“This was my first time leaving my blind, senior dog with a dog sitter in 16 years. I was pretty anxious at first, but the constant communication and updates every day made my anxiety go away. Really great dog sitter, followed all the instructions, has a nice grass lawn for walks and potty time. The drop off and pick up is super easy and smooth. Replies almost instantly. Definitely will leave my doggo with her again during my travels. Thank you!!”

“Valerie was wonderful! We received daily updates and photos and she responded quickly to any communications. I felt our cat Bridgette was in the best hands. I would leave more stars if I could!”

“Marcie recently took care of my little Romeo while I was away visiting family for a few days giving me peace of mind knowing he was being cared for by someone who is as kind and patient as her. She greeted me giving a tour of where Romeo would be relaxing- her space is safe, clean plus dog-friendly. We were able to communicate easily with pictures and updates, even when my flight was delayed Marcie assured me that he would be fine until I got there. My Romeo will definitely be returning. Thank you so much! You deserve all 5 ⭐️'s.”

“I had such a wonderful experience with Susan and cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, her communication was excellent, and she made me feel completely comfortable and confident that Storm was in caring and capable hands. Susan kept me consistently updated on Storm’s daily activities, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. I truly appreciated the thoughtful updates and knowing how he was doing each day. What stood out most, however, was the genuine love, kindness, and attention she showed Storm. It was very clear that she truly cared about his happiness and well-being and treated him with so much warmth and affection. Susan was also incredibly thoughtful and kind toward me throughout the entire experience. Her professionalism, reliability, and compassionate nature made such a positive impression. As a dog parent, it means so much to find someone you can genuinely trust with such an important member of your family, and I feel incredibly grateful to have found Susan. Thank you, Susan, for taking such wonderful care of Storm and for giving him so much love and attention. Your communication and updates made the entire experience easy and reassuring for me. I would absolutely trust Susan with Storm again and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, dependable, and exceptional pet sitter.”

“Monty was well taken care of over the weekend which allowed me to go out of town for a wedding with peace of mind! They sent me consistent updates and Monty was smiling in each one! They also made sure Monty got his medications on time. If you’re looking for a sitter with safety, fun and love as your top priorities, please don’t hesitate to book De’Andra and Christopher!!!”

“Dee is awesome. This is our second time using her services and our baby, Coco loves staying with her. This makes us feel very comfortable. She gives us updates that things are good and sends photos too. She is very reliable and communicative. We are happy that we have someone that takes such good care of our baby. Thank you, Dee!”

“Patrick was absolutely excellent! Communication was great from the start. We coordinated for him to pick up Mimi from our home and then bring her back, which made everything so easy. Every day he sent photos and detailed updates about how she was doing during the day and night, which gave us so much peace of mind. He brought her back clean, smelling great, and very happy. Thank you so much, Patrick — we will definitely contact you again!”

“Martin and Susie were a pleasure to work with. We met for a Meet&Greet and Martin was friendly and also helpful in explaining how they handle having Rover dogs at their home. Our pup seemed very comfortable during the M&G. She ended up staying with Martin and Susie for a long weekend. They kept us updated on her stay with messages and photos which left us with zero concern while we were away. They were very flexible with drop off and pick up times and that was much appreciated!”

“We had a nice experience with Samantha. She took great care of our Chihuahua for a long weekend and sent pictures and updates throughout. We will use her again. 😀”

“Rachel was friendly and had two Frienchies of her own that Bodi could play with. I appreciated the photos and updates she sent throughout pet-sitting of the puppers playing, napping and out on walks. She had several gates up around the house to partition off separate areas for the dogs if they needed downtime from one another. It was a good experience and I would recommend Rachel if you are looking for a sitter for your pup.”

I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, litter box care, and following each pet’s individual routine and needs. 🐾 I work from home, so I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention and care they need throughout the day. Pet care is already a big part of my daily routine, so fitting in walks, feedings, playtime, and check-ins comes naturally. make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’m happy to handle feeding, fresh water, walks, potty breaks, litter boxes, playtime, and lots of attention. I’ll also follow any specific instructions you provide to make sure your pet feels safe and at home while you’re away.

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember! I grew up with dogs and have always loved being around animals. I’m an active person who enjoys getting outside, going for walks, and spending time with furry friends, so caring for dogs feels like a pretty natural fit for me. I know how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to feel comfortable with the person you’re leaving them with. I’m responsible, attentive, and will make sure your pup gets plenty of love, attention, exercise, and of course, belly rubs! 🐶 Whether your dog loves a long walk or would rather relax on the couch and be spoiled, I’m happy to accommodate their personality and routine. I work full-time remotely, giving me a flexible schedule and allowing me to be home throughout the day. I can easily take breaks for walks and potty breaks as needed. I live in an apartment, so my primary services are dog walking and drop-in visits. I’m attentive to each dog’s needs and will make sure they’re safe and well cared for.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Stacey Street home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Stacey Street.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Stacey Street sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
