“Maria is just fantastic! She is very professional, so very kind and sweet. We received daily updates, pics and videos of our dog Micky. She even groomed him and trimmed his claws for us. Our dog was part of her family and we highly recommend Maria and we will happily use her again. Maria deserves more then 5 stars. ???”

“Caring and loving family. She kept me abreast of my pup being sad that we weren’t around, and continued to go out of the way to make sure he was ok, just sad. Don’t hesitate to have them watch your pups.”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life - my dog, Yogi, was truly my heart. He was handicapped and became very sick starting at the young age of 4. At that time, I was told he would not live long and was advised to consider euthanasia. Instead, I chose to care for him and support him through his illness, and he went on to live a full and happy life until age 12.5. Caring for a dog with special needs taught me patience, attentiveness, and how to recognize even subtle changes in behavior, comfort, or health. Because of that experience, I am especially comfortable caring for senior dogs, dogs with medical needs, or dogs who may require extra patience and compassion. I have two sons (ages 5 and 10) who are gentle, respectful, and have grown up around animals. We also have two cats, ages 3 and 1, who are very accustomed to a calm home environment. I love dogs deeply, but after losing Yogi, I haven’t been ready to get another of my own - so I figured Rover would be the next best thing until that time comes, because caring for others’ dogs is incredibly meaningful to me. I work fully remote, so I’m home all day and able to give your dog plenty of attention, walks, and outdoor time whenever they need it. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away! I also work fully remote, which allows me to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and frequent walks or outdoor breaks throughout the day. Your dog will not be left alone for long periods and will receive plenty of attention, care, and affection. My goal is always to make your dog feel safe, comfortable, and loved - just like family! I work fully from home, so I’m here throughout the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, and outdoor time. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to easily accommodate walks, feeding routines, and whatever each dog needs to feel comfortable and cared for! We live in a great, quiet neighborhood with a large front yard and a fully fenced-in backyard, which is perfect for safe outdoor time and play. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine, and I truly enjoy having dogs around and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. I care for every pet as if they were my own and make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure. In my home, pets have a safe, calm environment with plenty of supervision since I work fully remote. They’ll have access to a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor time, along with regular walks, playtime, and lots of attention and affection. I’m also happy to accommodate any specific needs, including feeding schedules, medications, or crate routines. My priority is always making sure pets feel safe, loved, and stress-free while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible!

“Danielle and her husband were absolutely amazing while watching our little guy (Jaxson) for a quick getaway this week. We were given constant updates/pictures, and he clearly made himself right at home and was as comfortable as can be. Communication was prompt from the beginning and we were truly at ease while we were away that he was receiving more than adequate care. Jax became quick friends with their pets, and was moping around when we got home because he clearly misses them! Could not recommend enough!”

“Great hosts for Herashio. All the family cared for him. They sent a picture every day and kept us updated on any events. They were flexible about scheduling the meet and greet, drop-off and pickup. Very fast responsive to all texts. Followed all care instructions. Highly recommended.”

“Sean and Jill were great with Jack. They clearly knew how to take care of senior dogs, and went above and beyond to make sure Jack got comfortable with them since this was the first time they had him, and kept me in the loop with how he was doing. Would definitely rebook with them.”

“Lori is great with our cats. She doesn’t just stop by to feed them; she brushes them and plays with them too. She goes out of her way to make sure their routine is maintained as much as possible while we’re away and we greatly appreciate it.”

“Araceli and Uciel did a fantastic job of watching my dog for a week. They took such wonderful care of him and sent pics\videos with updates every day. It was clear he had a grand time playing with their two dogs and being spoiled rotten. I will definitely be using them again when I go out of town.”

“Julie is super attentive, as soon as I put in my request for a visit she responded with her schedule. My pet is very shy , so to see that he took to Julie on her first visit was heart warming. Thank you Julie for taking care of Leo while I was away 💜”

“We had such a great experience with Mckenzie! From the very beginning, she was communicative, reliable, and clearly loves what she does. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing our puppy was in good hands. We also loved the photo updates. We came home to a relaxed, happy puppy, and that says everything. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter!”

“Cesar had a great visit with Sadie, Sadie was very informative asked questions regarding Cesar very professional looking forward to future visits and overnight stays with our Cesar”

“We just met Lacy a week or so ago and have found her to be extremely comfortable and responsible with my 18 year old diabetic cat. Lacy did not know how to do an injection but was more than willing to come over at my convenience to learn and bond with my frail timid cat, Winnie. We both felt very comfortable and secure leaving our “baby” in her hands. We receive daily reports that left is at ease! I love the photos of my Winnie and would highly recommend Lacy for anyone’s fur babies and now she can do medical injections so that’s a huge plus! Will be using her again and introducing her next to our two German shepherds! Thanks Lacy!”

About: I grew up with cats and adopted my own cat at 17, who was part of my family for 15 years. Caring for her taught me how important patience, attentiveness, routine, and trust are when it comes to cats and their individual personalities. I understand that every cat has different comfort levels and needs, and I always prioritize making them feel safe, calm, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits that include feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, affection (if your cat enjoys it!), and keeping routines as consistent as possible. I genuinely love cats and miss having one in my daily life, so I truly enjoy spending quality time with them and paying attention to their cues, behaviors, and overall well-being.
“Samantha did drop-in visits with our cats. Excellent communication, reliable, kept their food area and litter box cleaned, and took excellent care of them. Would definitely hire her again!!”

“I’ve been utilizing Jade for a while now, I think 2 yrs. She is consistent, reliable and great on following directions! I can go away with no worries when she’s on the job. She’s a real gem!”

“Hailey was truly exceptional! She took incredible care of our cat Mochi while we were on our honeymoon; not only making sure Mochi had food and some socializing while we were away, but she also brought in a few packages we had delivered while we were gone. She even made sure the litter box was clean when we got home. She sent lots of photos of our girl while we were gone and made the hardest part of the trip - leaving Mochi at home - a non-issue with how great she was. Thank you Hailey for everything!!”

“Alex was kind. Personable, and most importantly took fantastic care of my creatures. She left the apartment in the same shape I found it, and worked with me on the peculiar entrance and exit methods. Would 100% re book and I’m very thankful for her help.”

“Nora was great! She showed up on time and sent us photos of our cats with each visit. We very much appreciate that she took care of our cats, brought in our mail and watered our flowers. We will certainly use her services again.”

“This was my first time ever doing Rover, we left Piper, our golden doodle for around 8hrs with Wendy, she sent me videos and photos, Piper had a blast! We are definitely coming back.”

“Hailey was great. Coming from out-of-town to attend a family gathering, we could not meet her in advance, but our little maltipoo seemed comfortable with her right away and came out smiling after an afternoon with her and her dogs in her quiet, friendly neighborhood.”

“My dog bear loves going over to Alaina and Jake’s, and they love having him over! They’ve been able to work with my schedule, and take last minute bookings as well. I love that they send me pics of bear throughout the day and keep me updated. I know bears in good hands and safe at their house.”

“Though new to Rover, Maritza was very good with our 15 yo Havanese Cisco for doggy daycare. There were two larger and younger dogs present as well. She’s working from home now, so she can take the dogs on frequent walks. She will soon have a large fenced in yard…even better! I will definitely use Maritza again, for overnights too.”

“Ziggy had a great time spending the day with Jaylese for doggy daycare! They went on a nice walk and Ziggy came back happy and sleepy. She accepted my request last minute and was a breeze to work with - highly reccomend!”

About: I’ve taken care of pets, dogs of all sizes, cats. I’ve given medicine orally, and insulin shots. I have sat for pets for several years for family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. I love spending time with all animals between long walks, hiking, and just hanging out on the couch. I work full time but I telework several times per week. Weekends completely available. When I’m at the office my partner is home 24/7 so the pets will never be alone! I have a lead going from the back deck to the shed (across my whole yard) I have two very friendly dogs and cats. I can crate if needed & there is space available if your dog needs to decompress alone without other animals. I slowly introduce animals to make sure everyone coexists well. All dogs are fed separately to avoid any food aggression. We have an over sized, fully gated and covered back deck that the dogs can also hangout on with us safely.
About: I started my career as an animal rescuer and dog trainer, I am very personable when it comes to taking care of animals. I have taken care of range of animals, from newborns to full grown, from past 15 years and I believe that there’s nothing more rewarding than their love. I also prepare home-made organic food and treats for dogs and cats which are loved by them and appreciated by their parents. I have an expertise with animal behavior and nutrition as well. I like to give dogs a pee break every 3-4 hours. Walking, feeding, exercise and lot of cuddles will be given all throughout the day. At our house, all the dogs are treated as if they are my own babies. Treats are given as permitted by parents. I have spare new blankets and toys for all dogs, unless you bring/prefer your own. Please feel free to ask for anything that’s not mentioned. (shower and grooming can be provided at extra cost) When boarding dogs at my home they will have space to roam around in the house (wooden floor) and I can take them for long/short walks as needed/recommended. I always walk dogs on leash and the duration of walk will be set by the pet parents. I love spoiling my fur guests with toys (with permission). When boarding your pet overnight, I encourage sending them with a blanket with your scent as it makes the separation easy on your fur babies. The environment in my house is nothing but love and we are soft spoken people so there’s no loud noise in the house ever. The surrounding area is very safe and very nature oriented. We have sidewalks which are well maintained year round. And since it’s a gated community, you can feel the ease with your pet security. I have taken care of over five dozen dogs and every dog loved our place. Most even feel sad when they leave.
About: I’ve rescued dogs since I was young, grew up with dogs my entire life and have a dog of my own now. I’m always willing to make a new friend since I enjoy their company and taking them out or just spending time with them indoors. Always happy to take care of yours!! I’m currently home during the summer and work from home so I can be pretty flexible with taking the dogs out to the park or for a walk since I can give them the attention they need. I live in an condo so I don’t a yard but there’s a trail right behind the condos where I can take the dogs out for walk and i can also offer taking the dog(s) to the dog park if the owner allows me to. They will be leashed on the walks and i will follow certain restrictions and requirements depending on the dog and what their owner tells me.
About: Hi, I’m Luz 🤍 I’m a proud dog mom to two fur babies: my sweet 4-year-old Cavapoo and my playful 1-year-old Toy Poodle. They are my world, and that love naturally extends to every dog I welcome into my home. I do things a little differently here. I keep my clientele small and intentional. I believe every dog deserves focused, genuine care, not just a place to sleep. The families I work with aren’t just clients, they become part of my family. That’s the kind of relationship I’m here to build. What your pup can look forward to 🐾 From the moment they arrive, they’re surrounded by love. My two boys are friendly, social companions who make every stay feel comfortable and fun. We have a private fenced dog park right at our building, so there’s plenty of space to run, play, and be a dog, every single day. I’m also an active walker, averaging 50+ miles a month, so your pup will always be well exercised and happy. When it’s time for a little pampering, I offer a full dog wash including shampoo/ whitening shampoo, CHI detangling spray, brushing, blow dry, and a finishing perfume so they go home looking and smelling their best. 🛁✨ (Dog wash is available as an add-on for an additional fee.) Pet laundry is included by request. Their blankets, beds, and favorite things go home as fresh as they do. Throughout every stay, you’ll receive real-time photos and updates! Peace of mind matters just as much as the care itself. Services offered: 🐶 Dog Boarding 🐶 Dog Walking 🛁 Dog Wash (add-on) 🧺 Pet Laundry (included by request) 📍 Meriden, CT | Meet & greets are available by request for shorter stays. M&G’s are required before booking for longer stays to ensure a healthy and playful environment. ⚠️ NO CATS — no exceptions. Whether it’s a long afternoon walk, an evening stroll, or a cozy night in, I’m always present and available. I genuinely love being home with my babies, so boarding fits perfectly into my lifestyle. Your pup isn’t coming to a business, they’re coming to a home where someone is there, all day, every day. 🤍 The safety of every dog in my care is something I take seriously and never compromise on. All dogs are kept on harnesses and leashes during walks and outings. Free roaming is only permitted within our private fenced dog park. Socialization with other dogs is handled with care and only takes place with prior approval from the pet parent. Feel free to message me for more details before booking. 💌

“Michelle and her husband are wonderful. I am so lucky to have found such kind and caring people to take care of my dog. They send picture updates throughout the day which is nice to have and provide a doggie "report card" at the end of the day as well. I know my dog is in good hands when I drop him off. I would highly recommend them.”

About: Hi paw friends 🐾 I am somewhat new to Rover but I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I have always helped my family and friends care for their animals and I always enjoyed doing it. My husband and I got married four years ago and our little girl is three. It's so amazing to see her interact with the dogs because she gets more comfortable and happier each time. My husband and daughter are my best pet helpers when I am not around. Our family loves dogs and we will eventually get a dog when the time is right, but I love Rover because it’s give me the opportunity to still bond with pups. I truly love being around animals. Our families sometimes come to stay with us with their dogs and I get a crazy burst of happiness every time. Life is just better with a dog around and I would love to care and help with your pups! :) I know it can be tough trusting your animals in others hands but rest assured that your pet will be in great hands with me & I will send plenty of updates and pictures 📸🐾 I currently work part time (every weekend). So I am free to take care of your pups during the week and still on weekends when I’m home. My amazing husband and daughter are my best pet helpers when I am not around. I still offer some services on the weekends. I will care for the pet how the owner(s) want me to care for them. They will always bed fed, hydrated, clean, warm, and the happiest they can be in our home. Our home isn't that big so someone is always around. I am not much of an out-going person, I do have a good amount of friends but they all come to my house since I am the mama of the group :)

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 3 years old and grew up with both dogs and cats in the home. I currently have a rescue dog that I’ve had for 10 years, and helping him work through separation anxiety, shyness, and reactivity has taught me so much about patience, consistency, body language, and building trust with animals. Through working with a professional dog behaviorist, I’ve also learned techniques for building confidence, reinforcing commands, improving leash behavior, and helping dogs feel more comfortable and engaged. While I’m not a trainer, I’m happy to consistently reinforce routines, commands, enrichment activities, and calm leash practices that owners already use with their pets. I’m very attentive to pets’ cues, comfort levels, and safety, and I understand that every animal has a different personality and needs a different approach. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets over the years because I genuinely care about making animals feel safe, comfortable, loved, and understood. I also enjoy keeping dogs mentally and physically engaged through walks, playtime, sniff mats, enrichment activities, and practicing basic commands when appropriate. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to provide pets with lots of attention, exercise, potty breaks, enrichment, and companionship throughout the day. I’m primarily focused on walks, drop-ins, daycare, and daytime pet care, and I truly enjoy helping pets feel comfortable, engaged, and safe while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has different energy levels and needs, and I’m happy to accommodate routines involving walks, playtime, sniff mats, feeding schedules, medications, crate routines, and basic commands when appropriate. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I pay very close attention to body language, stress cues, energy levels, and overall behavior to help pets feel safe and comfortable in my care. I currently have two potty-trained dogs in the home who are friendly with other dogs. Pets receive lots of supervision, affection, exercise, and engagement throughout the day. I also understand the importance of slow introductions, maintaining routines, and creating a calm environment, especially for shy or anxious pets

“Carly was very personable and punctual. It was the first experience with a walker for my dog Max, so he was a bit difficult but Carly was very patient and worked to bond with Max. I appreciate the service Carly provided and if I again have a need for a walker I will contact Carly.”

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats before I reached the age of double digits. Bruno was the first cat my family ever got, he was found in the rafters of our garage, he was so small he had to be nursed from a bottle. He won sweetest cat at the local library, and the next year we found Gus in our bushes on me and my twin brothers 6th birthday. We slyly convinced our mom he was a gift from God and we got to keep him! A couple years later, we dropped into the humane society and fell in love with a grey kitten, and of course, my brother and I pulled out our puppy dog eyes, and Junie B Fox Fire came home with us. It was a full house, three cats, two kids, and one mom. Eventually, it was time to convince my mom to get a dog. We ended up falling in love with a golden doodle and we named her Paisley. And finally, my brother and I felt satisfied with our Animal House. Our animals all lived long happy lives. Our three cats all passed away at 20, and Paisley at 16. They were always treated like family. Those 20 so years did not come without their scares. We had a few times the vet told us there was practically no hope, but Im convinced the love our family had for our animals bent reality, and every time, they were okay. Sometimes surgery was needed, other times just hope. But I am proud of the way I was raised to treat animals, and I thank my mom for that. In my 20s I moved in with my now ex fiance, and we got a dog together. An australian shepherd (I will adopt next time!), she was a puppy. We trained her, loved her, and I was her mom. Sprinkled through the years other cats entered our orbit as we took in family cats whose owner had passed. We became another animal house! unfortunately those cats were older so we got them on their ladder parts of life, and so when our apartment had no more cats, we decided it was time for a kitten! Together we raised our kitten Henry, and Aussie Skylo. I was their mom for about 7 years until we broke up, and tragically my ex stole them, and ran away with his mistress. There are no words for the black hole that left behind. It was right after the break up my family simultaneously lost three of our cats and our dog. Yes they lived a long life, but for the first time ever, I had NO animals in my care. I didn't know how empty that could feel! I don't want to make this a sob story, but I want to explain why you are just seeing a kitten in my photos. I moved to FL after the break up, and that is where I found Roary my now cat, who was 5 weeks old dodging cars in the middle of the busiest intersection in Fort Lauderdale. I was the only one on the ground to pick her up, I wasnt ready for a cat, but life did its life thing, and I am so blessed to have her by my side now. I am back in Connecticut, and ready for Rover! I am nurturing, thoughtful, attentive, and not to pat myself on the back.. but I do think I speak fluent animal. I would be so grateful for the opportunity to watch your beloved pet! I am currently free as a bird here in Connecticut. My availability is adaptable as I am in school and a part time substitute teacher. Safety always comes first. In your home, I follow your routine exactly; feeding, meds, and house rules. On walks I double check leashes, hold a tight grip, stay alert to traffic and other dogs, and never let your pet off leash. I'll send photo updates every visit so you always know your animal is safe and happy.

About: I have been dog and cat sitting for 4 years. I have 2 cats and a dog and I frequently dog sit for my neighbors! I am great with all ages of pets! I am currently a senior in highschool and I get out of school at 12:13 everyday. During the summer when school is out I have tons of availability. “Fiona was fantastic! Meet and greet first and got comfortable with the setup. She sent pics and updates as requested and I will be booking with her again soon. I could tell my dog Cal was very comfortable there both during and after.”

“We had a great experience with Kate! Our dog, Sampson, stayed in her home and was very well cared for. Communication was easy and consistent, and we felt completely comfortable knowing our pup was in good hands. Sampson is pretty easygoing, but it was clear he was treated with attention and kindness. We will definitely book with them again.”

“I can't say enough great things about our experiences with Jennifer. I've left my dog Peachy with her 3 times now, this last time being over a week. I got so many picture and video updates throughout and I could see how comfortable and happy my Peachy was. Jennifer and her daughter are so wonderful with her and I am very grateful to have found them. The peace of mind I have now while I'm away that my dog is well cared for is worth so much. Also, Jennifer was highly communicative and very flexible when my schedule needed to change last minute. I won't leave Peachy with anyone else now!!”

“Karen was outstanding caring for our dude while we were gone. She sent pictures daily and treated him like her own. She helped us feel completely comfortable and we are excited to utilize her in the future. We can’t be more thankful for finding her so close to us!”

“Cassandra did an amazing job caring for our 4 year old English bulldog for 8 days. Our bulldog is quite stubborn with several medical conditions and she administered all medications and went above and beyond so we can travel without him for the first time in 4 years. Cassandra sent us daily updates and was very quick to respond to us and helped put our minds at ease while away.”

“Kathryn and Jeremy were great, can't recommend them enough. They were extremely communicative both before Bella's stay and during, updating us with pictures etc throughout the day. The couple are very well versed in dog behavior/needs and asked all the right questions to make us feel confident Bella was going to be well cared for and safe. When we picked Bella up she was very comfortable in their home and was resting with Kathryn and Jeremy. If you are looking for trustworthy couple to watch your pup with love and attention, this is it!”

“Careen was wonderful with our senior dog and he loved her just as much as she loved him! She gave him lots of love and attention- I could tell he was very well cared for while we were away. We got lots of pictures and updates so I was completely at ease. We can’t wait to have Careen watch Shadow again!”

“This was our first time using Rover and it worked out great! We got so lucky with Ruth and will definitely look to book with her in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of Kobe!”

“Maggie was so great with our dog while we were away for a weekend. He was well taken care of and we loved receiving photo updates each day while we were gone. We would highly recommend Maggie to anyone who needs boarding/doggy day care”
