About: I have taken care of and loved pets my whole life, and have lots of experience with pet sitting as well including puppies and seniors. Experience includes feeding, walking, overnight stays, bathing, and administering any necessary medications that are part of their regimen. My promise is to provide quality care for your pet while you’re away, communication, and lots of belly scratches and love. I currently work full-time during the week. My availability is mostly weekdays after 5:30 and weekends. If needed on a Friday before 5:30, we can arrange something with enough notice. I can take care of your pet in your home, or do drop-ins when needed if it fits within my current availability. I can do whatever you need for your pet’s care and normal routine.

“Charlayda, or “Layda” recently took care of our 4 dogs—2 11-mo olds, who sleep in the garage, are trained to bathroom on puppy pads, and a 4 and 5 year old who are totally family members who sleep on beds, love the outdoors, and live to please people! We went away for a military graduation for 6 days, and were nervous to use a “service” but our friend could not stay here, so we took a leap of faith with Rover and Charlayda. When she came for a Meet and Greet 4 days before we were leaving, we immediately could tell we were with a lover of dogs, someone knowledable who all 4 dogs quickly “took to.” All of our fears about leaving went away as she asked questions and took the time to get to know specifics about all 4. While away, we received photos, videos, and texts as requested. When we returned home, all the dogs were calm, happy, sat for treats better than before!, and we could just tell that Layda had earned an A++++ in every way. We never thought we could leave all of them. We were proved wrong!! She’s superb. We’re now thinking about a weekend away, something we considered impossible before!! We’re so grateful!!”

I’ve had dogs my entire life and have two years of professional experience working in a dog daycare creating an understanding of dog behaviors. I strive to make every experience as comfortable and enjoyable for your fur babies! I have met so many dogs with different temperaments and needs to create a positive experience while in my care. I volunteer with the local shelter and take out foster dogs all the time and I love advocating for them too! I am so passionate about animal welfare and ensuring pet parents have someone they can trust to take care of their precious babies. I am currently a full time college student with full weekend availability but Monday-Thursday I am usually out of the house during the day 7-4:30 while Fridays I have a half day of classes, if this something that is okay with you. I’m comfortable reading dog body language, handling energetic pups, and making sure every dog feels safe, cared for, and gets the exercise and attention they need. I work from home so I am able to spend all day with your pup. You never have to worry about if your dog is in good hands, I treat every dog as my own.
