“Vicki did a great job taking care of Tucker, she followed his routine, played fetch and hung out in the back yard, some of his favorite activities. She kept us updated with texts and pictures. We would ask her back again.”

“Sarah is a wonderful caregiver and took wonderful care of our canine family member. She is also very communicative, professional, responsive, and courteous. She took great care of our home as well. It was such a treat to know that there was nothing to worry about back at home while traveling. Highly recommend her and her services!”

About: I’m a caring person who loves dogs and grew up with a lab. I have experience with taking care of friends puppies and senior dogs. I love to play hard with them so they can sleep good for you! I can walk dogs before I go to work and, take them out immediately when I get back home. I will also make sure they are being fed at the right times. I’m happy to transport pets and have them stay at my apartment for up to a week. I will provide long walks with them on leash and follow procedures at a client’s home. Making sure that the pet is comfortable is a top priority for me.

“Shylina was so sweet with our June who is a little anxious- she was calm with Shylina right from the first meet and greet! The house was just as we left it. We got lots of photos of a happy June, too! Thank you so much Shylina. We will be calling on you again!”

About: I have loved animals my whole life. growing up with dogs, cats, fish, and birds, I enjoy pets of all kinds! I have experience with both pet boarding and pet sitting! I have worked with several different families with multiple dog and feel totally comfortable with that. Going to the dog park is always fun but I know some dogs aren’t comfortable there. I also have lots of experience with cats and birds. My roommate is allergic to cats so they can’t stay at our house but I would be happy to come to yours. Walking pups is a great way to explore new neighborhoods. Through these kinds of experiences I have learned that it is always more fun to walk around and explore with a four legged friend. I work a pretty consistent schedule but I am lucky enough to be able to flex it. I can adjust it to meet your pups needs. I have a fenced in yard that I spend a lot of time in during the summer. There are no other dogs in the building
“Sarah was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations. She easily connected with our dog and understood his needs. We look forward to working with her again. We cannot recommend her enough.”

“Grace did a great job with my two dogs. First time out of town with them no problem! Both are in training so still have puppy behaviors at times and she navigated them well. Lots of pictures and updates. Will book again. Recommended!”
“We booked Levi to watch our pets while we were away for our wedding weekend, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! He went above and beyond — coming to our house twice beforehand so our dogs (and even our cat!) could get comfortable with him. While we were gone, Levi took amazing care of our pets, including handling medications for our dogs with health issues, keeping us updated, and making sure everyone was happy and healthy. We came home to a clean house and happy pets! It gave us so much peace of mind during such an important weekend knowing our pets were in such capable and caring hands. We’ll absolutely be booking Levi again — highly, highly recommend! 🐶🐾”

“Julia was a great companion and caregiver for our dog this weekend. She was attentive and communicated well with us regarding her time with him. The house was well kept and all his needs were met!”

About: I grew up with dogs and as an adult, I have had 3 cats. Sadly they have passed away from old age. In the future, I plan on having another pet, but in the meantime, I can love and care for other people's animals! Friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their pets. I do work full-time Monday through Friday, but my schedule would be available on weekends and some weekdays after 5:30 PM. Holidays can be an option also. My main values are providing safety, trust and love to your pets with respect to the pet owners. When I am with your pet you will be worry free!
“Kallyn has watched our house and our Annie, twice now. Both times, she’s been great and Annie loves her! She’s helped us with things around the house that need to be done while we are gone and she keeps us updated on Annie. We especially love the pictures that we get. We highly recommend her!!”

I am a newly single mother looking for income doing what comes naturally. I am a care giver by nature. My schedule is open. I am available for your needs. I have a senior dog that suffers from separation anxiety. He has always been by my side. He is gentle and gets along with all other animals. I have 3 rescued cats, one of which has special dietary needs. About: I love watching all types of dogs. Whether it be young or old, big or small. Dogs react to my personality in a positive way; I think they can tell that I’m a loving human. I do have a lab/ pit mix, Oso. He is very sweet and loves having other dogs over! For house sitting, I will leave him at home with my partner. I will always follow all instructions given to me about your animals. I understand how important it is to cater to each of your pets wants and needs. I will always send updates through out sittings and hoardings along with pictures so rest assured while you are away from your babies. Thank you for reading my bio and I hope to meet your dog soon!
“We just had Ally stay for 3 nights with our 2 cats. She is a great communicator, providing updates and photos frequently. We had complete peace of mind knowing they were being well cared for. We came home to calm kitties and a tidy house. Ally is a wonderful sitter!”

About: I have pet sat for family members and friends. I also have worked at Wag’n Wash and have a lot of experience with all different types of breeds and temperaments. I know how to properly handle and deal with most if not all situations. I am home for the summer from college in the middle of May, and after I’m home I will be free most of the week with some errands and stuff I have to do in between some days. So I will be able to house sit during the week or just take them on walks or check up on them, depending on what the client wants to do. I work weekends but am able to take breaks and stop by the house if needed. I will insure all the care is specialized to each animal and what service I provide for them. With each pet I will come up with a specific care plan for them and review it with the owner to insure they get a say in what happened while they are gone.
About: I’ve loved dogs as long as i can remember, I’ve been around dogs my whole life, had a Labrador Retriever growing up. My passion really began when neighbors would start asking me to dog sit for them. I always knew I wanted to do something with animals (mainly dogs.) a family friend told me about Rover & I immediately knew I had to become a sitter. I am very trustworthy and reliable & easy to reach! I currently do not have any pets in my home which makes me a great sitter if your dog isn’t a fan of other dogs/animals! I’m currently working part time so I have plenty of time to play with your dogs & care for them. & I can take whatever time needed to watch your dogs if you preferred I stay with them 100% You can always count on the fact that your dog is SAFE. If you don’t have a fenced in yard, I will keep your dog leashed unless you say otherwise!
“Our sitter had to cancel for a family emergency pretty last minute so we decided to try Rover. We reached out to Tori and received a response and set a time to meet really quickly! After agreeing to watch our 12 week old puppy we were off! We received multiple updates including pictures while we were away which really helped make us feel at ease. Tori also asked great questions about Ollie’s schedule and our expectations which made us feel more comfortable. We came home to happy puppy and a clean house! Would definitely recommend Tori for your next vacation!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Stanton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Stanton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Stanton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stanton. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
