Georgette is the best. As a repeat customer, I can also say that she continues to be the best! We've hired her for in-house overnight dog sitting for our pack of four dogs, on at least 3 separate occasions and we wouldn't hesitate to book again and again with her. She's super professional, communicative, respectful and goes above and beyond when she's with our dogs. She's earned our trust and we hope to continue to work with her in the future. Don't hesitate to go with Georgette for any of your pet care needs!

Vanessa, thank you so, so much for taking great care of our pup. This was our first long time away from him and we’re as happy to see him as he is to see us. Thanks for all the great communication along the way.

Jennifer was amazing at taking care of our babies and home while we left town for a week to visit family! They usually take awhile to warm up to people but they seemed to adjust fine and happily with her company which made me feel so relieved!! I was so happy with all of the pictures and updates since it was our first time leaving them for such a long trip, we would definitely love to have her come back and visit Charlie & Henry again :)

About: Hi there! I’m a lifelong animal lovers with a deep passion of caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up surrounded by cats, dogs, and plenty of other furry (and not-so-furry) friends taught me how much love and care they deserve. My top priority is always making sure your pets are happy, healthy, and feeling loved. From feeding routines and walks to cuddle time (or just calm company for the more independent types), I make sure each pet feels comfortable and cared for according to their unique personality. I love keeping pets engaged with fun, stimulating activities. For cats, that might mean interactive toys, puzzle feeders, or laser play. For dogs, it’s usually games of fetch, tug-of-war, or a good old-fashioned frisbee toss. Even reptiles get the same thoughtful attention (maybe less cuddling, but plenty of care and respect!). Every pet deserves the best care possible, and that’s what I promise to provide. Whether you’re going away for a day or a week, I will treat your furry family member as if they were our own. I’d love to meet your pets and help you feel at ease while you’re away!

Mia was a wonderful pet sitter for our 2 dogs and 2 cats while we were away for 3 days. They absolutely loved her! Every picture she sent showed one of the pets snuggled with or licking her (or the kitties climbing on her back!) and they always looked very comfortable and happy. Mia sent a bunch of pictures several times each day, which made it reassuring to know that our pets were getting great care and attention all day long. We appreciate the time and care she gave our pets and will happily book her to watch them the next time we travel.

I couldn't be happier with the exceptional care provided by Matt during his week-long stay in my home. Hiring a pet sitter was stressful, but I couldn't be happier with the results. In the past I only allowed long-time friends to sit my pets. I didn't have that option this time. I am so happy I found Matt. He came to my home to meet me and my pets. I could tell right away he was a patient animal lover and was interested in getting to know and have a relationship with my pets. This first meeting provided me with some reassurance. Matt provided me with regular updates and great pictures while staying at my home and my stress level continued to decrease. Matt did a wonderful job caring for my home, my 3-year-old Golden, and my 2 house cats. While on vacation I even heard from a neighbor who met Matt and commented on how great he was with my Golden. She is now interested in using Matt as a pet sitter. Not only do I recommend Matt I want to thank him again for doing such a great job.

About: I am 24 years old and a teacher! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of all kinds and ages for 10 years. I have done overnight sitting, stop in visits, frequently or daily walks, vacation sitting, and so much more. I am available most days in the Summer and happy to help out! I also have two dogs of my own (both cockapoos) one is 13 and the other is 5! Because I am a teacher, I am off for the summer. My daily and weekly routines can be easily adjusted based on your pets needs/schedule. I am happy to play with your pet either inside or in a backyard (if it is fenced in), take your pet on long walks, and make sure he/she has everything they need.

About: Dog mom of a 5 year old cooker spanish, lover of walks, fun hikes, games, and I'm not afraid of hair all over my clothes. About: I provide a lot of love and care towards the animals I look after so you can feel peace of mind that your pet is attentive hands! I have many years of experience in pet and house sitting, from just over a weekend to over two months of long term care. I love animals and would love to snuggle with yours! I work from home so I have a lot of flexibility with pet sitting, it lets me be around all day to let out to potty, walk, give pets etc I don’t currently offer boarding in my home at this time due to the allergies of other people in my home. Maybe in the future!

Evgenii was absolutely wonderful with my three dogs! He made sure they were let out throughout the day, fed them, gave them treats, and spent time playing with them outside. He was very attentive and caring, and I loved receiving multiple photos and videos throughout the day. He also consistently checked in and kept me updated, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I would definitely recommend Evgenii and would happily have him care for my dogs again!

FAQs for House Sitting - South Old Bridge

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in South Old Bridge on Rover is $45.72 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 10,438 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across South Old Bridge. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred South Old Bridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in South Old Bridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Old Bridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in South Old Bridge. On Rover:

  • 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
