“We booked Evgenii to dog sit in our home for 10 days while we went on vacation. Our previous dog sitter canceled and Evgenii was very accommodating for a last minute booking. We met him a few times for walks prior to this so our dog would become familiar with him and our dog absolutely loved him. She got so excited each time he came by for a walk which was so reassuring for us. Throughout the 10 days we had constant communication, received regular updates and was very responsive any time we reached out. We really appreciated this communication and it was so nice to see our dog was happy. We also returned home to a very tidy and clean house. We are so happy to have found Evgenii and we will most definitely be using his services again going forward.”

“Vanessa, thank you so, so much for taking great care of our pup. This was our first long time away from him and we’re as happy to see him as he is to see us. Thanks for all the great communication along the way.”

About: I am 24 years old and a teacher! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds and ages for 10 years. I have done overnight sitting, stop in visits, frequently or daily walks, vacation sitting, and so much more. I am available most days in the Summer and happy to help out! I also have two dogs of my own (both cockapoos) one is 13 and the other is 5! Because I am a teacher, I am off for the summer. My daily and weekly routines can be easily adjusted based on your pets needs/schedule. I am happy to play with your pet either inside or in a backyard (if it is fenced in), take your pet on long walks, and make sure he/she has everything they need.
“Jennifer was amazing at taking care of our babies and home while we left town for a week to visit family! They usually take awhile to warm up to people but they seemed to adjust fine and happily with her company which made me feel so relieved!! I was so happy with all of the pictures and updates since it was our first time leaving them for such a long trip, we would definitely love to have her come back and visit Charlie & Henry again :)”

“Kimberly was wonderful and such a great help at the last minute! She gave great updates and photos of my puppers day. Would highly recommend and look forward to using her again!”
“Kevin did a great job watching Rocky. We were very nervous having never left him alone before but Rocky did very well. Kevin stayed in our home overnight . I would definitely us Kevin again for a longer stay next time.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Paige. She was extremely kind and caring toward our pups and took great care of them for the weekend we were away. She also was super communicative and gave us consistent updates about how our dogs were doing and how their days went, complete with picture updates as well. Which I really appreciate. She is an amazing pet/house sitter and if she is available, book her IMMEDIATELY! We will 1000% be booking Paige again!”

About: I’m a past doggie daycare worker and have lots of experience taking care of small, medium, and large sized dogs. I love them as if they’re my own children - I have experience with senior care (giving medication, paying attention to their eating habits, doing whatever I can to make their experience the most comfortable). If you have any questions feel free to reach out! I'm only working part-time so I have lots of time to spend with your doggies! I'm available most days, just reach out and we can chat on what works best for you. :) When I go to your home, I can guarantee I will treat your dog with the utmost respect, and spend time and care for your pet as if they were my own.
About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lovers with a deep passion of caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). Every pet deserves the best care possible, and that’s what I promise to provide. Whether you’re going away for a day or a week, I will treat your furry family member as if they were our own. I’d love to meet your pets and help you feel at ease while you’re away!
About: I have such a big heart for animals and a connection to them with a passion for taking care of any type of animal! I grew up taking in rescues with my family at home. We have rescued a senior yorkie, four kittens, and a deaf kitty. I currently have one 4 year old maltipoo at home and one goldfish! In the past we had fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, and lizards at home. Throughout the years I love participating in anything involving innocent fur babies. For two years I pet sit my sisters french bulldog with GI issues and my brothers cat. At the same time I was in a P.A.W.S (protecting animals without stability) club in high school. I currently volunteer at two animal shelters since 2022. After high school I pursued an associates degree in Biology while participating in a veterinary assistant program. I graduated the program and continued on to getting my first full time job at a veterinary hospital as an approved veterinary assistant! Therefore, I have knowledge on animal anatomy, sickness and care procedures. I plan to complete my Biology degree while working full time and helping to take care of your fur babies 💗 I am currently in school pursuing a science degree while working part time at a hospital. I pet sit, house sit and dog walk. I am available weekdays and weekends for any help you need with your fur babies. I am very flexible and work around school to continue my passion of animal care. I will make sure to socialize and spend quality time your pets. I will take them on energetic walks and make sure they are fed and comfortable!
“Hadija was an amazing sitter! My dog is very afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks and Hadija made sure to comfort him and make him feel safe. She also provided a lot of updates and left our house in perfect condition. I would definitely book with her again!”

“Calli was great and did everything as instructed, she was our first experience with Rover and did great with our two dogs and cat. It was great to enjoy vacation without worrying about our pets with Calli there watching them.”

“I couldn't be happier with the exceptional care provided by Matt during his week-long stay in my home. Hiring a pet sitter was stressful, but I couldn't be happier with the results. In the past I only allowed long-time friends to sit my pets. I didn't have that option this time. I am so happy I found Matt. He came to my home to meet me and my pets. I could tell right away he was a patient animal lover and was interested in getting to know and have a relationship with my pets. This first meeting provided me with some reassurance. Matt provided me with regular updates and great pictures while staying at my home and my stress level continued to decrease. Matt did a wonderful job caring for my home, my 3-year-old Golden, and my 2 house cats. While on vacation I even heard from a neighbor who met Matt and commented on how great he was with my Golden. She is now interested in using Matt as a pet sitter. Not only do I recommend Matt I want to thank him again for doing such a great job.”

“We had a fantastic experience with Micaela! We decided on a spontaneous 3-day vacation and needed someone reliable to care for our two dogs — and she absolutely delivered. Micaela covered three long 11-hour shifts and took such great care of our pups. Our dogs were happy, calm, and clearly felt safe and comfortable the entire time. She was also respectful and kind with my dad, who was home during the visits, and made sure everything ran smoothly. We came home to relaxed dogs and peace of mind — couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommend Micaela to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter!”

Evgenii was absolutely wonderful with my three dogs! He made sure they were let out throughout the day, fed them, gave them treats, and spent time playing with them outside. He was very attentive and caring, and I loved receiving multiple photos and videos throughout the day. He also consistently checked in and kept me updated, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend Evgenii and would happily have him care for my dogs again!

I cannot recommend Allison enough! From the moment I dropped Leo off, I knew he was in wonderful hands. She kept me updated throughout my trip with frequent messages and adorable pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind knowing my little boy was happy and well cared for. Allison and her husband, Anthony, have such a warm, welcoming home, and it was clear that Leo felt safe, comfortable, and genuinely loved while he was there. Leo is a shy cat, so seeing him relax and settle in meant the world to me. If you’re looking for someone who will care for your pet as if they were their own, Allison is exactly the person you want. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again, and I know Leo will be excited to go back. Thank you both for taking such amazing care of my baby!

Lauren was absolutely incredible while staying at our home for a few days to care for our two dogs and cat. One of our pups required daily medication, and she handled it with total professionalism and care. She kept us updated with thoughtful messages and photos, and it was clear our pets were happy, relaxed, and well-loved the entire time. We came home to a spotless house and three content animals who clearly adored her. It’s such a relief knowing we can trust someone so responsible, kind, and attentive with our pets and home. We couldn’t recommend Lauren more highly. She’s a gem, and we’ll definitely be booking her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Browntown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Browntown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Browntown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
