“Rex is just the best. Constant contact and is always sending pictures of what Brooks is up to. Super appreciative of what he does. Thanks, Rex, for another great service. In our area, he's the only one we'll go with.”

“Kelli keeps in frequent contact with us while she has Bo providing updates with photos and sometimes video! This last stay Bo had some diarrhea and she made sure we were aware, asked for feedback and if there was any action we wanted her to take. Kelli is reliable and we trust her fully with our Fur Baby. We have been using her since 2022 I believe and she has never let us down!”

“Liz was absolutely lovely. She took great care of my very anxious dog and went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and kept me updated as to how she was doing all weekend. Would definitely recommend.”

About: A calm, loving home with a fenced yard—and 30 years of real dog experience to back it up. Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes, ages, and personalities. Dogs have always been a part of my life, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. Two years ago, I lost my beloved shepherd. While that was incredibly hard, it inspired me to open my home and heart to other dogs. Since then, I’ve been caring for dogs for family and friends, as well as volunteering with foster dogs—helping them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while they wait for their forever homes. I have a fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely play and explore, and I don’t have any pets of my own right now. That means your dog gets my full attention in a calm, low-stress environment—perfect for dogs who prefer their own space or need a little extra comfort. I treat every dog like they’re my own and tailor care to their unique personality—whether that’s active playtime, relaxing companionship, or a steady routine. You can count on me to provide a safe, loving, and dependable home filled with attention, affection, and plenty of tail wags. I’d love to meet you and your pup! Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I work full time, but I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to be home often and adjust my day around the needs of the dogs in my care. I’m able to provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. Your dog won’t be left alone for long periods and will be part of a calm, structured, and caring environment. I provide a calm, safe, and loving home where dogs feel relaxed and happy. They get potty breaks, playtime, and fenced-yard fun, and if I’m at work, crating is never more than 4 hours, with breaks on lunch or as needed. With no other pets at home, your dog gets plenty of one-on-one attention and care like family.
“Shawnia was the best pet sitter ever. Seven really enjoyed herself and she made me feel at ease during my whole trip by sending me pictures and updates. I’ll definitely be booking with her again. Thank you so much.”

“Katlynn is amazing! Zoe always has a great time when she’s with Katlynn. Zoe stayed with her for a full week and she even bathed Zoe before I picked her up, which was really sweet of her! Will definitely book her every time.”

“This is my second time trusting Deb to care for Ralph. It was a very last minute request and I thank her tremendously for being there for me and Ralph in a pinch. Deb’s home is clean and well maintained. I love that Ralph always has friends to play with when he goes there and she takes excellent care of Ralph. I trust her completely.”
“This was my first time using Rover. Taya was responsive, and answered all my questions before I booked her. I was nervous the day of, upon meeting Taya I felt better. Her house is set up perfectly for dogs, and boarding dogs. With a huge back yard!! She took amazing care of our doggy. I received many photos, videos and communication during my trip. Koda Skye was loved on, interacted with and well taken care of!!! Taya went above and beyond for me and I will book her again, without hesitation.”

“Kathy was fantastic with Teddy. She suggested a meet & greet prior to officially booking to make sure it was a good match. For the week that Teddy stayed with Kathy she provided photos, videos and written updates which helped keep us at ease. It is clear that Kathy loves dogs and enjoys having them in her home!”

“I think Murray enjoyed staying with Julie and Joe. We loved getting picture updates while we were away. Definitely will be booking with Julie again!! Thanks for taking great care of our Murray!!”

“This was a fun visit for my dog. Lots of good questions about how they could help Cooper feel comfortable during his stay. Lyla, their dog, was more than happy to welcome Cooper into their home! Lots of playing, and Cooper came home tired and happy. I would definitely recommend!”

“Kaila was an awesome dog sitter! She gave frequent updates which made me feel better about leaving my pup. She has dogs herself which was perfect for my dog to socialize and play with. I look forward to booking with her again!”

About: Hello! I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Illinois. I am home in MI with my parents for the summer, so I’d love to care for your pet(s) while you’re away. I have experience with dogs and cats of all temperaments and energy levels. I am also Fear Free certified, so I pride myself on providing comfortable visits. I will be in the Battle Creek area from June through August. Come August, I will be in the Champaign, IL area. My daily/weekly schedule is fairly open as I do not have a current job. My pets are allowed on furniture. However, I will respect whatever rules you have in place with your pet. I tend to do an outside break every 2-4 hours depending on weather, but in the summer most days are spent outside. I feed my dog on a 2 meal schedule, but can accommodate the pet(s) normal meal routines.
“Being my 1st time using the app with my puppy, I was nervous. Jenai & Sean were outstanding! They made my dog feel like part of their family and treated him with as much love as I do. They were patient with his quirks & kind to send lots of photos to keep me informed. I will absolutely be using them in the future & highly recommend them”

“Great 1st experience for my Teddy and I. I’m so pleased with the care my boy received! This was our first time actually hiring a dog sitter and it was flawless, such a wonderful experience with Catherine. From beginning to end, she made everything so easy and comforting for my dog and I!”

“Trina is an excellent dog caretaker. Our little Bean had so much fun and you could tell she felt very loved. She'll treat your pup like it's her own. She's generous, dedicated and kind. We will definitely be using her services again.”

“Beth and Tracy were absolutely wonderful with Duke. Beth communicated often and took lots of pictures. They took wonderful care of our pup, which made us feel really good and allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation.”

Many sitters in MI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
