“Evgenii was amazing! Our older two dogs were well cared for. We received pics and updates which made us happy! Our house was spotless when we returned! Couldn’t have chosen a better dog sitter. Highly recommend him and will be using him again!”

About: I am 24 years old and a teacher! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds and ages for 10 years. I have done overnight sitting, stop in visits, frequently or daily walks, vacation sitting, and so much more. I am available most days in the Summer and happy to help out! I also have two dogs of my own (both cockapoos) one is 13 and the other is 5! Because I am a teacher, I am off for the summer. My daily and weekly routines can be easily adjusted based on your pets needs/schedule. I am happy to play with your pet either inside or in a backyard (if it is fenced in), take your pet on long walks, and make sure he/she has everything they need.
“Kevin stayed with our Abby for 10 days while we went on vacation. Abby has anxiety when it comes to storms and unfortunately, there was one on day one and Kevin managed her medication along with her daily medications and finicky diet. I got the impression that he really enjoyed. Abby and I know Abby was happy with his care. He was great and very communicative, kind, and respectful of our home.He inquired as to what to do with linens ad left it in great condition. We are grateful that we found Kevin on Rover and will be happy to have him care for Abby again!”

“Vanessa, thank you so, so much for taking great care of our pup. This was our first long time away from him and we’re as happy to see him as he is to see us. Thanks for all the great communication along the way.”

“Cordelia was absolutely amazing with Gracie! She was incredibly attentive, followed all of our instructions to a tee, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She consistently checked in and sent photos, which we really appreciated—it was such a comfort to see Gracie happy and relaxed. It was clear she was well cared for and truly loved. We’d gladly book with Cordelia again—highly recommend!”

“Katalina took such great care of my puppy for the weekend which was also last minute. She kept me updated and sent pictures allowing me to have a worry free weekend. I came home to a clean house and a happy dog. Highly recommend!!”

“Excellent pet sitter. Very reliable, conscientious, caring and trustworthy. She kept us abreast of how our fur babies were doing each day and so pleasant to work with. I highly recommend her. Judy C.”
About: ⚠If you're new to Rover use my Promo code "XAVIEM67281" to get a 💲20 discount off the first service you use with me. ⚠ I have been taking care of pets for as long as I can remember. Not a day goes by that I'm not taking care of the family pets or someone else's. I have walked, checked on, and baby sat dogs of all different shapes and sizes. I use to take care of my neighbors dogs, when she wasn't available. Took dogs to the vet when they had no one else to do it. And I have been a dog walker for about 5 years now. I have walked small dogs such as miniature poodles to bigger dogs such as pitbulls. Your furry friend will be in good hands. I'm currently working part time on Mondays through Fridays, but I have a flexible schedule. I'll feed and take the dog out in the mornings, and after work. During the weekend they'll have my fully undevivded attention through out the whole day I have a fenced in yard with several friendly dogs who will happily play with visitors. I also have some cats but they keep to themselves, lounging around in a separate room from the dogs. Your pets will mostly be under my watchful eye, for I will be home, most of the day watching them. “I couldn't be happier with the exceptional care provided by Matt during his week-long stay in my home. Hiring a pet sitter was stressful, but I couldn't be happier with the results. In the past I only allowed long-time friends to sit my pets. I didn't have that option this time. I am so happy I found Matt. He came to my home to meet me and my pets. I could tell right away he was a patient animal lover and was interested in getting to know and have a relationship with my pets. This first meeting provided me with some reassurance. Matt provided me with regular updates and great pictures while staying at my home and my stress level continued to decrease. Matt did a wonderful job caring for my home, my 3-year-old Golden, and my 2 house cats. While on vacation I even heard from a neighbor who met Matt and commented on how great he was with my Golden. She is now interested in using Matt as a pet sitter. Not only do I recommend Matt I want to thank him again for doing such a great job.”

“Brittany was absolutely wonderful. She kept us updated and sent pics of our dogs. With her staying at our home They were cared for so well ans we couldn’t be happier. Highly recommend Brittany to anyone looking for a dog sitter.”
“Kimberly was wonderful and such a great help at the last minute! She gave great updates and photos of my puppers day. Would highly recommend and look forward to using her again!”
“Denise was amazing and took great care of our maltipoo during our week long vacation. We were so worried about leaving him for the week and didn’t want to put him in a kennel. Denise exceeded all our expectations and we are so happy to have found her. I finally feel like we can go away without the stress of leaving him!”

I cannot recommend Allison enough! From the moment I dropped Leo off, I knew he was in wonderful hands. She kept me updated throughout my trip with frequent messages and adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my little boy was happy and well cared for. Allison and her husband, Anthony, have such a warm, welcoming home, and it was clear that Leo felt safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved while he was there. Leo is a shy cat, so seeing him relax and settle in meant the world to me. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were their own, Allison is exactly the person you want. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and I know Leo will be excited to go back. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of my baby!

So this was my first time using the app and I can’t express how amazing Katalina was! Right upon meeting I felt so comfortable and safe with her watching my fur babies and staying in my home! I will definitely be reaching out again and am so thankful to have someone watch my dogs like they were her own! Thank you so much !!!

We recently had Nora stay over for our 2 dogs, Honey and Louise. She came and met us and the dogs beforehand. What a sweet young lady and our dogs warmed up to her immediately. She sent updates and pictures throughout. Honey is a nervous nelly and I was so relieved to see her sleeping on the bed with Nora, quite content. She left the place spotless. I can't say enough good things about Nora. She is the best!! <3

Lauren was absolutely incredible while staying at our home for a few days to care for our two dogs and cat. One of our pups required daily medication, and she handled it with total professionalism and care. She kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, and it was clear our pets were happy, relaxed, and well-loved the entire time. We came home to a spotless house and three content animals who clearly adored her. It’s such a relief knowing we can trust someone so responsible, kind, and attentive with our pets and home. We couldn’t recommend Lauren more highly. She’s a gem, and we’ll definitely be booking her again!

Cordelia was absolutely amazing with Gracie! She was incredibly attentive, followed all of our instructions to a tee, and gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. She consistently checked in and sent photos, which we really appreciated—it was such a comfort to see Gracie happy and relaxed. It was clear she was well cared for and truly loved. We’d gladly book with Cordelia again—highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Spring Valley on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 12,315 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Spring Valley. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Spring Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Spring Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Spring Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
