Avery has been walking dogs for our local shelter for the past 2 years, being so dedicated as to find ways there when not having a vehicle or reliable way to get there. Now, 2 years later, she is still passionate and dedicated to spending time with animals and pets in her free time. She always finds ways to fit going to the shelter into her course schedule. Additionally, I have seen and been around her with pets firsthand and she is extremely attentive and happy to be around animals.

The care and knowledge Avery uses with animals is simply unmatched. I was able to watch her walk and play with a couple of dogs at our local shelter and I was truly blown away! Something that really stood out to me was her ability to calm dogs down and refocus their attention. When the shelter dogs saw Avery they got really excited and sometimes ended up jumping on her. She was able to calm the dog down while maintaining a positive relationship and continue on with their walk. After that instance, the dog was incredibly well behaved! She cares deeply about every animal she works with and has inspired me to start volunteering at the shelter myself! Avery is absolutely fantastic when it comes to pet care.

Avery has volunteered with our shelter since 2023. She has dedicated her time to helping walk dogs and has trained to our highest level of dog walking in order to work with some of our more challenging dogs. We love having Avery's help to ensure that our dogs receive quality care and enrichment!

Avery is such a caring and responsible friend to my fur babies! They get so excited when she walks in the door. Avery shows up on time, and goes above and beyond. She is 5 star!

Avery has been an animal lover for as long as we can remember. She could recall every pet’s name before most people’s!
