and treated my furbabies like one of her own. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. I will definitely be hiring her again in the future!

If you are at all skeptical about a pet sitter or house sitter, Abby is the sitter to get. She is so experienced and knowledgeable, I didn't have a moment's doubt that my very big, energetic shepherd would be very, very happy. She takes her job extremely seriously; she is meticulous, energetic and enthusiastic. She is reliable, communicative with updates and pictures, and very polite. It was a pleasure to have her in my home.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of September 2026, there are 1,037 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Starview. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Starview walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Starview maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Starview choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Starview. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
