About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs from small to medium large dogs. Learning every individual personality and various needs is something I always take into consideration with every client! I am currently working part time but have a flexible work schedule. Days I do work my other job I am available in the mornings only but other days available all day! In my clients home I ensure to do a meeting first to get to know your animal and your preferences when feeding, dietary needs, and the location of care needs for the animal. Pictures along with a report on how your furry friend did will also be included at end of services!

About: I have plenty of experience with pets. I’ve helped my family take care of their furbabies by providing comfort, love, and care. I’ve owned 2 cats in my entire life time and 2 doggies so I have experience taking care of both. I will be available everyday of the week. Mondays and Wednesdays I got to college for 4 hours that day. I walk dogs every 3 hours. If a dog has high energy I don’t mind long walks. I will also provide your animal with plenty of petting and make sure your animal feels as safe and welcomed as I can. I usually always walk dogs every 3 hours during day, every 4 hours at night and feed 2 meals per day (although I can work with any preferred schedule). For cats I clean litter box every night and also feed 2 times a day. I will keep your little baby entertained, and do my best to make them comfortable. I love all types of pets personalities shy, playful, cuddle bugs, and so on:)

About: For the past 6 years or so, I have been trusted to take care of family and family friends' animals while they are on vacation, including reptiles and small animals, leaving them worry-free knowing that their beloved fur babies are well taken care of and comfortable. I also have cared for senior dogs and have no problems accommodating their needs to make them as comfortable and happy as possible. I'm currently working from home, so I will always be here with the pets and can keep them entertained throughout the day. My schedule is pretty open, and I have no problem working the pets that I am sitting into my schedule if something comes up. I have a massive yard at home with plenty of room to run around and explore, lots of toys too, so there is always something for them to do, and giving them their own little vacation away from home. Being in the client's home is even better, allowing the pets to be in a familiar place while also having a new friend to play with. Following a set schedule with feeding and activity is something that I love to stick to; this keeps everyone as happy as possible.

About: I’ve always loved caring for animals and have been pet sitting for neighbors and family friends for years. I recently graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science, where I took courses focused on animal health, behavior, and training. During my time in Lubbock, I volunteered at a veterinary clinic and several animal shelters, where I gained hands on experience socializing and training dogs and cats with a variety of personalities and needs. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets. Whether it’s going for walks, sticking to their normal routine, playing with them, or simply keeping them company, I strive to make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing them with the best care possible! Since I recently graduated, I currently have a flexible schedule and am not working a full-time job. This allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs. I can dedicate plenty of time and attention to ensuring your pets receive the care and companionship they deserve. I care for pets in their own homes, where they are most comfortable. I follow all owner instructions and make sure pets receive the exercise, attention, and care they need while you’re away.

About: With over **40 years of hands-on experience** caring for animals of all kinds, my heart and home have always belonged to the furry, the feisty, and the four-legged. From the time I could walk, I was surrounded by a vibrant mix of animals—**German Shepherds, Huskies, Labradors, Poodles, Pomeranians**, and even the more unexpected companions like **raccoons, squirrels, and capuchin monkeys**. Each one taught me something new about loyalty, trust, and unconditional love. Pet sitting isn't just a job for me—**it’s a calling**. I provide every pet in my care with the same love, patience, and gentle attention I’ve given to my own over the years. Whether your fur baby is energetic and playful or calm and cuddly, I tailor my care to their unique personality and needs. From belly rubs and playtime to medication and special diets, I handle it all with heartfelt dedication. My goal is simple: **to give you peace of mind** knowing your beloved companion is safe, happy, and deeply cared for while you're away. Because when you're part of my pet sitting family, your pets become my pets too. 💕🐾 7 days per week availability. Require a minimum of 2 days' notice to book. I work from home in my day job and am able to flex my schedule to most clients' needs with minimum required notice as per above. I am very meticulous in my care for your furbaby and take pride in my ability to be astute and attentive in my care whether in your home or while walking your furbaby. About: I have about 6 years of experience taking care of pets. I have been dog sitting for about 6 years and am very comfortable with messy pets and have no problem cleaning. I have only taken care of dogs and cats but very willing to take care of any animal. I am also comfortable to take care of aggressive animals as the dogs that I have taken care of for 6 years can be a little aggressive towards people and animals since they are not that social. I’m currently a stay at home mom who loves pets and has been taking care of my moms 3 big dogs for almost 8 years I have a big back yard where my moms dogs play when they come over so they can burn off all their energy and there is a lot of squirrels outside to keep them entertained.

Kayla was an absolute lifesaver! She went above and beyond by coming to walk my dog, even in the rain. She was so thoughtful, always double-checking with me to confirm our plans. I hate leaving my dog alone, but when an emergency came up, Kayla stepped in to make sure my dog was cared for and had a chance to go outside. I’m so grateful for her help and reliability—thank you, Kayla!!

Christina was so amazing! Our pup Remi is almost 3yrs old and he’s never had a dog walker before. I also work from home so this was going to be the first time he was going to stay home for a much longer period of time by himself. Christina was very supportive of helping us get Remi used to having her come to the house. She was very attentive, kind, and helpful. On the last day we wanted to extend her time with Remi because he had so much fun with her and she was also very flexible with adding time. We will definitely be looking forward to the next time!

FAQs for Dog Walking - Somerset

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 2,247 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Somerset. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Somerset. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Somerset.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Somerset. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
