About: Furbabies are a priority when in my home. They get a lot of TLC and attention while here. They are not left alone and are allowed to adjust to the new environment at their own speed. They are treated as my own. Since 2012, I have fostered (both temp and long term) and transported for rescues more than 200 cats and all kinds and sizes of dogs --young, old, big, small, scared, skinny, pregnant, sickly, healthy, etc. For several years, I ran my own rescue. As a result, I am aware of the needs of our furbabies and the need to listen to the furparent and watch the behavior of the furbabies. Retirement allows me to be home most of the time (including holidays) so your furbaby would fit right in with my schedule. I go out usually a couple times a month which can be scheduled when I am free. Therefore, I have time to pamper your furbaby. Your furbaby will be treated as a family member with their safety as number 1 priority. I have a fenced yard, and I have crates if needed. My dogs are friendly, but I keep them separated from newer or visiting dogs. In the house, I have rooms separated by gates. So a visiting furbaby would be in the living room mostly. If I go out and work, I let them out with me to run the yard (once adjusted) or they can be placed in an outdoor kennel to enjoy some fresh air. In the yard, I use beneficial nemotodes and diatomaceous earth in the yard, no poisons. In a new environment, when I let dogs out back, I keep them on a leash or put in one of the kennels until I feel they are comfortable enough to run the yard, but with supervision. No foster or visiting dog has been left outside alone. In transferring the furbabies from home to vehicle, I always double leash. In a client's home, I would be the same with them as I am with my own furbabies.
About: I have a huge heart for animals - I've pet sat and had dogs all growing up, volunteered at the Animal Humane Society, often pet sit for my friends, and currently volunteer at SPCA Dallas. I've fostered for a local shelter over the past few years and successfully found homes for 7 different puppies (as young as 5 weeks). I'm lucky to have 2 rescue pups of my own who love other dogs. I currently work full time from home and am home most of the time on weekends. Outdoor fun/potty breaks are multiple times each day in our large fenced-in yard, with at least 1 walk per day when weather permits. We have 2 fur babies (both under 25lbs. each) who love playing with other dogs, and also love just cuddling on the couch with us. My husband (also loves dogs) and I have a big fenced-in yard in a safe neighborhood - our fur babies are out playing in the enclosed yard at least 4x per day, with lots of cuddles and playtime in between. When it's not too hot, we'll usually take them on a walk or to the dog park as well.

About: I have taken care of small pups and cats for 2 yrs. I come to love them as my own!!!!! I take care of them the way I would want someone to love and care for my animals. I work part time so I'm very flexible and available!!!! I am also available 7 days a week. My schedule allows me to be fully committed. I live in an apartment and there is a dog park for me to take the furbabies for exercise and fresh air!!! I am currently working from home so I have plenty time to make sure they are walked and also that they have the proper exercise. I make sure they are leased and protected. Also there is a doggy park in my apartment complex where we can go enjoy some doggy activities!

In the rescue world, there are two components essential for success: reliable fosters and volunteer availability at a moments notice. Terry has been essential in both of these categories. She has never hesitated to help us (and other rescues) when we needed a dog picked up at the shelter or when we needed last minute transport across town or when we sent someone to her house at 2 a.m. to pick up a dog she was fostering to be transported out of state. With Terry - it's all about the individual dog. She has fostered (dogs and cats) for us for hours on some occasions and for several weeks on other occasions. We specifically have her foster when a dog needs to recuperate from an injury or abuse, or when a dog or cat requires TLC and time to learn to trust humans. Terry follows instructions without question, administers medication when needed, has vast experience with dogs of all breeds and sizes, and is trustworthy beyond measure.
