“Dan is absolutely amazing—it honestly brings tears to my eyes thinking about how well he takes care of our dogs while we’re away. He’s reliable, thoughtful, and truly goes above and beyond. We couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter. Thank you so much, Dan!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for almost 10 years. I got my own first cat 6 years ago from the shelter, and kept going with a barn kitten, two puppies and then a 4 week old kitten off the side of the road. I’ve successfully crate trained both of my dogs and have had to administer medication to both dogs and cats. I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I’m home every day with our 2 dogs and 3 cats. I love being with my cats especially. My cats are very different, with different temperaments and different needs. My long term goal is to open a cat cafe that acts as a kind of foster home while the cats wait to be adopted! I am more than happy to spend time with your kitties, giving pets, feeding them, scooping litter, and especially playing with the kitties favorite toys! Anything to make your furry best friend a little more comfortable while they wait for you to come home! Additional instructions are always helpful too!

“Caroline is wonderful with my cats. I have never seen them approach a stranger like they did with her. She is calm and quiet- so important with skittish, untrusting cats. She did absolutely everything I asked her to do while I was away. I will have her take care of my babies every time I cannot.”

“Maegan was a pleasure to work with. My cats loved her and she was so kind to them. She also did the little “extras” around the house (deliveries, etc). I would highly recommend Maegan to anyone looking for a cat watcher.”

About: 7 years of loving your pets. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — not just as pets, but as companions, teachers, and joy-bringers. I’ve always felt most at peace when I’m surrounded by animals and nature. Whether I’m hiking a quiet trail with a furry friend by my side, playing fetch in an open field, or simply relaxing on a porch after a long day outdoors, I find happiness in the simple, grounded connection that dogs and the natural world provide. I value patience, kindness, and structure — all qualities that guide the way I care for animals. For me, caring for dogs isn't just a job — it’s who I am at my core. I am a dedicated and compassionate animal care professional with hands-on experience in canine enrichment, behavioral observation, and facility operations. At Woof Pack Pet Services in Boone, NC, I served as an Enrichment Counselor, Kennel Attendant, and New Hire Trainer, where I led tailored group enrichment sessions to promote dogs' mental well-being, trained new staff in safe and effective animal handling protocols, and developed individualized care plans for dogs with medical or behavioral needs. I also administered medications, monitored health changes, and maintained strong communication with both clients and veterinary professionals to ensure timely care. At Mills River Dog Camp in Mills River, NC, I expanded my leadership skills as a Shift Supervisor, managing the daily care of over 50 dogs, supervising staff, and implementing training and de-escalation strategies for anxious or reactive dogs. I’m experienced in maintaining detailed health and behavior records and have consistently prioritized both animal welfare and client satisfaction through attentive care, structured routines, and open communication. When you trust me with your pet, you're not just getting someone who knows how to follow instructions — you're getting someone who genuinely cares. I have extensive hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, including those with medical needs, behavioral challenges, or a little extra anxiety. I treat every animal with the same level of attentiveness, patience, and love that I would want for my own. I believe in clear communication, both with animals and their people, and I always aim to provide peace of mind through consistent care, safety, and respect. Whether your pet needs a playful buddy, a calm presence, or a structured routine, I’m here to ensure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Pet care is an integral part of my life and a true passion. Daily, I dedicate time to understanding and meeting each animal’s unique needs—whether it’s through enrichment activities, administering medications, or simply providing companionship and comfort. Over the years, I’ve developed routines that prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of pets in my care, balancing structured schedules with flexibility to respond to individual behaviors and health changes. Weekly, I continuously update my knowledge on animal behavior and care techniques to ensure the highest quality of service. I am now seeking to turn this dedication into a full-time career where I can combine my hands-on experience, love for animals, and commitment to their welfare to make a meaningful difference every day. I tailor my pet care approach based on the environment and individual needs of each animal. In my home, I create a calm, safe, and engaging space with plenty of enrichment activities, consistent routines, and close monitoring of health and behavior to ensure pets feel comfortable and loved. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I respect their established routines, preferences, and any specific care instructions. I focus on maintaining consistency to reduce stress, providing companionship, administering medications if needed, and keeping the environment clean and secure. Communication with the pet owner is key to ensuring their pet’s needs are met and any concerns are promptly addressed. My priority is always the well-being and happiness of the pet, adapting my care style to create a positive, trusting experience whether at home or theirs.

About: I have never been without dogs in my life! My friends call me the "dog whisperer". No children in the home any more (all are in college or graduated), so we treat our canine guests as family with love and attention. I am working from home and have time to care for, play with, and take walks with your furry family members. My wife also works from home and loves dogs just as much as I do! I have two friendly dogs to keep your pup company. Your dog(s) would be treated as part of the family! They have free roam of the house except the bedrooms. We have pet beds in the living room and office for sleeping at night.

About: I grew up with family dogs and cats. You name it, we’ve had the breed. From chihuahuas, to huskies, to dobermans, to great danes. Therefore extremely comfortable with all sized fur babies. I have experience with all ages, from puppies as we have bred our great danes years ago, twice, to elderly dogs who are blind and/or deaf. etc. I actually have my own pup, she is a husky. Her name is cora and she is definitely a handful but i am blessed my hands are full with a smart, funny yet stubborn puppy haha. I also have cats, lazy fat house cats haha. I was looking for job opportunity that will allow me flexibility, work with fur babies (may or may not like them better then humans haha) and to be a mom to my 10 months old daughter as well, that is why i am pursuing Rover in hopes i can do it all at once. Looking forward to meeting your fur babies soon :) My pets daily care is naturally apart of my daily routine, she is family. Not just an animal. Animals cannot fend for themselves, it is important to me that my animals feel important, instead of a burden. My husky, Cora, is walked every two hours and fed two meals a day and has access to water 24/7. I am flexible to learn other animals schedules and eating times, as every animal is different.

“Casey was great with our rambunctious, high energy dog. He came to the house, timely. Spent time outside with him, playing fetch and wearing the dog’s derrière out, so when I got home, after long, 12 hour shifts, the dog was content. This helped minimize any destructive behaviors, I might otherwise have had from a high energy dog, after being cooped up for 13 hours. He even played in the rain with him. Highly recommend and will definitely use him again.”

Makenna L.
“I have had the pleasure of watch Makenna become a pet owner and have been around her ever since. She is one of the most caring and loving people in the world. She loves and cares for all animals. She rescued two of her own cats, one of them found on the side of the road. She immediately took the kitten into her home and made it one of the luckiest, most spoiled cats ever. She always is doing research to make sure they are getting the healthiest food for them, getting enough water, and making sure they are just overall in proper health. Her love for cats is so huge she one day wants to open a cat cafe to help cats get adopted. She would be an awesome pet sitter to any and everyone.”

“Teresa has been taking care of my cats for 10 years. The cats love her and enjoy her company. No matter what I ask, Teresa is willing to try. Recently on of my cats started chemo. I'm grateful to have Teresa as my cat sitter.”

“Stephanie cared for my little friend “puffy” for a week when I had to travel for a week for business. I couldn’t decide what the right decision should be ? Bring him , ask a friend or relative , look I got a dog hotel? But then I found rover and the availability matched me with Stephanie. Puffy and I were both very happy with our choice. She had great communication and from photos looked like a clean and fun environment for a dog or more. for my next travel I’d like to use Rover and hope Stephanie is available and if not someone like her”

Judith S.
“I have known Judith for over 12 years and can honestly state that her love for all animals is beyond question. Her care and love for her GSP, Dax, is without limits. The same can be said in regards to other animals. If a strange cat enters her yard, she immediately attempts to coax the cat closer so she can pet and comfort the animal. When her family has been over to visit, their dogs too get equal treatment as if they were hers. I know she takes the time to walk Dax more often than most. Judith is always attentative to the needs of the animal.”
