About: Thank you for viewing my profile. Please read it in its entirety before sending a boarding request, as a lot of your questions can be answered in the text. The two questions i get the most are am I home all day with the dogs and how many dogs do you watch at one time? I am retired so except for running errands, etc, your dog(s) will be supervised at all times.I DO watch dogs from different households at the same time, having had as many as 8 Rover dogs at once If this is a concern I invite you to come down and meet us, to see how mellow and manageable it is, and how happy the dogs are to be in the company of other dogs. I never watch a dog without meeting it first so this ensures that everyone gets along and it's a good fit. My mom runs a no-kill animal shelter in Florida so I guess you could say it's in my blood. I currently have 2 dogs (the last dog i adopted was from an elderly Rover client who could no longer take care of him) but i've had as many as 4 at one time. Always small dogs, which is what I'm most comfortable with. I've adopted, loved and cared for dogs through all their stages of life, in "sickness and in health", so I'm quite aware of the quirkiness that comes with a dog that has a history. At the moment I’m not boarding puppies because my older dogs can’t handle all the high energy of the youngsters. Nothing brings me more joy than watching these little dogs come out of their shell during the stay. Their tail going from tucked, unsure, "what am I doing here", to full wag! Many owners have told me that when they get to the top of my hill their dog starts getting excited, they know they're coming to my house and they are happy about it. They march right up my steps with zero hesitation. They might not sleep with us on day one, but they almost always find their way into the bed by the time they leave. My goal is to have them feel like one of the pack, loved and secure, safe and happy. I recently retired after 40+ years in the hospitality industry so I will be home with your dog(s) day and night. There's nothing i love more than being in the company of dogs, so watching them is my passion. I will treat your dog(s) like my own. I live in the Arroyo's, a private beach neighborhood in Arbor Heights, West Seattle. I have a gate on the front door so the dogs can't run out if the door opens, though there's hardly any traffic where I live. I have a fully fenced in backyard, perfect for potty breaks and sunbathing. Your dog will never be left unattended in the yard .Inside I have dog beds throughout the house that move with the sunspot. I have cameras to watch the dogs when i'm not home (spoiler alert, they sleep), and WE HAVE AC!

“Julia was so sweet and accommodating for my first ever Rover experience with my puppy. She took such good care of my girl, was very flexible, attentive, and continuously updating so I knew she was adapting well. Will be a returning client!”

About: Hi! I’m Kelsey, a lifelong animal lover and work-from-homer based in West Seattle. I live in a house with a fully pet-friendly setup and a sweet terrier named Oslo. Oslo loves people and gets along great with other dogs. He’s especially good with shy or nervous pups and sets a great example. He enjoys dogs of all sizes and naturally picks up on whether it’s time to play or relax. I’ve cared for pets my whole life and understand the importance of routine, attention, and comfort. Whether your dog needs walks, belly rubs, or just a cozy home while you’re away, I’ve got you covered! I work from home and usually take my dog on two walks each day—one in the early morning and another in the afternoon. After work, I often visit the dog park or go for a long walk or run. I live in a quietly located house with a fully fenced and spacious backyard, ideal for visiting pups. Since I'm home the majority of the work week, I ensure that all dogs' special needs are met. I never leave dogs, mine or boarded guests, alone for more than 4 hours. They receive both physical and mental stimulation to help everyone sleep well at night.

“It’s so easy to write a glowing review for Growlerz Daycare. First it’s my dog’s favorite home away from home. I drop him off and he never looks back. The space is clean, well maintained with a staff that is friendly and experienced with many long-term team members. “I have 4 beautiful cats. It’s a lot of fun but also a lot of responsibility. Specially because they don’t get along all the time. We called Alejandra to babysit them for a whole week because we had a trip to New York. She was wonderful. She checked on them regularly and took care of each particular need. One of them was baby and on a separate room. She did great with the different foods and also send us pictures and videos of the cats. One of our cats is really shy but even her got a liking for Alejandra. I highly recommend her as a sitter.”

We recently moved, but when we lived in Seattle, she would come over 2-3x a week when my husband and I were both working and take him for runs or walks. She was great about letting us know when she arrived, left, and sending pictures of our pup to update us. Would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a pet watched or walked whether its just for a day or for a week; Willoughby loved her!”
