About: I have a Shih Tzu of my own, so I understand the daily care, attention, and love that dogs need. I am a responsible, patient, and caring person who enjoys spending time with dogs. I can provide walks, feeding, playtime, fresh water, and plenty of affection. I will treat every dog as if they were my own and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give dogs the time and attention they deserve. I make sure they get regular walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and plenty of affection. I will always do my best to follow each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and happy. I live in a clean, pet-friendly apartment where dogs will receive plenty of love, attention, and care. I have my own Shih Tzu, so I understand the importance of keeping dogs safe and comfortable. My apartment is close to two parks, including a dog water park, where I can take dogs for walks and playtime with the owner’s permission. I will always follow your pet’s routine and make their safety my top priority.
“I liked Chloe the minute I met her. She came over for a pre visit to meet my cats and learn about their routine. Ava and Tucker warmed up to her right away and I knew they would be in good hands. Chloe arrived on schedule for four mornings and five evenings to feed, play with and attend the litter box. When I arrived home from my trip, the house was in order, and everything looked as I left it. I’ll definitely request Chloe again. 🏠😸👍🏻👍🏻”

About: I’ve been around and loving animals my whole life. I have had my dog Copper since I was a puppy and as he has gotten older I have learned how to care for older senior dogs and the responsibility that comes with that. My more recent pup, Buckley, I got a couple years ago. I trained and raised her myself so I also have experience with puppy care as well. While pursuing my undergraduate degree I volunteered at an Animal Shelter as a pet adoption counselor and dog walker, so I have lots of experience with a wide variety of breeds and pet safety. I currently have a 2 year old cat named Cleo that I am the sole caretaker for, and have a lot of experience cat sitting as well. As a first-year Doctor of Physical Therapy student at UC, I spend a lot of time at my desk studying and would love a furry study buddy! My class schedule fluctuates week-to-week between 9 AM and 4 PM, so I am generally unavailable for midday check-ins during the week (unless you live right next to campus). However, my evenings and weekends are completely wide open and dedicated to pet care. I love going for long walks to clear my head after class and am more than willing to house-sit and spend the night. Your pet will get plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship when I am off campus! With my background as a dog walker and shelter adoption counselor, I am fully trained in pet safety, reading animal body language, handling worst-case scenarios, and administering medications. Because I have experience with both energetic puppies and senior dogs, I easily adapt to whatever level of care and attention your pet requires, making sure they get at least one good walk a day or a fun weekend trip to a local park or hike. I am also passionate about feline enrichment and love setting up daily toy rotations or interactive puzzles to keep cats mentally stimulated and happy. To ensure your pet stays completely comfortable in their own routine and to keep my own cat happy at home, I exclusively provide care in your home and am more than happy to house-sit and spend the night so your furry family member gets plenty of evening cuddles, consistent companionship, and the best care possible!

Weekends during the day would be best for my schedule but I am flexible! I have a large fenced in yard for your fur baby to play. I will walk as far as you’d prefer. I will send update pictures if you’d prefer!

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover with years of experience caring for both dogs and cats as a pet parent and my family and friends go to pet sitter . I’ve had dogs since I was a child, welcomed my first cat in my early 20s, and today I share my home with two dogs and two cats. Caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life, and I understand that every pet has their own unique personality, routine, and needs. Whether your pet loves walks, playtime, snuggles on the couch, or simply having someone keep them company, I’m happy to provide the care and attention they deserve. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! I am off weekends, work remotely two days a week that I can place where I need. When I’m in office I drop back in around lunch time anywhere between 11-1 depending on the needs of my guests to feed, play, and provide bathroom breaks. Your pet will have plenty of room to run and play in my large, fully fenced backyard, along with lots of toys to keep them entertained. My own dogs are beloved indoor family members, so they’re never left outside unattended for extended periods and your pets will receive the same level of care and attention. I believe pets are family, so they’re welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s what they’re used to at home. My dogs enjoy eating together, but I understand that some pets prefer their own space during mealtime. I’m happy to accommodate their individual routines and make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and right at home while you’re away.

“Misr is very personable. She came for a visit ( which was with my partner)aince it was her first time dropping in to care for the two dogs. We first video chatted and I knew I selected someone with pet experience and a real love and connection towards animals. Both of us felt the sincerity and warmth immediately. The dogs, one of which is not social both liked her spirit. Misty followed instrucions and requests to a t, was prompt and thorough. So glad I chose Misty to allow us to be gone Christmas day and not worry the dogs were in excellent care. Thank you for facilitating a break away from home and lovingly checkimg on our 2 dogs.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
