About: From dogs to turtles to birds. I grew up with animals all my life. I have my own puppy & 9-year old pup. I truly know the time it takes, walking/ exercising, food schedule, & love to give to both! Just started my full time career, but I have a flexible schedule most days! I’m open to early morning or evening in week days and all day weekends. I love love love animals, so I definitely want to incorporate pet sitting into my lifestyle; especially if it means I can help others during their travels & such. I know the value in crate training, potty/ food schedules if need be, being in a comfortable space for the dog, if you’d like for training- I can try the basics since I trained my pup.

“Katy is extremely sweet and treats the puppers (all ages and sizes) like her own. She even did a meet and greet before starting since my little one is more anxious and way of meeting new people. Super flexible and responsible, couldn't ask for a better sitter/walker!”

About: I have had pet dogs and cats my whole life, and they have always been a cherished part of my family. I currently live in a non-pet-friendly apartment building, so Rover gives me the opportunity to care for pets while I can’t have one of my own. I work at a warehouse on second shift, so I am gone in the evenings and head back home around 1am. When housesitting, I’m able to provide care to your pets during the day until I leave for work at 6. I will do my best to adhere to your normal routine with your pets, and ensure that they are exercised, fed, and pottied before I leave for work. It is my goal to adhere to your pets’ normal routine as much as possible. When I am watching someone’s pets for the first time, I request details about their schedule, eating and play habits, special quirks, etc so that I am prepared to give them consistent and attentive care.

“Amber is an amazing pet sitter. Not that you should do this but we booked her last minute and she was very accommodating and flexible. She worked with my other pet sitter and helped with a big task- catching and caring for our chickens bumblefoot. We even had an unfortunate event happen while we were gone and Amber cared for it. We could not be more grateful and couldn’t recommend Amber enough!!!”

About: I have always had a dog or two for pets during my life. I would not know how to be without one. I have just recently become a lover of cats, too. My son has 4 and I find myself wanting to visit them often. I look forward to coming home after work and seeing the joy in my dogs eyes that I bring them. I would love to bring that same joy to your pet. I would be available to visit your pet from 3pm to 10pm during the weekdays and I am open on the weekends. I would love them and care for them like they were my own. I am patient. I would love the opportunity to meet your pet! P.S. I do not have a Facebook account. I would rather spend my time with people, friends, family, my pets and animals. Please contact me through email. I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon! I work at the school as a librarian. I am available after 3 on weekdays, and all day on weekends. I am very flexible and reliable. I have a huge yard. I have a sweet little Morkie who would keep your dog company. I would provide security and love to your dog.

About: I have worked with animals at a doggy daycare and boarding facility, where we house dogs, cats, and even birds, bunnies, or hamsters. I worked there for two years, and I have grown up with & been around both dogs and cats my whole life. I am currently a full time college student but I have a lot of time after classes in the afternoon and evening, as well as free time on the weekends, to accommodate. I can provide treats, toys, and love to a client’s fur baby. I’m able to take dogs on walks and potty breaks, feed and administer medicine to both dogs and cats, crate a dog if needed, or snuggle up with a client’s fur baby.

“Kayla did a great job (again) of watching our two cats. Will definitely hire again.”

About: My name is Traci and I spent 22 years serving my country. I am now retired and spend all my time with my fur kids. I have been a volunteer with a local Lab Rescue in Denver, where I did adoptions, transports and I fostered dogs of all ages in my own home. I also have a small zoo of my own...(dogs, cats, fish) My family calls me the dog whisperer. I have always had a connection with animals and would love to continue giving back. I will come to your home and take care of your kids and house as if you were there. As a foster, I was responsible for training the dogs that were in my care before they go to their forever home. Recently, I have been training my own Lab as a Service Dog, that will be used for veterans that experience anxiety/panic attacks and even PTSD. Why I love dog sitting: I have been a dog lover my entire life. My parents got me a dog when I was 6 months old and his name was Pepper. I have always had dogs with me. I started volunteering with a local lab rescue because I felt like I could always do more for the animals. Fostering dogs in my own home, training them, showing them love them (some of them have never had that) and then I help get them adopted out to a family who will love them just the same. It was a rewarding hobby. Meet my pets: 3 cats 4 Dogs My experience administering medication: I am very comfortable with medications and administering them. I was a combat medic in the Navy, and I am currently a Wilderness EMT with over 20 years in the medical field. I am trained and certified in K-9 First Aid and CPR. Most recently I worked at a dog rescue in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (Barb's Dog Rescue). Working at a dog rescue, you see the worst cases of abuse and neglect. I was trained how to administer medications, IV's, Sub-Q fluids and give LOTS of love. Your fur kids are in good hands.

“Mikayla did a great job with my 2 girls. Thankful she could work the Christmas holiday to look after them”

About: I have had all types of animals my entire life. I had 3 cats in my childhood, then as I got older we had guinea pigs and fish. I was a volunteer at a local humane society for 6 years growing up. I then worked at Kendall County Animal Control as a Kennel Technician for over a year. Then I worked at a highly established Naperville Animal Vet for a year as a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist. I have been at PetSmart for over 4 years now. I am a active member of Renko Animal Rescue as a volunteer and foster. I specialize in alot of animal care, but if I had to specifically pick one, im a cat person. I do have alot of knowledge about dogs, such as medical, feeding, nutrition, excerise, and behavioral from all my past jobs/experience. I currently have 3 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 gerbils, a bearded dragon, a betta fish, and 30 exotic shrimp! I am currently full-time. But I do get to write my own schedules, so I can work around any needs. I can do morning and nights! My entire care will be completely based around your animals needs. I will ask how their normal day is, and I'd like to keep it very similar, so there's no stress or discomfort. But of course they will get lots of love, because who can resist their cute little faces!

About: Hello! I've always had lots of pets growing up and have a love for furry companions. They truly are the heart of the family! Many friends and family will lean on me to watch over pets when they leave town and I'm looking to extend this service out to the community around me. I love walking dogs, playing with pets, and just giving them company. I'm extremely flexible with my schedule since I am a grad student in physical therapy and can accommodate any needs. Open to dog/house sitting, cat sitting, walking, and will include lots of belly scratches to any pets- big or small! I would love to help out in any way I can to make sure your furry family member gets the best care they can get! I can't wait to meet your pets! Until May, I just have class M - F 8a-12p. From May 13 - July 10th, I will have clinical and be working 40 hours a week with varying start/end times. Completely free on weekends! Very comfortable with working in whatever environment your pet is most comfortable with. Experience with fences, invisible fences, lines, and crating. I’m extremely respectful of maintaining a home environment and keeping up with a pet’s normal daytime routine!

About: I have always had a special love for animals and their unique personalities. Currently I have dogs, cats, ducks, and a horse of my own and also have experience with rabbits and rats. Realistically there are not many animals that intimidate me as long as I have clear instructions for their care. I feel so lucky that friends, family and neighbors have trusted me with the care of their cherished companions and I cannot wait for the opportunity to meet new four legged friends in my community! I currently have a part time job that is quite flexible, so I will have plenty of opportunities to help with your critters. Please send me a message to discuss availability. There's nothing quite like the joy of when a four legged friend is happy to see me after forming a bond. My goal is to give your pet the same specialized care that you give them as well as serve as a source of enrichment in their life. I trust that you know your animal better than anyone, so I strive to follow any instructions you have for your pet. I have a small SUV that makes it easy to transport dogs of varying sizes. I am happy to stop in as needed to feed, water, walk, play and give your pet any special attention that they need. Your stop-in is completely customizable to fit the needs of your pet and lifestyle.

About: I worked at pet supplies plus and they require lots of training for all different pets to provide information on all different types of animals. I work full time some days I am remote. Looking for this to be a weekend thing but am open to any days I can. I am unfortunately not allowed to have pets in my apartment but I am open to driving taking pets to parks playing with pets and providing an enriching environment.

About: Dogs (and other pets) have been a part of my family since I was a child and we had our first Golden Retriever puppy, who was part of our life until he passed from age. Since having my own family, we have always had a dog in the house. I know the importance of having someone there to care for your dog overnight or just to have them cared for through the workday. Extra messes and regular messes are no problem, just a part of having a pet. Giving regular medicine and care is also an important part of providing for the needs of a pet. I have done dog training with all the dogs we have had and will learn your system as well as be a confident and caring sitter. Pet care is my current summer job, I am available most nights, and would have the availability to provide care throughout the day during the week, depending on travel distance. When caring for my pets we prioritize play and attention given to them. We have used fenced yards and long lead leashes before as well. Caring for other's pets I pay attention to their routines and preferences, what works for my dogs and pets does not always work for others so learning about their needs is key. Pets need love, routines, and consistency, and when I care for others following the instructions and needs of the family is what I will strive to carry out.

About: I've taken care of my own 3 cats and have been trusted by neighbors and family members to housesit with their animals for long periods of time. I'm currently working 3 days a week at Paradise Car Wash in Yorkville IL, with my open schedule I will have plenty of time to take clients. I will make sure that in my clients home I'm aware of any dangers that could be presented in any scenario, I will keep all animals healthy and out of harms way while in my care.

Over 9 pet parents in Somonauk have booked cat sitting
Somonauk cat parents share their Rover experiences
Renee was a great cat sitter. If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. We will definitely book her to watch our cats next time we are out of town. Renee had great communication from the start to the finish. She always left us detailed messages about how our cats were doing and sent dozens of pictures of them, which is really comforting while being away from our cats. Renee went above and beyond; she played with our cats and spent time connecting with them. It was such a relief to know that not only were the cats being fed and watered, but they were receiving attention every day that we were gone. Thank you so much Renee!

Great, excellent, A1, if your on the fence, dont worry about anything. She is the one to book for taking care of your pet. She went above and beyond. Made sure everything was right. And kept my cat well taken care of. I highly, highly recommend. 5 stars isint enough she should get 10 stars.
