“Stevie absolutely LOVES staying with Robyn. We also greatly appreciate her communication while Stevie is with her. It is evident Stevie is treated like family when she stays! Thank you Robyn!!!”

“Laura was a fantastic dog sitter! She was flexible with scheduling pick up/drop off, sent an update with a photo, and our pup seemed to have a great time with her. We will definitely use her services again!”

“Sara took a great care of our little guy. She gave timely updates and I can see that our Leo had so much fun and comfortable at her place. I would definitely keep our little guy with Sara again.”

“The fact that Courtney is a vet was one of the reasons I reached out to see if she was able to watch Sunny for a weekend while I was out of town due to how anxious she can get. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint. During the meet and greet, she asked about emergency vet info and offered her office as an option for urgent but non-emergency situations since I don’t have a primary emergency vet. She was aware of Sunny’s needs while she was there. Courtney also kept great communication and sent lots of videos and pics during her stay. I would 10/10 recommend her and will definitely be booking services with her again when the time comes!”

“Lindsey is an amazing sitter!! She shows a lot of love to Chico and he loves her back. Chico came back to us clean, well fed and with no issues. Lindsey's children are very fond of him too. And I appreciate the fact that she sends me pictures of him at play with his furry friends every day. That keeps me at peace to know he's having an enjoyable stay.”

“Amy and Thomas did an amazing job caring for Peter. He came home happy, healthy, and calm. I'm glad he had the opportunity to interact with their dog Phoebe. Phoebe is delightful and friendly. They communicated with messages and pictures throughout Peter's stay. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Charlie’s stay with Samantha and her family was wonderful. They took him in so we could visit my family for Christmas and let him be a part of their Christmas. He was warm and well cared for. They sent us many pictures and shared the fun they had. We will definitely seek her out in the future. Thanks for taking such good care of our boy.”

“We were very hesitant using a dog sitter. Our dog is a bit jumpy and we feared that she may be too much for her to handle not to mention we have never left her with anyone. Kelly was wonderful with her and sent daily updates including pics. It put our minds at ease and we were able to enjoy our weekend away. We will use her again.”

“Elizabeth was great! She sent plenty of updates during our dog’s stay, which was greatly appreciated and followed all instructions when it came to him. She was also super sweet and her family was just as sweet, we felt very comfortable leaving Meechie with her.”

“Kendra took great care of our pup Jax. She was attentive to his needs & kept us informed of how he was doing throughout his entire stay, making sure to send lots of photos! She is also very sweet, caring, and responds very quickly. Definitely recommend!”

“I highly recommend Kaycie. She took excellent care of my senior dog. He was happy and I could tell he had bonded with her as he looked back when we left. It was cute. Thank you, Kaycie, for taking care of him!”
“Totiyana is so patient and caring! Our Blu is a big ball of energy, especially around other dogs but she could handle him. Will definitely be using her services again! Thank you!”

About: I have fostered more than 20 shelter dogs, and I volunteer at nearby shelters to take dogs out for the day. I am experienced in crate training, potty training, and other general training as well as very knowledgeable in pet safety. I am currently in school, with only a two classes during the week so I am able to take your pets into my home or I can come by frequently, never leaving them alone for more than 2-3 hours if needed! I have an apartment that your pet can be with me in, and throughout the day I take dogs on very frequent walks as well as to the parks nearby to play.
“Mark and Kayleigh were amazing, start to finish, while watching our sweet pup. They both clearly know and love dogs, their house and yard and wonderful and safe for pets. They were attentive to the dog, responsive to us while we were on our trip, and operate with respect and professionalism you’d hope for when letting someone watch over a part of your family. Can’t recommend them enough! Our Shiloh will absolutely be staying with them again on our next trip.”

“This is the first time the girls have spent nights away from home without me. I left them in the correct hands. They were well loved and attended. Lanie needed socialization and Lili a soft place to sleep, they both got what was needed. Thanks so much!!”

“Marissa was so wonderful, accommodating and understanding. My plans changed a few times and she was incredibly understanding. She took wonderful care of Basil. It seems like he felt right at home with her. I appreciated the updates and the pictures. Thank you so much Marissa!”

“All the hype about Dante is true! He’s communicative, accommodating, and really great energy. He asks a lot of questions to ensure my Kado was well taken care of. Dante is someone who truly loves what he does and that makes me happy. I think Kado and I found a permanent sitter until Dante retires us lol”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Stanton
Laura was great. She took wonderful care of our sometimes difficult pup and he loved being there with her and her pup Eugene. We’re going away for 10 nights soon and Laura is our first choice of sitters. We definitely recommend her to anyone needing a caring, supportive sitter in their home!

Samantha and her family are fabulous dog sitters. They take great care of Charlie when we leave him with them. He has a lot of fun and is very comfortable. Samantha sends pictures and an update every day. We most enthusiastically recommend leaving your pet with them.

This is the second time we have used Elisabeth. Her and her family are so sweet and treat the dogs they watch like their own! She watched our dog for 2 weeks which is the longest we’ve been apart, and Elisabeth was amazing with sending us pictures and updates. It made us feel so much better! We will definitely book again!

Andrew is a wonderful dog sitter and always answers any questions we have and accommodated our dog visiting/meeting Jimmy prior to staying. Our dog is very clearly comfortable there and immediately makes himself at home! Jimmy is a very good host too! Andrew sends photo updates regularly. We love knowing Finn is being well cared for and is having his own relaxing vacation :)

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
94% of sitters in Stanton can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Stanton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Stanton.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Stanton sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
