“Jacqueline is an awesome sitter. My kitties were so happy and healthy when we got home. She's great at making sure our cat got his medicine everyday and that they both felt loved. She also did a great job housesitting and making sure my garden survived our time away.”

“Hailey was amazing with our dog Luna!! She was able to accommodate our last minute scheduling while we were getting married. Her check ins with pictures and comments made us feel at ease while we were away. She even let Luna play with her dog for companionship!! She gave Luna a supplement too on top of her normal feeding. Thanks Hailey!!! We look forward to seeing you again!”

“Bri is great! I am very thankful to have found her close by. She is very professional, gave great details on her drop ins, and provided peace of mind while I was away. I plan to use her again!”

“Greg did a great job with Jack! He stopped by before his bookings for 2 meet and greets to make sure Jack was comfortable. He went above and beyond with the walks, hangouts and training. We’re excited to book Greg again and we know Jack is too.”

About: On a personal level, I have cared for and been family with dogs my entire life. As I got older, I found my current dog who has transformed my love and respect for dogs into something indescribable. After rescuing her at 3 months old, I have trained and raised her into a beautiful and fully-realized working-line dog. I have experience in advanced training of dogs that ranges from day-to-day obedience to scent imprinting and mind puzzles for high-drive/working breeds that require the mental stimulation. Regardless of your dog's personal needs, I will ensure that those needs are met and addressed in a fulfilling and rewarding way that will leave them feeling loved and satisfied. Depending on the week, you can expect to see me available up to five times in a week! I will do weekends and holidays without question. Every pet has their own specific and individualized needs. This knowledge will help me determine what is needed for your pet, such as longer/fast-paced walks to exercise a high-drive breed or a leisurely stroll for the beloved seniors. Drop-Ins will entail evaluating your pet's needs and addressing them accurately and satisfactorily.

“Abby was absolutely wonderful! I was in a pinch and needed someone to come over and check on my dog the same day. I blindly reached out to her, she responded quickly and was able to make it happen! We then had her come check on our dog the following 2 days as well. She let me know when she was on her way and gave me thorough updates throughout. I’ll absolutely be using her again and if highly recommend her!”

“Alyssa went above and beyond for Wyatt and I today! Previous walker canceled last minute after I had already left home & she popped right in to save the day! Really appreciate the quick response & the help she provided beyond Wyatt - he was very happy when I got home, so grateful! Thanks Alyssa! We’ll see you soon 😍”

“Amy is a natural with animals. I could can tell she really connects with them from the many photos and videos she shared with me. There was an incident of another dog running up to her off the lease while she was walking our big dog; she informed me and handled the situation like I would have. When we needed to extend our dog sitting days, she was very flexible. She is very responsible and has a warm personality. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to everyone!”

“Myranda was great. She last minute popped by to meet Penelope and check out the place. She provided details and photos each drop in visit. Will definitely book again!!”

“You did an amazing job with our two pups. The looked completely comfortable with you and I will absolutely contact you when we need someone to care for our little ones. A huge thank you!”

“Zahira is the best! She was available on a whim and I always feel great about leaving our babies with her. She goes above and beyond with communication and updates and takes the absolute best care of our dogs! She’s basically Remy’s favorite person!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12! I have been my family friends’ go-to pet sitter when they travel and take care of my brother’s dog for weeks at a time. I’m currently in school and my schedule varies, but I usually have free time in between classes and would love to use my extra time to spend with your pet! I will respect your home as my own and love your pet as my own too. I am a very neat, organized, and dependable person.
“Sarah did a fantastic job watching our pups while my wife and I were out. She kept us updated the whole time and made sure they were well taken care of. It was clear she gave them plenty of attention and love, and we came home to two happy dogs. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again next time we need someone reliable and caring.”

We ran into a snag during our vacation involving a cancelled flight and Julia went above and beyond to make sure our guys were cared for. Will definitely be hiring her again in the future!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Somerdale
I have never had a stranger take care of my dogs, so I was apprehensive about how my dogs would be with Julia. Well, I can honestly say that Julia was wonderful!! My dogs love her! She was very communicative, and sent me multiple pictures daily. I will definitely use Julia in the future.
We hired Brynn to come into our home to feed and walk our older dog when we went away overnight. She did an excellent job and sent us texts and photos each time. Our pup was in good spirits when we returned. I would definitely have her come again and recommend her highly.
We had such an amazing experience with Samantha, and we truly couldn’t recommend her more! Not only did she make sure our cats were happy, well-fed, and loved, but she also watered our plants! 🪴 She always included the cutest pictures in her updates which always made us smile! We even came home to printed photos of our cats along with a kind note—it was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that meant a lot to us! 🥹 If you’re looking for someone reliable, attentive, and truly kind, she is absolutely the best. 🙂

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
