About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 3 years old and grew up with both dogs and cats in the home. I currently have a rescue dog that I’ve had for 10 years, and helping him work through separation anxiety, shyness, and reactivity has taught me so much about patience, consistency, body language, and building trust with animals. While I’m not a trainer, I’m happy to consistently reinforce routines, commands, enrichment activities, and calm leash practices that owners already use with their pets. I am retired and have a very well behaved female GSD under 2 years old. She is very good with other dogs and loves to play with them. We have a fenced yard at home. Still, I watch my dogs just in case. In spring/summer I check for ticks every time they go out. When we go on walks, I am always diligent when we pass another dog. I live in an condo so I don’t a yard but there’s a trail right behind the condos where I can take the dogs out for walk and i can also offer taking the dog(s) to the dog park if the owner allows me to. They will be leashed on the walks and i will follow certain restrictions and requirements depending on the dog and what their owner tells me.
