“Everything went smoothly with doggie daycare with Erin. She considerately slowly introduced Pepper to her furry friends and helped him acclimate. She also sent message updates and pictures through his stay. Definitely will book with her again!!”

“Anne provided great day care for my dog Rusty. She sent me pictures during the day and gave me a full report when I picked him up. Rusty seemed like he had a full day when I picked him up. He was happy, so we were happy. Thanks, Anne!”

“Denise and Brett were fantastic! They looked after our two dogs, who both have no shortage of quirks and personality. They are very knowledgeable about dogs, incredibly patient and understanding, and are very responsive and thorough communicators. We would fully recommend their services!”

About: ✔️Availability: July 10 - Nov 30, 2026 Hi 👋 New here! I am a passionate animal lover and am experienced sitting all kinds of dogs and cats all over the US and abroad. Over the past few years, my husband and I have been traveling across the US taking care of dogs and cats (on TrustedHouseSitters) and seeing this beautiful country. We are residents of Venice, Florida and as much as we wish to own pets, the travel-bug in us prevents us from doing so. Hence, I signed up for Rover! Traveling or not, I wish to spend most of my time in the healing company of animals, so I am here to make more new furry friends while looking after them! (Please see the screenshots of some of my THS reviews on my Rover profile - I have 20+ 5-star reviews on THS) I work from home so I can care for your pet in my home any day of the week. I am also available to house sit if my schedule permits. I live in Gran Paradiso. My home is spacious and backyard is framed with a lanai, so your fur baby will be completely safe here. We also have beautiful grounds for walking dogs. I have a flexible work schedule and can attend to your pet as per your requirement. Happy to discuss your pet’s routine and specific needs to ensure best care is provided for your fur baby.

About: I’ve had pets since I was a young girl. There was always a dog and cats in the house, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I recently lost my dog to old age, and I really miss that daily companionship, which is why I’d love to help care for other people’s pets. I’ve pet sat for friends, family, and neighbors over the years, and now I’m ready to open that up to more families. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I have two cats of my own. I’m patient, attentive, and I treat every pet like they’re my own—making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m reliable and easy to communicate with, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’m home most of the day, so I have a flexible schedule and can give your pet plenty of attention and care. I do have two kids, so with a little advance notice I’m happy to plan ahead and make sure I’m fully available for your pet’s needs. I’m an active person and enjoy going on walks, so dogs will get plenty of movement and time outside. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, and sitting during the week and weekends, and I can adjust to your pet’s routine to keep things consistent and stress-free. I have a fenced backyard, and pets are always supervised when they’re outside. Most of the day they’ll be with me, so they’re not left alone for long. I handle all feeding, walks, and care myself to keep things consistent and done right. I have two cats that are indoor and outdoor. They’re friendly and used to being around other animals, but they mostly keep to themselves and won’t bother your pet. My home is calm, clean, and safe. My kids are gentle and love animals, and I always make sure interactions are respectful and supervised. I treat every pet like my own and do my best to make them feel comfortable and at home while you’re away.

“So grateful for Ray and Randy! They were able to take our Ollie for a few hours today so that we could enjoy Easter dinner with at my very allergic brother's house. Ollie slept there which meant he felt comfortable. Ray and Randy were so calm and gentle with him. Highly recommend them and will definitely book again. Thank you!!!!”

About: I have grown up with dogs, most of my life. We currently have one dog, named Willow. She is SPOILT! Willow is a 4 year-old, spayed Goldendoodle (29 pounds) and very friendly with other dogs. She loves company and can't wait to meet your furry family member :) I will spoil and love your baby as I do mine! We also have one cat, that keeps mostly to himself. I am a Stay-At-Home mom to two boys. Middle and High School aged. My husband works from home. Our family are big animal lovers. I am available all throughout the day and week to care for your pet! My schedule is very flexible. We are an active family that enjoys hiking, going to the beach, fishing, and regular walks in our neighborhood. We live in a quiet gated community. I am also available to come to your home to do checkups and tend to your pets. Whatever you would like - I can do! Your pets will be well loved, well exercised and well cared for while with me. I can work with whatever you would like (or don't like) for your pets. Clean Bedding and Toys Provided!
“I had a great experience with this sitter! They took such good care of my puppy Bear, and I could tell he was comfortable and well looked after the entire time. Bear is still young and full of energy, but they were very patient, attentive, and made sure he got plenty of care and attention. They also kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. When I picked Bear up, he was happy and relaxed, which showed me he had a great time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with them again for Bear! 🐾”

“Harleigh had the best day ever playing with the other doggies!!! We felt bad that we were running a little late to pick her up but Jeanne was so nice and accommodating and encouraged us to take our time. She sent us videos and pictures through out the day to see how much fun Harleigh was having. That really put our minds at ease.”

“We were very happy with the care Cosmo received from Barbara. She welcomed him into their home and treated him like their own. She’s very friendly and easy to communicate with. I will be using her again when the need arises.”

“If I could give Morgan a 10 star rating I would, because she not only was available at the last minute but she took so much care for Georgie! She took him for walks and even though he is deaf and very vocal with toys, she made his time with her so enjoyable. Thank you again for taking care of our furbaby.”

“Julia was phenomenal ! Both Scottie and Ollie had a great time ! Julia kept me posted with sending me lovely pictures of my fur babies. CJ her dog was also a really good dog. Thank you for taking care of them! We will definitely see you again and we recommend Julia 100%.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your South Venice commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
