I started using Rover way back in 2013, doing housesitting and dog walks! Took a break for a long time, but I'm on the school schedule so my summer is open! In 2026 I have my own home with a fenced yard, a small dog who loves visitors, and some dog-friendly cats. Your dog will love it here!

My yard is fenced! Small dogs can potentially wiggle under my gate, so yard breaks are supervised. I have a patio and many toys as well as plenty of grass to roll around in.

Schedule
I'm on school hours, so I wake up early for a morning potty break for my dog, then he eats his breakfast while I get myself put together, then a quick leashed walk. He's alone for about seven hours. We have a potty break, playtime, dinner, an evening leashed walk, and usually another potty break in the yard around 10pm. During the summer break things change a little, my dog is alone a maximum of five hours, I'm not on quite as early a schedule.

- I have a checklist of things to ask about. Allergies, potential medical issues (heart trouble, history of seizures etc) and specifics relating to your dog's breed (such as bulldogs and respiratory issues, need to clean face folds and so on.) I'll ask about your particular dog's quirks. Do they need to potty in a particular place each time? Are they aggressive with other dogs? Do they resource guard, are they toy-aggressive? Do they like to be brushed? Any history of handling issues? I like to be well-informed.
