I grew up with cats from around age 4 through 18, and I’ve always had a special love for their personalities, quirks, and independent nature. While I don’t currently have a cat of my own, I would absolutely love the opportunity to spend time with them again! Different animals react differently with new people and different environments. If there's a shy dog, I like to let them come to me and lead with a gentle and dismissive approach. I would encourage them to play or come for pets, but I would not force it because that is not their comfort level. Another may be a big ball of energy and thrive on fun, pets, and praise.
